Re: [Night 2] Masters of the Universe Mafia
Hmmm, ok. I just noticed Dex voted in the non-player section, so that clears it up. Well the spiders were too gross for me and the horned panthers seem too awesome to eat, so I suppose that makes dinner chimp and snake-thingy.
I think your theory on the Stridor info is likely spot-on. I'm all for people sharing, but unfortunately I didn't pick Stridor, so that's far from my most selfless comment ever.

Re: [Night 2] Masters of the Universe Mafia
I think the theory that they correlate for different teams is interesting. But I all think that the fact that the spider is not called a race seems equally interesting. I was just going to vote spider based on that, but I think I might hedge my bet and toss a vote on both. That will keep the two options tied just in case the furlong is our civ aligned option.

I think Russ hit it spot on. Either each item corresponds directly to a team, or each one produces a different effect of some kind when it is eaten.
Did anyone happen to pick the forest btw? I ended up going with the Ice Mountains, and I doubt that location will have any info that is helpful here haha.
I kind of wish I had waited a bit longer and thought about my choices more. Because I'm starting to second-guess myself...

Or you could spend this time expanding a bit more on why you aren't bad. You said you didn't have a lot of time earlier when initial suspicions from myself and others were brought up. But given that it's the weekend and a night phase, I'd think you would be willing to post a bit more other than "I'm not bad."timmer wrote:or maybe I'm not bad, as ive been saying pretty insistently all along, and the baddies see me as a great way to waste another day. I know that I'm a newbie, but I was the one that first said, "As for dinner: Knowing Epignosis, there has got to be more meaning behind each choice of meat and most likely consequences for our choices. That fact that you can choose more than one makes me suspicious as well." And everyone is giving credit to Russ who said, "I have no idea what to make of this poll. My bet is that each food corresponds to a team and that the team whose associated food gets the most votes has something happen to them. Whether it's good or bad, though, I have absolutely no idea. It could also just be that one food makes its eaters sick and useless for a time or something."

I agree with BWT. Timmer, please elaborate on why you aren't bad. If you cannot, I think we out to vote timmer again tomorrow. I am thinking he had some kind of lynch stop for a day. I can't see him being invincible for more than one night.birdwithteeth11 wrote:Or you could spend this time expanding a bit more on why you aren't bad. Re: [Night 2] Masters of the Universe Mafia
Yeah I agree with MP and BWT here. After the ‘you’ll regret this’ bit, followed by the failed lynch I ‘m even more convinced of Timmer’s guilt and I think we need answers. Unless he is able to provide them for us, which seems highly unlikely based on his behavior to this point, I think we lynch him again. And if there is a chance he is Modulok as some of you suggested previously, then we definitely can’t sit around and potentially let him become more powerful.birdwithteeth11 wrote:Or you could spend this time expanding a bit more on why you aren't bad. As far as this current poll goes, I'm not going to drive myself crazy trying to figure it out. I already voted panther steak because it sounds like the best tasting, so hopefully it isn't poisoned or anything.

I know I won't be ariund much longer so I'm just taking my remaining to say that people who know me well in this game and who have read my posts should be aware of tge other possibilities besides me bekng bad. that certain people are stressi g so strongly that I must die will be telling when you see that I'm not bad at all.

Re: [Night 2] Masters of the Universe Mafia
ill say one other thing. ask yourself, what if I'm telling the truth? wont the baddies be so happy that you are all falling into line once again? again, if I'm not bad, and the baddies know that, why are they so anxious to be rid of me?

Re: [Night 2] Masters of the Universe Mafia
I suspect Snow Dog for reasons previously stated. The way certain peolpe are giving him a pass, who happen to also be people pushing hard to get rid of me (socky, say) is interesting to me. I still believe Heman is bad. If he is Dex, he's not the Dex I'm used to seeing as a civ.birdwithteeth11 wrote:If you manage to survive tonight, then would you be willing to discuss people you are suspicious of? The problem with the rest of the game is that everythign recent revolves around me, so anything I say is likely to be seen as a NO U. But that's where I stand atm. Snow Dog, and by extension AnnaDanielle. Heman. MP. Maybe to a lesser extent Roxy, in the sense that she initially pushed against me but has since kind of disappeared.

