(Man I'm really into playing Devil's Advocate today, but please bear with me because of my conflicted feelings about Eloh)

You mentioned above that you stated "She hasn't contributed a single original thought."

However, If Eloh was indeed on a team (and thus she voted earlier to save/attempt to save a teammate) then wouldn't her teammates be feeding her some original things she could say, if she hasn't found her feet yet in such a large game?

Please let me know if this was not as coherent as I intended. I'm a bit in a rush to make it to yoga on time.

(Eloh, I hope it doesn't make you feel awkward me talking about you when you're in the room, sug).
If it comes from somebody else, then it wasn't original. ;)

And go reread FZ.- she was on the same team as MP and no one was feeding her lines. She was scrambling.

Frankly, I have never understood this mindset. "If so and so was bad, wouldn't their team script things for them to say?" I have been bad and won as such plenty of times. I don't recall ever telling someone what to do. I save that shit for the thread. :ohyeah:

I am willing to assume that, at the very least, Epig is not on MP's team, since he was agressive in calling him out early. He might be on the other baddie team, but I am reading him as good.

It's my opinion that if Epi is bad and Elo is good or on another team he would go for someone besides his wife. We have a wide open board. Why pick her ahead of all the other people he could go after? If it were me, I'd choose to go after anyone but my sweetie pie. (Maybe later when it becomes a must, but not early.) Just my opinion though.

Q: What does your context and Tom Bombadil have in common?
A: Neither make any sense.

There's a complicated beauty about games with two Mafia. On the one hand, it balances a game because generally, the Mafia need to eliminate each other as well as the civilians. On the other hand, it gives the Mafia someone to hunt for other than civilians.

I am calling Elohcin out as not just bad, but on a specific team. If I am wrong, then one of two things happen:

1) I lynch a civilian and lose a fair amount of credibility regarding my spouse.
2) I lynch my own teammate.

Also, thanks for expounding on my idea.

I do agree with you, and was surprised that FZ flipped baddie. Do you suppose the other bad team might have been protecting one of their own? But obvious, if so.
That could very well be true.

But another possibility I've just realized, Elo placed a vote on k4j when they were tied at 5. Could have also been an attempt at a baddie save?

Looks like FZ was a good call after all! :) Her team is really getting swept away right now. Perhaps we could be looking at another Pokemon style roll? I'm gonna use my rope to swing across, but I do wonder if everyone who does so might find different results. Like maybe after a while the branch will just snap completely and someone will fall in?

This is me just asking, not necessarily about Epig, but in general, as this comment gave me this thought:

Do you worry that the thread is being steered by members of the other Goblin/baddie team if we're only getting people from MP's team? Let's say Epig is right and Elo is on MP's team (And the more I read from him, the more likely I think it is)... that team is almost gone. Where are the other baddies? I certainly don't mind destroying them, but I worry that we will get entrenched in someone with "civvie" cred. Are you worried about this?

I guess I'll tray nd find a place to ford.

It seems either lazy or opportunistic to follow Epig so blindly like you are. I don't think you are a lazy player. What if Epig is bad and setting her up? What if he's just doing it to feel other people out like he did in Viral Vids recently? What if he's just plain wrong?

Yay for getting another baddie! I'll do my best to keep up this round and not have seven pages of text to catch up on.

This Night choice seems like one of those choose-your-own-adventure books, and I forgot my damned rope. Right now I'm thinking I'd like to veer from the path so I can ford the river, but at the same time, I almost wanna see what will happen if I choose to cross the river, as no one else so far is choosing that option. I'll think about it for a bit.

I don't know what "several" times means - Epig why don't you clear that up. How many times have you been wrong about Elo? Are you just testing her by voting her early? If I'm wrong about him this time Elo i owe you an apology - I just don't think I am.

I also brought a rope and choose to swing.
It seems either lazy or opportunistic to follow Epig so blindly like you are. I don't think you are a lazy player. What if Epig is bad and setting her up? What if he's just doing it to feel other people out like he did in Viral Vids recently? What if he's just plain wrong?
Well, he's only been wrong once, so I'm not too worried about that. As I explained earlier, it is my opinion that if he is bad he is not setting her up. Why would he pick his wife to set up as opposed to the many other people he could pick. It just doesn't make sense to me that he would do that. In the times I've seen him do this - many times - he doesn't bring her up to feel her out. He only brings her up when he knows she was good or bad. I've just seen this same behavior from Epig too many times to not believe it. I'm not sure what you mean by opportunistic - I never have understood what people mean when they say that - but I'm certainly not lazy. Do I know with 100% certainty that he is right or he is not bad? Of course not. Everyone is making a bet that they are interpreting evidence correctly when they make their vote, including me. Also, I didn't play Viral Videos so I'm not sure what went on there.

hi Kyle :) also thanks Mongoose for getting my question answered :)

From where I am at, here are my thoughts:

I don't really find Dom to be suspicious, but I find thellama to be genuine in his suspicions as well.

I also find Daisy to be very genuine in her reasoning, but I see how MPs day 1 vote for her can look bad. I don't find her to be suspicious as of yet

I don't know what to make of inh vs juliets. I find it unfortunate he finds juliets to be rude since she is one of the nicest players I know so hopefully he will get to know her better and find the same  I don't think inh is suspicious for his reaction though.

Epignosis and TH both seem very sound in their reasoning this game. :srsnod:

ok I'm sure there is more but that's all for now. night :offtobed:

The night 1 poll was "what did you forget to bring?" so anyone who didn't vote rope should be able to swing.

