Re: Hip Hop Mafia [FULL GAME]
Wow MP, this game looks pretty "fly" and "hip". I may have to get my "homies" to "break it down" and play.

This game is, in a way, the "sequel" to my Classic Rock game I hosted way back when on The Piano. I've been telling myself I would have the 'spiritual' sequel to that game someday, but I debated on what approach I wanted to take, and which musical genre/era I wanted to concentrate on next. Similarly to my Classic Rock game (40 roles), this game is planned to be quite massive (41 roles), but may be flexible to role cuts. Like Classic Rock, it features a heavily publicized and intriguing musical genre and culture, and I believe this game has the most similar 'feel' of any game to Classic Rock that I've ever designed. Unlike Classic Rock, however, which had three mafia teams of five members each and three independent teams, this game features a much larger single mafia team. I have never made a mafia team with more than five members before, so that's my main new approach for this game, and where it primarily differs from Classic Rock. Of course, the roles and culture are different, and there are some features of this game I am not revealing
that should prove to be very neat, so I am very excited to host this someday in the not so soon future.
Comments and feedback are incredibly welcome, as always! Any way you believe I can improve this game, I would heavily appreciate it, but if you have no criticism and want to boost my ego, well, that's welcome as well.

Re: Hip Hop Mafia [FULL GAME]
Alright, just edited in the Feuds dynamic as well; I failed to cover that too much in my previous "last comments".
I think that dynamic will lead to some interesting vote manipulation and is the best way to incorporate the hip hop feud concept, but suggestions on that are particularly welcome too!

According to one mathematical formula regarding Mafia numbers (in an all vanilla game), the Wu-Tang Clan have a 140% chance of winning this.

Re: Hip Hop Mafia [FULL GAME]
Do you expect this hip hop game will have much ambient music or groundbreaking art rock in it, and if not can you recommend another one that might?

Re: Hip Hop Mafia [FULL GAME]
I LOVE it. I would suggest to add El-P and cLOUDDEAD (or one its members) to experimental, add Kool Keith to the East Coast, and integrate Organized Konfusion and Odd Future somehow, as well as giving Southern Hip Hop its own section with Three 6 Mafia, UGK, Goodie Mob, and so on. Although to cover adequate territory this would have to be split into either two very big games or just be one REALLY, REALLY big game.

Re: Hip Hop Mafia [FULL GAME]
I'm so glad you do! And I know what you mean, there were definitely roles I wanted to include but just couldn't, since 41 players is already so incredibly massive. I suppose a Hip-Hop Mafia 2 could be a way around that!Keterman wrote:I LOVE it. Re: Hip Hop Mafia [FULL GAME]
There could even be an instrumental hip hop category for Nujabes, DJ Shadow, J Dilla, and so on. Decisions decisions.

The lack of Lupe makes me upset, MP.
That being said, this game looks stunning!

Re: Hip Hop Mafia [INCOMPLETE]
I've moved this ancient game to The Basement since I never went through with submitting it.
It will be revamped as we speak. And I will have an awesome co-host.