Re: [Night 2] Masters of the Universe Mafia
Personally, I think seeing what happens when the night ends will hopefully give us more food for thought. What if it ends up like last time, when the lynch happened at the end of the night?
As for the food poll, I personally do not have any information. I would be curious if anyone else has information on it. I looked up the 2 episodes that the animals appeared in and watched enough of each episode to try to make a decision. (They were really hard to sit through too - sorry to major fans, no offense!) I probably over thought it, or thought about the wrong way, but what's new?
This game is designed in a very unique way, and as such requires looking at things from different perspectives than we may be used to.
Personally, I think seeing what happens at the end of night will (hopefully) be illuminating. (See what I did there?
) And my list of options for who Timmer may be is slowly dwindling. Let me also say that a secret on a mafia team/indy role could possibly be something like "cannot be lynched until X player is dead" or something along those lines. I've seen that happen in other games, so I'm just putting it out there as a possibility. Obviously we can't know a secret, but if the secret were something along those lines I would hate to waste day after day trying to lynch someone like that. I'm not saying I think it's likely, but it is something that popped into my head, and it may be worth considering.

You were looking at AnnaDanielle for what again? That weird vote in the shield poll, right before she totally stopped showing up and then dropped out? Now I am not making roll claims here, subtle or otherwise, but we'd do well to remember that there is plenty of civ BTSC out and about in this games. So simply connecting people to each other does NOT make them mafia. (I'm trying to say "mafia" now instead of the silly "baddie" term that was discussed earlier, and I agree that it sounds silly - but I'm not sure I'll be able to keep remembering to say "mafia" instead.)timmer wrote:I suspect Snow Dog for reasons previously stated. Re: [Night 2] Masters of the Universe Mafia
No one seems to have considered the conclusion that I jumped to based on the way Timmer survived: thta he is an indie. I highly doubt a powerful being like Zodac would allow himself to be lynched, and if he were on no one's team it would explain the unanimity of the vote. If that is the case, I think it would be unwise to try to lynch him again tomorrow (although I'm sure I will draw suspicion for saying that.) It would only buy the baddies time.

