Re: Magic the Gathering Mafia - Day 2
I would yeet JPIC. My memory of him today is throwing random shade in my direction.

Re: Magic the Gathering Mafia - Day 2
I don’t have a super strong Falcon read. It’s just a hunch. He doesn’t feel like he’s really trying to determine alignment. He’s just mad that players aren’t doing enough and voting for some of them. He had a badish push on...Epi? Maybe?hollowkatt wrote: ↑Fri Mar 12, 2021 3:45 pmSell me on wolf Falcon if you can? I kinda think he's town so getting your perspective not only helps me on him, but also helps me sort you.Jackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 12, 2021 3:40 pm People with no votes (not counting mine) that I don’t have a reason to townread: Wilgy, Dunya (arguable), Enrique, Falcon
People with votes that I do have a reason to townread: Marmot, Epi, Urist, JPic (arguable), Mac (arguable)
People with votes I don’t have a reason to townread: Ted
I’m sure I left somebody out but I loathe the current wagon formation.
Like the frustration could be real. I just didn’t get the idea he was trying to read me. Maybe his vote on me was trying to get me to react so he could. Idk.

Just noticed it. I tend to start reading at point B and stay caught up until point C. Then I will be away until point D. At that point, I will simultaneously start reading at point D and C, trying to keep up and ketchup at the same time. Occasionally (especially early in the game), I will close a window (usually on purpose) and simply lose the posts between C and D.
You can kinda see these two parallel time streams in my isos if you really look for them so just FYI, that’s why it may feel like I’m picking random ass posts out from 10 pages back.
Anyway, why?
I do this too tbh. It's a pain in active games and I just give up on the point C catchup.
What did you just notice? I'm confused at what you're responding to.
Also, why what?
In hindsight, I think you were talking to Dunya about this post not to me about my post about this post.Marmot wrote: ↑Fri Mar 12, 2021 3:41 pmdunya wrote: ↑Fri Mar 12, 2021 1:16 pm hmm, i saw pyre ted yesterday, i tred him in that game and defended him against the thread and he sussed me so i'm gonna be wary of letting him think i townread him now lol.

I dunno what you want from me. I think his play D1 with regards to mana generation is wolfy, and I think it's weird how he's not trying to solve all that hard today while being on the hot seat when he said he'd do good work if he lived through D1. He hasn't been exactly slanking, but like when I'm town and on the hot seat like that I tend to go into overdrive and just churn out posts, reads, and pushes and really get down in the trenches with the people I wolf read.
Instead Ted is just kinda "here" and I have to wonder if that's b/c he's trying to avoid spew.
I know not everyone plays like me, but more often than not, in my experience, townies under pressure "do work" and wolves under pressure "do not-work".

HxH is about a lot of things but on the surface, it is about two best friends, (the boys in the gif i just posted), Gon and Killua, on several adventures.
The pair have lots of friends but one of their two best is Leorio, a largely incompetent but hilarious guy who wants to be a doctor via super powered ninja training.

Basically, I’m saying you’re in the towncore too.
Re: Magic the Gathering Mafia - Day 2
This is going to sound like a trick question but please try to follow. Would somebody here like to (volunteer to) have more mana without receiving any mana (and thus risking PtF)? Please make a line and I will review your cases individually. ty.

Re: Magic the Gathering Mafia - Day 2
My perception of today's gamestate is that town players are starting to find each other and establish a towncore. I could be wrong, but a number of players that I townread yesterday still hold that status in my mind today, and not only that, they're seeing it in each other. Epi/Guillo. Jack/HK. Myself/Jack. Dunya/Wilgy.
I'll admit I could be very wrong about any number of them, but I don't think today's the day that happens.
If that is what's happening, that would mean my perception that the outliers sewing discord among those players are the mafia. JPIC and falcon are two players who imo are doing that today.

Maybe. In total, I had 1 less mana yesterday than I needed to use my better power. So it would be out to use. That said, there’s a fair chance I got pity the fooled by the wolves yesterday because I asked for more mana so if you give it to me and the same gift and fool pittying happens again, I may be on my way to dying.
Legit, probably best to just give it to someone you townread and not have anyone volunteer power info.
(Though fool pitying isn’t that strong)

Okay. You’re in consideration right now, I can remove you from my list if you want me to. If you’re on the list though you should ask the thread NOT to give you any mana to avoid PtF risk (idk whether the mafia would risk it / think i’m bluffing but best stay clear).Jackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 12, 2021 4:16 pm [VOTE: Ted] aubergine

Yeah. Why do you think Marmot is town? I'm sus of him this RD, based off his criticism of 112 for voting the same wagon that 112's scum reads (Marmot & Epi) were voting.Jackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 12, 2021 3:56 pm @falcon45ca

Thing is, both Marmot & Epi were ALSO voting the same wagon as one of their scum reads....me. I've quoted Marmot recently pointing out this hypocrisy...crickets.
Marmot also declined to give a read on my ISO despite being asked several times last RD, and only did so much later when my wagon got some traction.

so i'm a wolf because i am not playing like you would as a town in this situationhollowkatt wrote: ↑Fri Mar 12, 2021 3:44 pm I dunno what you want from me.

Sewing discord for scumreading you? ok palMarmot wrote: ↑Fri Mar 12, 2021 4:14 pm My perception of today's gamestate is that town players are starting to find each other and establish a towncore.

What discord am I sewing amongst the players today?
I'm confident in the POE that I've established, and until it's proved inaccurate, I don't feel the need reconsider my strong townreads.
But to answer your question, it's posts like this. Instead of asking me to clarify or something like that, you're saying that I'm hedging and imo framing my post in a negative light and discrediting me.

What can we do to not irritate you?
How much do you plan on catching up?
I don't know at this point. If I live a little while I'll get around to it.
I don't super need to catch up to be positively contributing tho.
I just outed myself as town KP so I will catch a NK tonight probably.

Marmot, were you pretty sure of your PoE when you voted for Made and he got lynched? That was proven inaccurate, so where does this confidence come from?

Okay. Sounds good.Enrique wrote: ↑Fri Mar 12, 2021 4:24 pmOkay.
@Enrique
You wouldn’t be able to use this mana tonight.

The confidence comes from my townreads finding moments in the thread where they're townreading each other.falcon45ca wrote: ↑Fri Mar 12, 2021 4:50 pm Marmot, were you pretty sure of your PoE when you voted for Made and he got lynched? There’s no guarantee that I’ll choose you, and if you’re on my list you’re agreeing that no one else send you mana to avoid a PtF. Is that alright?
