This progression is kinda wolfy a lot more than it is townie, I think.
The fact that Burns replied that way to Otto as if he was town and then considering the possibility of them being scum can be TMI-y. I think the reaction isn't coming from a town perspective.

As in, Burns wasn't considering what Otto's alignment was when he pushed Burns for the slank and replied as if he had him as a town read.
Then takes a step back and tries to figure it out?

Re: Bart's push on me. No, I'm not twisting your words. I interpreted them in the most commonsensical way. Others have said the same thing, that they found the discrepancy odd. I think you are going out of your way to try to find nits to pick at the point where you say that you found me waiting for Skinner townie but suspect that Skinner is my scumbuddy. Do you scumread Skinner? Why would you jump to that conclusion?
Marge: I don't think Lisa's read is TMI any more than any early game read is TMI. I thought the squabbling between the two of them based on getting/not getting a joke was pretty silly, and the stubborn/indignant way they pursued the convo was a good look. (Town are more likely to get stuck on something small and inconsequential early, scum tend to want to appease people and go along with the flow.) Lisa coming in and (successfully) breaking up the argument while calling both of them town matched my sentiments on the topic, and she could have easily let the argument spiral if she was scum. I townread her for that.

Where they have gone to the lengths of a Simpsons character sockpuppet account to play with???
You're lucky I stopped shitposting long enough to make this post...and mostly I'm only being serious because my dodgy internet has me in such an ill humor. If I get this shit straightened out I'll probably get right back into character and have you dumped in the green glowing pool out back.

The mentality behind this post is kind of weird, he’s shading Burns for it but doesn’t really care about his alignment beyond that. What reason did he have to doubt his claim here, if any?
Feels good enough for a D1 vote, haven’t seen anything villager-y since my return.

there's no urgency for them to get the voters off them, they're a lurker, they know what's coming for them if they don't improve. a scum lurker would just start solving in order to appease their voters.
if you disagree with that notion then perhaps you should look to do something more important with your time. I'm not arguing that he's locked town, it's good enough for day 1, the read can change. There's a 75% chance he's a town, your case is "he's doing nothing"

posting nothing or openly being defiant of the most simple of requests and just cruising in the background is either wolf behaviour or anti-town behaviour, and neither compel me to nod my head and go "this is good"
I don't get your insistence on turning it into an extreme. Yeah, anyone we pick will probably flip town... that doesn't mean our cases can just toss reason out the window. Homer might not be a wolf, he might just be town being anti-town. Okay cool, got it. Then why is your vote for me based on me asking Burns what issue they were having that took them out of commission for the early stretch? How is "I will not be playing this game despite me signing up and you asking me to participate" a good look that is good enough for D1 but "What problem did you have?" is this illuminating scum tell that must be chopped? The consistency and logic behind your positions simply do not parse, and telling me to go case other people is dismissive deflection.

Bart-fun gifs, but open called for activity...liked his direct interaction
ComicBook-kinda meh personally, but I'm not fighting Otto on this one

Krusty-making pushes, stirring pots
Lisa-not pushy, but weighing in...will probably be readable
Otto-most active and intentional mover and shaker in the thread so far
People who seem useless but not worth fighting with today:
Homer-has Marge in the "mind meld pocket"
Marge-married mindlessly to Homer
Maybe subbed so let them be:
Hugh Jass
Millhouse
Would chop:
Flanders-high certainty proclamation that I happen to know is dead wrong, no back up or reasoning, no other significant interactions

Yeah, it seems a little too convenient.
Flanders and Skinner are getting a lot of attention, same with Marge. Lisa might be an outlier in that sense but the list and lack of build up to it. I dunno.
Feels like a great "let me hide behind my sheeped list" play.

Could be...but as a "whoa I have blown off the vast majority of day one" entrance it isn't totally badOtto Mann wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2020 1:19 pmYeah, it seems a little too convenient.

he at least weighed in (ultra lightly, but still) on everyone
I mean, if he had just come in and sheeped a couple reads that would have been worse

Not gonna fight to save the guy, but I think the attention on Flanders and Skinner is well deserved and I'm staying in there.
But I'd be amused if the hounds got the donut eater and his blue haired mate.

I get off my shift at the ice rink 2 hours before EoD. I will be back to solve the entire game at that time.

Re: The Simpsons Mafia [DAY 1]
Are you implying they're W/W? A bad read may be just that...why do you seem eager to put a player in a scum pile simply cuz' you feel their reads are bad? Also, how do you know their reads are bad? You may not agree with it, but at this stage you shouldn't have any real idea of what a good or bad read isGrampa Simpson wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2020 12:07 pmpointing out how bad your read is seems like a perfectly good use of time to meMarge Simpson wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2020 11:54 ami'm town reading them for not tailoring their posts to satisfy their pushers that demand better contentGrampa Simpson wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2020 11:49 am EOD is in less than ten hours and you are reading "no urgency, doing their own thing" as town. Three gifs, two of which are in response to direct pressure, and you're "Looks good to me" about it.
there's no urgency for them to get the voters off them, they're a lurker, they know what's coming for them if they don't improve. a scum lurker would just start solving in order to appease their voters.
if you disagree with that notion then perhaps you should look to do something more important with your time. I'm not arguing that he's locked town, it's good enough for day 1, the read can change. There's a 75% chance he's a town, your case is "he's doing nothing"
good luck convincing people with that one, pops
posting nothing or openly being defiant of the most simple of requests and just cruising in the background is either wolf behaviour or anti-town behaviour, and neither compel me to nod my head and go "this is good"
I don't get your insistence on turning it into an extreme.
Spoiler: show

I say anti-town play is bad
someone goes "anti-town play is good, actually"
third person comes in and says "who are we to decide what is a good or bad read, really" (total nonsense and gives "anti-town play is good" a run for its money)