Re: [Night 2] Masters of the Universe Mafia

Night 2: Not What One Should Call “A Feast”
It was not what one should call a feast: Spider, simian, serpent, and feline had been picked through with dirty hands and suspicious eyes.
Those who had swallowed bits of the Abyss Spider grew pale. It grew difficult to breathe. It was as though some thick substance coated their esophagi and made it swell, shoving their windpipes aside. Their tongues likewise swelled, hanging thickly from their mouths. They tried to scream. Any word that made it from their disconcerted minds suffocated before emerging from their lips. After some time, they gave up trying to speak altogether; it was enough of a chore to gather air into their desperate lungs.
The chimparilla meat seemed decent, but all of the its eaters agreed that they felt vaguely unsettled having eaten it, as though they had violated some unknown rule of nature.
Crawler meat was unpleasantly tough, but it might have been quite appetizing well-seasoned and braised.
Of the wild offerings, the furlong meat proved both the most satisfying and refreshing. A few among them felt so invigorated that they claimed they could deal with any challenge that came their way, much to the chagrin of those who had made other choices.
AceofSpaces was just saying how refreshing the furlong was before he left camp to drink from a nearby stream. In the darkness, he could hear the babbling water eagerly- ignorantly- making its way toward the expansive Ocean of Gnarl. With a smile on his thirsty lips, he got on his hands and knees.
The water did not smell right in this place, but ere he thought to lift his face, three dissimilar hands groped his head. One was like a club that held his left cheek against his teeth. One was humanoid, but slimy, and held his other in place. The third, a sharp triad, dug into the back of his scalp and dragged him into the river.
AceofSpaces took in a bit of water, which stifled his only cry for help. He felt a strange leg wrap around his midsection. He struggled against the motley limbs that held him underwater. In the river, he could not amass enough strength to elbow the ribs of whatever was determined to kill him.
To have gone from being in such good spirits to decaying in a riverbed- fate was a cruel judge, indeed.
But AcesofSpaces slipped one hand free, and with it, he pried the clubby hand from his face and brought it close to his mouth, and in between the teeth that, just moments before had chewed through furlong fat, tore at mutant flesh.
He squeezed his jaws. And just as he felt consciousness begin to abandon him, he heard a shrill cry through the moving water. All of the limbs left him, except for the clubbed hand that remained in his teeth, imparting a flavor unspeakably foul.
Companions dragged him out, having heard the commotion. AcesofSpaces had the limb with him as he was revived.
“That’s an arm from the creature called ‘Modulok,’” some unnamed figure in the sylvan darkness announced.
Meanwhile, and unconcerned with the commotion by the riverside, Roxy decided to indulge in all of the creatures that had been cooked. She felt the opportunity to taste such exotic fare might not pass her way again, and that it would aid her in her mystical studies.
A piece of crawler became lodged in her throat.
The spider-eaters were too concerned with themselves to help, and the others were investigating what was going on at the river. Panicking, she threw her fist upon her midsection. She tried to think of a spell to save her, but her throat, bulging with meat, refused to accommodate any vocal components. She became desperate, but tripped, and fell into one of the fires. She lashed out at herself, beating her stomach and slapping the flames. She rolled about the ground.
Roxy succeeded in stopping the advancement of the fire.
She failed in breathing.

Roxy has been lynched. She was Evil-Lyn.

Re: [Day 3] Masters of the Universe Mafia

Day 3: The Slime Pit
Finding Evil-Lyn terribly burned and deceased among an array of witnesses who could not answer for her death struck bewildered the party, even those who were glad to see the wicked illusionist gone.
The silenced were made to bury her, whether they wished to or not.
Another issue vexed them: In their hunger, they had not kept track of their way, and extreme cloud cover made natural navigation quite difficult. They moved on, nervous to stay in a place where death had tried to strike twice, and succeeded once.
The air grew thick and hot. It weighed in the lungs of everyone, but afflicted the spider-eaters the most, who could not talk a syllable.
Someone commented that they had passed north into the Vine Jungle. Several groaned. They had gone the wrong way, away from King Randor, Castle Grayskull, and hope to relieving themselves of this accused state.
The ground raged and rumbled. The party scattered.
The earth opened.
A skeletal shape rose from the moist, collapsing soil. It had a goat-like head and bony claws.
And it had a deep pit.
Watching from behind covered positions, behind trees and rocky formations, the party saw the emergence of a terrible structure.
“This is the work of Skeletor,” many concluded.
“Or Hordak,” others countered.
The towering, monstrous thing’s eyes gleamed red. “I demand sacrifice,” it rumbled.
There was one missing PM.
It is now Day 3. You have 48 hours to lynch someone.

Well this should be a quiet day. Serves them right for eating spider though. What were they thinking?

BIH Evil-Lyn! Bye Roxy! Also, welcome Stormcrow!
Interesting results. I'm really glad I didn't pick the spider or monkey now to eat. And what's up with that slime pit? That doesn't sound good at all.

