my vote would probably land on aL_sama, marmot, or ted right now. i honestly don't have a single name that i can point to as definitely being scum right now though - i moreso have the game divided between "probably town" and "probably not town"

my number one takeaway from this game so far is that i don't understand what "salad" means :P

"I would vote A, B, or C" is close to the prototype for the player salad tell. It's suggestive of keeping one's options wide open when not comfortable committing to suspicions. What's holding you back from placing one of those votes right now?

that makes sense - i would say that i am thinking in salad terms right now because of the particular gamestate we're in

i'm not at a point where i can confidently point to one player and say "this person is a wolf", but i am at a point where i can point to a pool of people and say "this pool probably has wolves", and vice versa for town. the more specific wolfreads tend to come later in the game when i've had more time to interrogate people and feel things out

there's nothing particularly holding me back from making a vote right now, either. i just don't feel particularly inspired to do it at the moment. it'll happen

Nothing that tutuu seemed "pumped up" and treating as something important (without a clear stance taken) is just a little hard to believe. Your town read on Oddmerta seems kinda default, like it was a read you decided to have more than one you developed. You should definitely talk more about your reads though; it would be helpful.

All completely legitimate concerns. Hopefully this'll clear it up:

1. I used the @ Mention function mainly to highlight people for easy legibility in a wall of text, and to draw their attention to it in case they wanted to add anything, refute something I said, or whatever. Maybe I'm abusing that function.

2. My null/black isn't uniformly null/black. It's in rough order as well. E.g., JPIC is near the bottom of it because while I haven't seen anything to make his name redder, I haven't much liked what I've seen. (I'm gonna ISO him soon since he's been another center of conversation.)

3. My notes section was just that: notes. And I wrote them as I caught up on 16+ pages of the thread. They don't necessarily mean I'm reading someone one way or another; they're just things I thought stuck out.

i had mentally sorted strawhenge and fingersplints into the same tier of: "back after a long absence with towny openings". as my townread on strawhenge grew more confident with time, i decided that i wanted to re-evaluate my feelings about fingersplints as well

i took a peek at fingersplints ISO and got pinged by this post: https://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewt ... 29#p760229 . it felt to me like fingersplints was trying to "establish" his position in the game without actually believing in the stuff that he was saying. i was turned off by him outing a bunch of consensus townreads with the reasoning of: "this person feels genuine". i also felt that he had some strong reasoning on https://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewt ... 63#p760363 that he immediately invalidated by going out of his way to emphasize that he didn't have any ~actual~ read on long con

those two posts were enough for me to park my vote on him overnight and see how the thread played around it. i'm not sure about him being a wolf, but i do have some concerns about him. i am relatively lukewarm about his most recent posting

Thanks for the list, splints. I isolated a few names that I'd be interested to hear more about when you have the chance.

Esooa and BoKnows are both my gut feelings based on how they played in Bee Mafia. Admittedly this is a limited comparison, so always could change. Especially since Bo deceived us all that game. I’m naturally a bit wary of any trust there now

JPIC - for now I just feel is asking genuine and insightful questions.

MacDougall - I recall a lot of people saying this is their town game, but I can’t recall why or any posts that strike me as particularly townie. Having said that, I don’t recall any that stood out as scummy either, so that ones more on the neutral side.
