Being uncomfortable with strong early reads is either scum nervous about how quick town are launching into solving or a site culture issue where they come from a community whose site meta is to dick around D1. However Scotty has experience with MacDougall and doesn't seem to be a first-time Syndicator so I am doubting the latter explanation.

I have a confirmable PR that is unambiguously town-sided.

This seems unlikely from Sloonei's opening material posts, but no one is likely to be in a hurry to kill you, so sure...demonstrate.

One of us is misunderstanding the setup I think.

My reading is that each character accesses different powers from different shrines. So as an example. Altmer Noble may be able to access shrines A, B, C, D and E. Argonian Mage may be able to access shrines C, D, E, F and G. Both can access shrine C but they get different powers from accessing shrine C based on the flavor of C as well as their own character's flavor.

One of the powers I can access from a shrine is confirmable and I think pretty pro-town.

My question still remains if, say for example, the Nords are wont to not worshipping daedra while those cat things worship Rum Tug Tugger

In Elder Scrolls lore I think Daedra worship is universal and sort of universally frowned on officially. There's a "state religion" and the Daedra worshipers are sort of like the tolerated pagans that haven't been successfully brought around. Daedra shrines aren't found in the best part of town, but they aren't exactly hidden. As far as I know there is no racial preferences towards any particular individual Daedra.

Because the last time I saw him meme day one like this a really silly number of people just townread him for it and yes he then had no reason to do anything else and just stayed with it. On the other hand, in a game where people responded with, "oh, yeah, screw that you can just die" he straightened right up, played and played well, and we won as town.

So I am very much in favor of just telling him "play or die" and letting the results result.

But I am not gonna hard press that issue. If someone seems actively wolfy then that's a better chop.

I really don't believe that Scotty genuinely thinks that me saying I want to form a town circle with Mac and Tim is going to lead to us throwing the endgame because we held onto that one post from page 1 throughout the entire game.

Fargo was not thrown because people blindly sheeped a read they had page 1, it was thrown because it was widely agreed that there had to be one scum in the troopers and Strawhenge was not a trooper. Furthermore there was plausible deniability as to Strawhenge being a miller since we knew investigation modifier abilities existed in the setup and he was one of the few people who wouldn't claim it immediately.

None of this excuses the throw of course but the point is that it was not a game where locking people town page 1 screwed us over, it was a game where mech bullshit screwed us over.
