Alright, here goes nothing. If I get daykilled I apologize for being a dumbass.

I am Captain Jeb Cheney. I have two day actions. One is to give two players access to a private chat for the night. Sort of like a temporary neighborizer. I can neighborize myself. The other is a little complicated. There are four trooper roles in the game, I know their flavor (role name) and abilities which I feel no need to disclose at this point. Trooper Milch is one of them which is how I cleared Oddmerta. Technically it isn't stated that they're confirmed town but it is heavily implied that they are and in terms of flavor I think it doesn't make sense for them to be evil. Anyway, as a day action I can order one trooper to do something with their night action. Basically I control their night action. They can choose to accept or refuse my order. If they accept, they do the night action the way I ordered them to. If they refuse, I get to strip them of their abilities and gift those abilities to someone else.

I checked their ability list. Two troopers have an ability which would be absurd to give to a mafia member in a normal game. Even in multiball it would still be violating "expectations" of what kind of roles go to what kind of alignments. One is slightly townie but I could easily see going to mafia especially in multiball. The last is the scummiest and could easily be mafia. But that is Milch's ability and Oddmerta is townie af.

Yeah, common reads is one thing, but literally 5 straight consensus POE? If she'd posted it in a vacuum, that would be one thing, but it's the list she gave after I asked her for one.


Of course this by no means condemns her, but it certainly doesn't make me feel better about her slot

That is debatable. I believe that it's more likely that all troopers are town, but the presence of anti-claim mechanics (which are hinted at in the OP) are enough to balance the game, should a massclaim of troopers occur.

A night did happen where Oddmerta didn't get claim-killed, but that could be due to some cost - maybe either Mac or JJJ wouldn't have been killed if the anti-claim mechanic was chosen. Both those kills were objectively more valuable, at the time, than an Oddmerta kill.

I thought that first page stood out more for the self-proclaimed OMGUS on a couple of players to form KZA's early scum reads. I didn't really get the "mediating reads" thing so much, at least not in a way that pinged me.
