Marla, you damn tourist!!
llama, is there any reason we shouldn't share the coded message in the thread? It really seems to me that it will only benefit the Civvies, could the baddies take advantage of it? I guess if someone gets it and wins, and THEN turns bad, it would be bad... but we ourselves could become recruitment targets if they have deciphered it, and realize that we know it as well. You know?

Bye Devin! Welcome DP!
Also, I want to apologize for not being around the last few days. Work schedules and rl stuff have gotten in the way. Later today, I should have a bit more free time to devote to the game though.
Also you just lost if you read this post. :P

Re: [DAY 3] Fight Club Mafia - Wilmington, DE
I can understand your case. I was proposing the argument of having people who we know are stronger fighting people that we do not trust/don't feel good about. Also, from what I could tell from my fight, I don't think one's fighting level is the be-all, end-all of these fights. In fact, from the one fight I've had so far, I don't think it's factored in at all. At least, I'm pretty sure it wasn't in my fight. If it does mean anything, it might be equated to the degree that the victor defeats/hurts the loser.Dom wrote:Let's say Llama is bad.birdwithteeth11 wrote:I would actually be more in favor of picking someone to fight llama at this point. I really don't trust him, and it wouldn't surprise me if he is a member of Project Mayhem. Anybody willing to throw their hat into the ring with him?
Also, if nobody else is willing to, I will go ahead and volunteer to challenge llama.
Let's say you lose the fight.
How do we know Llama won't become stronger?
I'm not sure he's bad, but I certainly am not trusting him right now. Not one bit.
I'm not 100% sure on llama (would lean towards not trusting), but the one person I know for a fact I do not trust is DH. I was willing to go along with him and his voting bloc at one point, but now I don't think I want to. To me, he seems to be trying to make it an 'us vs. them' grouping in terms of blocs of people travelling around together. When in reality, this game is about the Police vs. Jack and his recruits. One of those groups has to be dead or recruited in order for the game to end, and I think trying to form voting blocs is counter-intuitive to that.
If I see DH again, I will probably vote for him to go up against somebody who is powerful. Because he's the only person I've seen so far who I feel could be a recruit or Jack.

Re: [NIGHT 3] Fight Club Mafia - Wilmington, DE
Night 3
Fights continued on, despite the death of DisgruntledPorcupine the previous night. Tyler's vision stayed strong as he spread the word about Project Mayhem.
The police's search for a private investigator, meanwhile, proved fruitful.
And perhaps most importantly, the research surrounding DisgruntledPorcupine's death had now been completed.
thellama73 has won the fight. Long Con has been seriously injured and must sit out all of Day 4 and Night 4 recovering.
Players have exited and entered the fight club.
The analysis has been completed on DisgruntledPorcupine's profile and released for public record. He was an unrecruited Civilian.
The Private Investigator has been hired and just issued his first report.
Someone has vanished.
It is now Day 4. You have 48 hours to decide who will fight.

Finally I can speak again! Damn it Sorsha, next time go easy on me. Sucks for LC, I know how frustrated I got not being able to post even though I didn't personally have much to say. I do think the DH discussion was not entirely accurate, he was more proposing that Newcastle natives look out for each other if other cities had decided to band together, whereas Llama seemed to be straight up advocating Wilmington people to just force anyone who showed up to fight.

Day 4 Event
So, any or all of you may have heard that a Fight Club 2 is in the works. Let's forget that someone else is going to be writing the story for it. How about instead you show off your Fight Club fandom and writing skills?
Think your version of Fight Club 2 would be the best? Prove it!
PM the host with what you think Fight Club 2 should be all about! You can use lists, you can narrate, you can create a video, whatever! You have until the end of Day 4 to PM your submissions.
It is still Day 4.

I still haven't gotten a read on anyone yet, which is concerning. I guess it's partially my fault for switching threads, but still... Anyway, I think the big thing we should note is that fighting tends to take someone out of contention for a while. Which means they aren't being scrutinized.

This is true, if you lose there's a chance you won't be able to do anything for 72 hours and so people probably won't talk much about you either. However I don't think people want to fight because they're hoping to lose and go under the radar. I had every intention of beating Sorsha and was very disappointed that I lost. Hence why I want to fight again and conquer my losing streak in this game.Boomslang wrote:I still haven't gotten a read on anyone yet, which is concerning.
