ok so I skimmed Tim's ISO and his last few posts were saying to exe tutuu and Syn and when Dizzy asked how many bargainees I had (trying to figure out how close I was to winning) he dismissed it as helping the wolves by turning the thread's attention to irrelevant setup spec that was never going to go anywhere

so probably not great to be flaming the town for losing here

Early in my mafia carrier, I recall winning as SK in a 30 player game by claiming survivor D1 and holstering the whole game lol.

It's surprising how often this works.

I think this game can serve as a cautionary tale about the old "I'm harmless 3p - JK!" play. It seems to work out a bit too often. =p

We were all cleared. We could have cleared each other on play, like we did in the end. In the last hour, I had walked enough circle to say confidently everyone was town.

But I think what tricked me the most to leave even the smallest room for doubt was five mafia and a wandering night kill, cause that is at least a mildly wild leap. Although, I did make it.

Anyway. Fun game, but frustrating. Like mafia games should be. Loved playing with you, JPIC, I feel we definitely look at things the same way a lot and I lurve that! <3

im not bothered by tim having wrong reads since multiple members of the town had wrong reads and made wrong decisions and i think us losing the game was a collective effort on all of our parts

it did bother me the way he tried to guilt trip me and (presumably others) for losing at the end when he was literally no better than us, and like his posts are right there in the thread and i remember them, like ... lol

Yes, I have no issues with people being wrong, it happens. Nobody has perfect reads.

It happens.

No town is really "better" or "worse" than others at the end of the game. We win/lose as a collective unity. That's just how the game works.

Even measuring who is a "good" or "bad" at mafia doesn't make sense. At least I'm not smart enough to understand all the human variables that goes into this, and even if I was, every game is a new context that change the variables. =p

The most consistent variable I've found is effort.

I guess that is why I love mafia!

But this will be my last for a while! I'll try to join some video mafia instead!

I had fun this game, especially when I got more into it.
I've recently gotten a new job which takes a lot out of me (but that I love), and mafia is too much of a time commitment to me, cause I get so into games and can't stop myself lol. I was too busy to play this one too, but couldn't resist, since it was such a big party game! Glad I signed up, and you'll probably see me soon, cause I always say I'll go on a break and then I come back like two weeks later =p
