Yes. 100%. Sorry for not seeing the obvious way a townie could send 6 mana since it’s literally the same way a wolf could.Epignosis wrote: ↑Sat Mar 13, 2021 7:48 pmDo you really think a mafia member can send six mana to another person?Long Con wrote: ↑Sat Mar 13, 2021 7:46 pmThat doesn't make sense. Why should we have assumed that it was connected to your alignment?

I’m saying a 3rd or forth vote on a confirmed townie is dumb. The goal is to have exactly 1 player with 0 votes. We should never need anyone to have more than 2 votes and only one player should have more than 1 vote.Justplayingitcool wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 1:11 pmMy vote was from this phase

Btw, and this is aimed at everyone, scummy players need to be voting for scummy players and town consensus players need to be voting for town consensus players.
Most players will only have 1 vote on them. Suppose JPIC is the only vote for me and about to get yeeted. If he’s a wolf, he’ll switch his vote to coin flip with a consensus townread.
Ergo, wolfiest players need to be voting for the poe or the extra vote (as JPic currently is, being the second Epi vote) in order to limit the damage they can do with a switch.
I’m 90% sure today will be a townie yeet and 70% sure a wolf self outs to make it so.

If you’re town, you’ll see it’s reasonable to not have poe players voting for the towncore.
If you’re town and you trust a player, you should want to protect them. You should want a steady handed townie voting for them.
If you’re town and you could get yeeted, you should want the ability to self preserve by removing your vote from another player in the poe instead of being forced to self preserve against a consensus townread or just die.

Re: Magic the Gathering Mafia - Day 3
Literally the only player that disagrees with this strategy is a wolf that wants to try and yeet a consensus townie.
Even if you disagree with me on who the towncore is, you wouldn’t want to vote for a consensus townie you don’t townread anyhow.
And if you disagree so strongly that you think we should yeet say, Mac, then fucking make a case for that instead of bitching about how I don’t townread you.

Re: Magic the Gathering Mafia - Day 3
Town core (Epi, Urist, Mac, Jack, HK) should vote for each other in a round.
Poe should vote for each other.
Towncore may accept other players into the towncore (or rather, the “never yeet today” list) by adjusting formation. Ie moving from A->B->C->A to A->B->C->D->A.
Any poe player who insists on voting in the towncore gains heavy suspicion for ensuring a 0-0 tie for two players prior to any self preserving action. Any player who ensures a 1-1-1-1etc tie with all players is considered an outted wolf.
Poe can further be bullied into yeeting who we want.
Again, today is incredibly likely to be a town yeet. We should do everything we can to ensure it is either in the poe or 100% outting for a wolf player.

I’m just not sure if we’re in different tiers of townness...? Who am I allowed to vote for then? I feel fine where I am.

Re: Magic the Gathering Mafia - Day 3
can you just include me in your towncore bro it’s actually a good list. there’s no 0-0 tie given i’m already on you and hk is on me.

Re: Magic the Gathering Mafia - Day 3
The only way this is ever a mafia yeet is if the player with 0 votes is voting for a wolf.
If the player with 0 votes is a townie, they will at best tie with whoever they are currently voting for if they self preserve. Even if that player is a wolf, wolves will tie break into the townie with 0 votes.
If the player with 0 votes is a wolf and they are the only player voting for a townie, they will remove their vote, forcing a tie with a townie and tiebreak will yeet a townie.
If the player with 0 votes is a wolf and they are the extra vote, they will cause a 1 vote across the board tie, resulting in the town yeet of whoever they fucking feel like.
The only way this setup ever yeets a wolf is if we set it up so that the player with 0 votes is also voting for a wolf so that the only player they can self preserve onto is a wolf.
This voting setup is INCREDIBLY wolfsided.

My plan potentially yeets a wolf and red peeks a second wolf. Any other plan literally always yeets a townie.
So look for poe players that reject my plan, feigning generic stubbornness.

Re: Magic the Gathering Mafia - Day 3
Dunya's currently placed vote counts as TSP's currently placed vote. If TSP votes for anyone else then Dunya's vote will no longer counts. If he does not place a vote then it will count as if he is voting Long Con.

I think the current configuration of votes is fine.Jackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 1:42 pm Town core (Epi, Urist, Mac, Jack, HK) should vote for each other in a round.

Anyone with 0 votes at EoD are placed in the elimination pool. Mafia will decide which of those players is eliminated.TonyStarkPrime wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 2:08 pm Why is the vote distribution like this isn’t eod soon
@Jackofhearts2005 I think you need to chill, having the two loose ends be Wilgy & jpic is fine.

Also I'm never voting to save hk here LOL like what.
Enrique, you really think that Wilgy is more worthy of a save than Jack?

Enrique got me feeling pretty good about him during our exchange last night. Good enough to be voting there anyways.Jackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 1:49 pmWhy should you be in the towncore?
Does anyone in the towncore townread you?
You’re not a top suspect for me but I don’t have a townread on you either.

it's reverse voting today. We're voting for someone we don't want to eliminate.TonyStarkPrime wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 2:08 pm Why is the vote distribution like this isn’t eod soon

Re: Magic the Gathering Mafia - Day 3
I get where Urist is coming from fine. It’s the same discussion we were having last night (except now we’re on opposite sides lol). Jack’s thing is the closest we had to a solution but it’s still flawed (what does the mafia care if we just leave a townie out to die?).
