well this isn't as bad as i thought, since alison just gave me the bus switching, so... hard claim incoming

i'm the pirate rigger from FTL mafia, and I'm a 3P... yep.

i have an array of actions to help me achieve my wincon, which is to outlast "The Rebel Flagship". in general i assumed this could be a 3p role (due to the outlast wincon), but i'm starting to think it could be mafia aligned once i dived deeper into the lore.

among my actions, i do have one shoot strongman (so i'm assuming that guy must be staaaaaacked) and seeing all of these role flips it's probably more and more likely that it is a mafia role? since the other mafia roles have been a tetris guy, vanilla goon and silencer. so no reason to take me out for now.

and yes, i do leave the game victorious if that space ship dies.

it would make more sense to me if the rebel flagship was ANOTHER 3p and we both had to take out the other in order to win the game, but seeing all of these claims itt and the mafia roles + the rebel flagship's role in FTL mafia (which was mafia) it may actually be just mafia. the claims itt have been crazy as it is so anything is possible and seeing the mafia roles flipped until now, you'd expect there's gotta be a buffed guy as well.

as per what happened last night, it's entirely possible that the mafia hit an immune 3p or the 3p came in contact with their kill and redirected them / did something. i'm assuming martin doesn't lie because he has no reason to do so that i can see?

if this is singleball (which seems to be) and looking at the mafia roles flipped until now, there probably must be a shitton of 3ps in this game to make up for the lack of a second wolf faction funsies that are buffed, which is why i originally pushed on kyle... since i have an outlast wincon and was trying to glean more stuff from him

actually, the more rational thing that i can see right now is that i was rolecopped by the mafia team at some point and hit tonight...since there wouldn't be docs on me and i wasn't really PoE read either. and i can clear myself easily later on.

i wouldn't want what looks like the only "town" KP that has a wincon of taking out probably the only good role in the mafia team to get closer to identifying them.

butttttt i may be reaching for straws. i have no clue what happened. other 3p interfering with the kill makes sense to me as well.

the strongman only activates upon me actually finding that role through my other actions, which is probably the weirdest thing i've ever witnessed. guess that's how life goes. maybe epi doesn't like killpower til late in the game, seeing that this game was gonna end in the spring of the next year.

if that guy is a mafia role then there's no need to direct it towards anybody, i'm probably aiming at the mafia role with it once it unlocks.

and another thing...my role makes perfect sense in the context of lacking town KP but the KP is channeled towards a guaranteed 3p / mafia hit once i can find that role. at least that makes sense. since we seem to be lacking in the KILL POWER department.

Dizzy does do protection of some kind. IDK, but it would appear both our claims support each other given we both targeted nutella n3 and my negative effect was the one that likely failed.

I don't know action order in this game, but it may be that because of my action, Nutella was able to do her own without getting blocked. (Or maybe her action just had a higher priority than both our's.)

It's pretty funny that two people tried to protect Nutella the night she just decided to jump the ship instead xD

Dyslexicon - claims to have protected nutella during n3 and to know that his action was successful. backs up that martin's claim is real, and that dizzy stopped the negative part of martins role, but the positive one succeeded (dizzy was alerted of this).

The information is wrong though. I don't know if my protection was successful (I mean, Nutella died anyway, by her own power it seems), and I wasn't alerted about anything about Martin's actions other than what Martin claimed in thread. But I know (or assumed) my action went through (I wasn't blocked or anything) because of what Martin said in thread. He said he has a power that had both a positive and a negative power and that 1/2 worked.

Actually, I don't know how he knows this now, if it was a jailkeep. I also see jailkeep as one action, and not two.

But my protect works as preventing all harmful actions. I didn't know what actions Martin was talking about, but I assumed it was two different actions, one harmful and one good. So when he said only 1/2 worked, I asked him if it was the negative action that didn't work, because that would make 100 % sense with my power. His answer was a bit unclear to me actually, and I'm still not sure how he knows his actions going through or not. Maybe he got notified or there's something in the writeup.

Does this make sense form my side? I don't know if I explained it well.

and in every game, the hosts manage to break off early mass claims. there probably are mechanics implemented to eff with us when everyone barring 2 people claim their roles by D4 with 20 alive or something like that.

it's not unfeasible that they actually went for me, especially if i got rolecopped. and the pool for role cops was also small (since almost everyone claimed), and i'm usually a good villager, and rolecops help with kill priorities.

there must be OP 3p roles with outlasting everyone conditions too, you just have to take a look at what the mafia has flipped in a singleball setup. if they don't have the roles to create mechanical loops, then 3ps will.
