I take another bite of sweet potato pie
Wondering why I deprive myself of her company
Most of the year, only allowing her to grace my mouth
on Thanksgiving week.

You can take the rest of it home, dunya offers.
Seeing how totally enamored I am with her.
I put aluminum foil lovingly around her top
Begrudging my baby brother’s plea
“I want to taste sweet potato pie.”

He does not like it, of course,
so our unthinking mother throws it away.
I dig it out of the trash seconds later.
Tiny bite marks will not stop me from
devouring this piece in my dorm room.

Dunya gives me a thumbs up
as I leave to go back to college.
Next year I will make another one

I mean

Ok so basically generic pecan pie is pretty much garbage but if you have the good homemade stuff that isn’t just a gelatinous filling with some pecans on top it’s pretty solid. But yeah 98% of pecan pies are pretty bad.

The Orb of Odin

In a castle in medieval Scandinavia, eight warriors are meeting around a rectangular table. They are members of a special guard that exists to protect the king of their land.

A week ago, they learned that a mighty sorcerer was plotting to take over the kingdom, and that some of the warriors may have been helping the wizard gain power. But they have no way of knowing who the traitors are.

And most importantly, they have another mission. Last night, one of the eight warriors was called to the Statue of Odin in the back of the castle. There, a ritual was done where the statue produced the Orb of Odin, a black orb with a symbol of infinite on it. Whoever shatters the orb shall have the power to kill one person instantly. The warrior was instructed to guard the orb with his life, and not let the traitors obtain it. No one knows which warrior was the one who received the orb.

The eight men stare at each other. Then, they decide to go back to their positions. Hopefully they will spot the traitors before they manage to kill the rest of the group.

Same. I think I'm pretty good at it, at least as far as a complete amateur can be.

i played it a couple of times and im genetically incredibly disadvantaged, im way too tall and can't bend over low enough, and when i bend as low as i can, my glasses naturally lean down cuz of the angle my body has to take and i get blind and i cant see shit