Epig is not like you Jules...he would pick his sweetie pie without any regret.

If Eloh is on a baddie team, is she not a good enough player to create her own thoughts? Also true for any seasoned mafia player?

Also. :haha: Have fun at yoga.
Yeah, I was in the car on the way to yoga wishing I'd put more of a disclaimer. I think Eloh is totally capable of putting forth sound, articulate arguments. However, she said earlier (now this in my own words) she was having a bit of a time finding her feet in this game that has 10 billion people in it, so I can totally understand. Relying on teammates while you get your sealegs is nothing to be ashamed of and has no bearing of the high caliber of her skills or mafia acumen.

dude. Yoga annihilated me tonight. We did handstands and a billion jump throughs and it was completely mental. I do yoga 7 times a week (I skip Weds but do it twice on Sundays) yet I was afraid I was going to have to call for a ride home; my muscles were not reacting when I told them initially to walk to the car. Very relaxing and restorative though at the end during Savasana.

He may have mentioned more than FZ, but I doubt he would have called them all out. Also, it is not all that surprising he would go after a teammate. He and I went after each other aggressively in AHS when we were on a Baddie team. He has "suspected" teammates on plenty of other occasions too.

If he were bad and painting her as bad, he would be the next person you'd be looking at. It is too far for a Baddie to stick their neck out for the benefit of just one lynched opponent. They have the advantage of BTSC but the disadvantage of numbers, they are not likely to sacrifice one of themselves for a small benefit.

Elo, say it ain't so! I hadn't suspected you yet this game, but Epi raises some good points about you. You are on my rereading list for tomorrow :ponder:

K4j, I am sorry I did not get to conversate with you more, I couldn't withold my vote any longer because I was on my way into work, but tbh I also felt like I had heard all I needed to. I was CONVINCED you were on MP's team and most of my arguments came from reading your posts that way. But seeing that FZ was on MP's team I need to reevaluate how I feel about you, as I did not really suspect FZ much, and part of me was trusting her take on you. I plan on rereading you still, and if I have any questions about what I read, I'll be sure to bring them up so that you can address them.

Okay, sure, but personally I feel I need to talk through every single thought that I'm thinking because that's how I work best to baddie hunt. Question the content or purpose of my posts if you need, but I personally feel everything I'm saying serves some purpose, and what Epig fails to mention is that baddies can be caught in situations where they continuously post and vote things like expressed in his 2a and 2b points. Personally, I'm of the "more discussion = better" camp, and people have every right they want to disagree. Sometimes though, a fellow civvie can help convince you that maybe you were thinking of something the way they were, and that maybe there was some substance to it. Besides, when you're not lying, you have nothing to lose, and I lay it all out there. My baddie game is based on trying to make it seem like my civvie game as much as possible, and my civvie game is defined by expressing every single thing I'm thinking that I feel helps contribute to finding baddies or to help sorting through my thoughts.

My playstyle gets a lot of flak, and I've tried changing it even, but I never will because it's just how I play, even if sometimes the "purpose" of some of my posts is questionable. But you could argue the same of so many other type of posts in the game as well.
If I had been more active at this point, the bolded part probably would have made me throw a vote onto MP. To me, him sitting there and trying to justify what is his "civvie game" and what is his "baddie game" in the middle of a game would have come off as disingenuine to me. I know we've discussed things like this together in person, but I feel it's almost a bit forced here. Almost like he's trying to use this to justify his position.

Also, you tend to post every single thing you're thinking whether you're good or bad. So nice try with that one. :p
BWT, what the hell lol. You didn't have time to go through the thread enough to make a vote that wasn't just for the gold, but you have time to dig up this old post of a known baddie and say why it was suspicious? The halfling's leaf has clearly slowed your mind.

What do you think about defending them rather than suspecting them? It is common to want a balance, but the fact that it is common is also a reason not to have a balance.

That being said, I definitely think that FZ distanced herself from someone else and probably suspected a teammate. It is not like her to defend her teammates, so I think she probably suspected someone on her team (I forget how many members that team has). Especially after she was seen wrongfully suspecting MP, she probably made it a point to note some suspicion during Day 2. I am wondering if anything can be found from this post in particular.

I do not think she would have went to the trouble to say what she did about Rey, had she been his teammate. So I don't think they're on the same team.

It's possible she's on Mongoose's team because those where the two main suspects and she ended up going with me over Mongoose even though, IMO, we both had a chance at the wind blowing towards us (at the time), so perhaps she chose me for that reason?

Same above, with INH, as far as potential wind blowing there. Plus she paired him with MM. That could be trying to hide him and not draw much attention to him but at least have it there if she needed to.

She's always talking about Vomp so I don't think there is necessarily anything there.

Further, if practically the only player neither of them mentioned was Elo, then I think you might be onto something.

If Elo is indeed a teammate and I do think there is a good possibility of that, I don't think that the other baddie would have been left along/ignored. I am almost positive that FZ suspected at least one of her teammates after what went down with MP. Just knowing her. I would be shocked if she didn't.

Though I will say this, I was wondering why she was bringing it up. Game after game she does it. It is always possible she was bringing Vomp up this time just to get that I told you so edge in-case he were to go down. I have no opinion of his actions, I haven't paid enough attention to him but this is a possibility.

Are you suggesting that the remaining 2 members both went un-cited, or that someone else instead of Elo went un-cited and she is not their teammate?
