It feels like we have a pretty good read on the Kansas City Mafia. I'll be very surprised if it turns out none of our shortlisted POE players are on that team.

But that presumably leaves another mafia faction that we've left mostly untouched to this point. Do you have any candidates for that team? And how could we go about finding them before it's too late? I do not want to abandon the KC hunt, but I don't want to backburner [Other Team] at the same time.

good question. it’s tough because now that we lunched marmot the other team can look villagery by hunting his teammates. so it may be hard to separate the real villagers from wolves on the other team until we either kill all of Team Marmot or stumble upon someone from the other team in the process

i don’t have a good idea of who exactly would be on the other team honestly. i want to say the following people are simply villagers:

spf
alison
sloonei
boknows

but that leaves a lot of people out and i’m not sure how to narrow it down more. let me see

- al_sama and dom are easy picks for the other team but maybe not super inspiring

- i currently lack a real reason to v read kza besides him not being with marmot but i also haven’t looked at him closely and don’t know him, so that might be a me problem

- i kind of agree that lc is fine enough lately but i don’t know how confident i am in that

- i think tony could easily be a wolf on the other team, but that might be more because i don’t think he’s done anything he can’t do as a wolf more than real suspicion

- jpic, splints and michelle exist in a weird bleh zone where i really would not be surprised to see them flip wolf but also would be entirely unsurprised if they’re villagers

- i don’t know why odd is a villager now that he isn’t cleared via alison

that’s.... a lot of people that i lack good reasons to v read and it’s kind of concerning. but sorting all of them right now seems daunting. i don’t think we necessarily Need to have everyone sorted right now though, and i simply haven’t read enough of this game to attempt to do that anyway

Both of those are the aforementioned players I haven't had the bandwidth to give full reads to yet. falcon is so high because of his D0/D1 behavior, and I haven't happened upon anything to sway me. Esooa is higher than earlier in the game on my list, but ditto on needing to do deeper reads.

A single player is on both mafia teams, Marmot suggested it, a flavour character fits the profile, it would indeed help mafia from gooning each other. It makes sense in a multiball for such a role to exist

I feel like I am missing something with falcon. I read him as town as well, but he has been a unanimously unquestioned town read for just about everyone, and I can’t see where the strength of that read is coming from.

I think I generally agree with this summary. I like the work we have done to uncover the KC Mafia and am confident in our results so far, but once we get beyond that there are a handful of players who are all in a murky middle zone as potential Other Team candidates, and I have no firm reason to suspect any one of them over the other.

I guess it would be prudent to ask all of them to share reads on one another and just generally shone their town lights.

Not energized/focused enough to do a full length post right now, but I'm not feeling a strong Marmot/fingersplints connection either. She does not have many direct mentions of him, but she talks at length with TSP about how Marmot is perceived in the thread. I feel like a fingersplints that is partnered with Marmot is not going to be so comfortable talking adjacent to Marmot without directly talking about him at some point, if that makes sense. She never hesitates to engage in conversations about the optics surrounding Marmot, but she also never seems to give consideration to how she thinks Marmot looks, or how it will look to the rest of us that is talking about Marmot in this way.