Re: [Day 3] Masters of the Universe Mafia
Wow, what a very interesting result. The slime pit seems like it would be nearly as unfavorable as a regular lynch, no? I think we should still throw the person we most believe to be baddie in there then.
BIH Roxy! That is awesome. Not what I expected. Will have to go through Rox's posts and see if there's anything of interest there, once I get the chance.
Welcome Stormcrow! See you later JJ.
I apologize for suspecting you as bad, Timmer, since now it seems you are probably not. That being said, I am very surprised, since your behavior did seem quite incriminating given the circumstances. Despite what you think of me, I'm not a baddie. I assure you, even though it's WIFOM, that there's no way I'd have pushed against you so hard if I was a baddie, and same with He-Man. I have no knowledge as to who is bad this game than any other civvie. This revelation of you surviving and Rox dying and flipping Snake Mountain does change my suspicions again though.
Since it seems you do genuinely agree with me about He-Man, I might have to re-consider some I previously waved off as not Snake Mountain when my theory was that you were.
I'll have to re-examine Snow Dog's posts now. You think he is most worthy of suspicion out of anyone?

Given what has happened now, I think you're probably right on this one, llama. Now the question is.... Is Zodac civvie-oriented or not so much? The other indie seems more civvie-oriented, but even that one could be neutral as well. This means Timmer, while not bad, could still be a problem. I don't think he's close to first priority though, given he appears to have helped us so far and that baddies are still out there.thellama73 wrote:No one seems to have considered the conclusion that I jumped to based on the way Timmer survived: thta he is an indie.
I ended up going with the Ice Mountains as well, lol, only because of my obsession with ice worlds. Did anyone else actually choose anything else?birdwithteeth11 wrote:I think Russ hit it spot on.
Looks like you were right about Roxy. Why Anna, only by extension of Snow Dog being bad, I assume?timmer wrote:I suspect Snow Dog for reasons previously stated.
I'll have to re-examine Snow Dog's posts now. You think he is most worthy of suspicion out of anyone?

Re: [Day 3] Masters of the Universe Mafia
That is a good point. I haven't really given DH a good look, but maybe now I will. I have a few suspicions myself, but I'm not sure I'm ready to go pubic with all of them. One that I will mention is Kate, who has been awfully cuddly with Roxy. I think they were probably Snake Mountain teammates, but it would be preferable to get a Horde member at this point than another SM baddie.MovingPictures07 wrote:You know who's really scaring me? Very good observation on Kate, you're right. Especially since they apparently trusted each other for that shield poll. Agreed on catching The Horde instead of SM though. The problem is that we don't have a member of The Horde lynched yet so there's no one's posts to go off of. I suppose it would be best to vote for someone baddie who doesn't seem tied to SM?

This is going to suck with all of those quiet players. I mean, I'll be busy studying a lot of this day period, but especially after unpredictable result was unpredictable, I feel the more discussion at this point for today's lynch (or sliming... or whatever), the better.

Re: [Day 3] Masters of the Universe Mafia
I'll be honest, with the night result/lynch occurring the way it did, it really makes me think Timmer is not a baddie anymore. And unfortunately, I feel like that's put me back at square one again. So I will have to do some re-reading on some people tomorrow. I do remember Kate seeming to go along with Roxy once or twice, but I can't remember if that was a consistent thing or not. I will be re-reading her and DH tomorrow for sure.thellama73 wrote:That is a good point. I haven't really given DH a good look, but maybe now I will. Is there anyone else that you have been pinged by llama?
Re: [Day 3] Masters of the Universe Mafia
I just did a readback through Roxy's posts. While she sort of defends a few people here and there, it was all done very carefully, so I can't see much in the way of connections with people. She voted for Kate for something during the night, was that the shield thing? That's about all I saw.
As for Snow Dog, I'd like people (who can talk) to reread his night posts with AnnaDanielle and tell me what you think. To me, it sounds like nubs trying to set something up. And there are plenty more baddies with btsc than civvies. More opinions are needed, though, I'm far from sure about it.

Damn. Though I wouldn't expect anything else from Roxy, especially so early on. Yeah, it was the shield thing, that is kind of weird now in retrospect.timmer wrote:I just did a readback through Roxy's posts. Will do. I read it one way at the time, but I did discount your theory partially because I read it through as you saying it as a baddie. Does this mean you think indiglo and Snow Dog might have BTSC?
