everything since the beginning of D2 has felt like Saw movie or something. IDK if mafia games end up like this usually but there's not a good vibe at all.

I want to be clear that it is not the norm, at least not on The Syndicate. It does happen sometimes, because Mafia is inherently a game of emotion. There will always be moments of relative toxicity, hostility, and aggression -- but the broader experience is not so extreme.

And any game can be a greater pleasure to play if we play it with respect. I don't mean to patronize; much of my own play in this game was lazy and perhaps more inflammatory as a result. But I think we can change that culture moving forward, regardless of anyone's alignment.

The strength and confidence they are showing in these reads don't feel genuine when you look at the reasoning for the read. If I shared that logic, my level of confidence would be fairly low.

I'll share one bit that makes me doubt this, and you please tell me what you think of that: when Mac went ham against Esooa, nutella was the most eager participant alongside him. I think that, at least during that brief period of the game, nutella would have been happy to destroy Esooa on Day 1. Do you think that was fake?

A few other notes from my blind analysis:

~ tutuu is town. Go ahead and seal that up. She doesn't fit with many people, and she seems town as hell anyway.

~ I don't think the analysis did anything to create new tinfoil for people I viewed as town prior, primarily nutella and Nanook. It worked out nicely for Esooa as well, who I think only fits on limited and low-probability mafia teams.

~ It's not super conclusive for the town reads more proned to tinfoil, e.g. Alison and SPF, but nor does it make me worry more about either of them.

~ A pretty clear POE pile of four emerges: [Ellie, Made, Michelle, Grogu]. There's enough inter-compatibility among them that I think it works nicely. The POE can be as big as six, so add two more for best results.

~ DK was difficult to parse given the drop in participation rate and the relatively low content-depth per post. From a production standpoint he isn't that different from Grogu, though I would still say he feels more town than not.

perfect honesty? i have no fucking clue who the third member is, and came into this day(23rd) hoping to figure that out. But we haven't been done that. But I was asked for my gut guess was so i said the first one that came to mind.

I don't think people understand what I said about Nutella. We've all had confidence in reads we get, but go reread what Nutella is saying, and the way the confidence is immediate but lacking the evidence that would create some genuine read.

The moment when Nutella mocked me and said i can start lolcatting is forgotten but i just answered at what she said and now @nutella says I was lolcatting like it was my desire to do so.

This way of presenting the reality is for town like fooling themselves and for scum a very good play. I am not considering this a good play though.
I know Nutella as a good player, and I doubt very much she would play like this as villager.
For me she is mafia because she doesn't re-evaluate and she is rigid in reads.
She should notice that Long Con is villager but she didn't.
Because her wincon didn't let her.

That's just how I am with certain reads. I get that people don't vibe with me saying Michelle "literally outed" but that's legitimately the feeling I got from many of her posts last night. She did actually claim scum a couple times and post jokey cat pictures and those posts all boosted my confidence that she is just mafia. Think what you want but it's the impression I got.

I sort of think that Koba would be more active/pushy about reads if they were a wolf, just because they'd be buried the deepest out of all the wolves and have to do something to help their team. Either they use their clout to try to crack the towncore by raising tinfoil, or they bury a teammate and go deep. They haven't really done either. They've just been content gliding along and doing their own thing, which points to no agenda to me. So Koba is still just town for me.

If you are town, then you should probably rethink how you play this aspect of the game. All this fraudulent confidence does is make you look scummy and make you biased toward a read when it's not as good as you think

So I would appreciate perspectives on my views of Michelle/Ellie, because from my vantage point that's the most important interaction to sort right now.

I think that Ellie can be with Michelle.

I'm not quite sure how I feel about Made, I don't share the confidence some people have on him and to me Michelle is the clear choice.
