Do you think there's any validity in comparing Michelle to Chemist in the Finale D2? Off-kilter reads against the town core, consensus suspect, demoralized by errant suspicion, groaned and walked to the gallows

hmm....they are similar in the sense that i recall struggling to fully understand/vibe with chemist's perspective, and in both cases, they both got demoralized because of the level of pressure on them

i suppose the core difference i can point out is that chemist's reads appeared to have a lot of thought behind them even if i didnt understand them - whereas michelle's reads are concerningly reactive and focused solely on who's fos'ing her at any given moment

if memory serves it went alison sat on lc all day--cuz afk-- comes back to thread switches to ellie (a bus). then switches back for hammer, and switches from ellie again almost hammers michelle, but then goes "okay wait" when i pulll some mess. she didn't have to do that. which makes her x ellie very hard because why would you do that as mob when you're teammate and another town are the other options. seems like a weird, and unnecessary dice roll.

ehhhhh, could be distancing. the writing was on the walls for a michelle wagon, but we weren't super close to the hammer where his words would of made the difference between a michelle hammer and no michelle hammer. i don't really remember anything between them on d1 in either direction in terms of anti-alighment, so maybe that's on me

im still lowkey upset at how eso called my ellie vote "weird" and "eXtReMeLy ScUmMy" and now shes voting ellie herself. This is townie hypocrisy on her part in its purest form

i was under the impression michelle just gave up (as mafia) and im consider the posibility of her regaining some bursts of motivation (to keep posting as mafia and/or provide anti spew for partners) but the most logical thing to think is that she gave up (as town) and wanted to punish her teammates (the towns) by hammering herself because she doesnt feel like she was treated fairly a la long con self hammering. i think. dunno. my heart isnt in the game rn

Why is Ellie town

for me it's mostly tone, she read like a vaguely new-to-mafia player who seems to be playing in a way that doesn't really have an agenda and for a while--beside on me--we were on the same wave length.

I also don't like how yesterday thread from lc to her to lc, and then lc flips town. I feel like mafia would want to not get their hands dirty with LC, so they needed to go somewhere and that someone ended up being Ellie. Then when they realized everyones hands would be dirty cuz hammer they followed through with the lc lynch, and now they have a strategy for the next 3 or so days. bake ellie, bake me, and now im starting to see a world where esooa is green and they bake her as well

being illogical is not inherently scummy, but the issue is that michelle is a good and logical player, and the basis of her reads are, without exaggeration: "the three people who voted me are 100% mafia", with no nuance, no reconsideration, and no visible scumhunting. i wouldn't care if michelle's reads were illogical if i felt like she was thinking deeply about the game - but her thought process (in addition the fact that she accused me of lying about being drunk lol...) gives me zero indications that she's playing from a town mindset

that said, four of my biggest townreads and one of my townleans are voting for ellie right now. i've scumread ellie all day (and on d1, to a lesser extent), and i think that she has a high level of scum equity. so, it would be foolish for me to say that people should unvote ellie and vote for michelle instead. i just don't want michelle to get off w/out putting in the level of scumhunting i know that she is more than capable of doing

Michelle's reads are difficult to assess. She painted herself into an awkward corner by town reading everyone except a specific mafia team of three -- the omgus squad. I don't know what to do with that, but I understand perceptions that it's inauthentic.
