Gurl mind meld. Was just thinking if it was too early to just give Tony a town read right for the entrance, but that's what I felt. I also think I'm about ok at reading Tony in general.

His play this game seems much more orthodox and I believe this is a symptom of him trying to mimic "normal" townies.

Marmot can answer for himself, but in my mind, just doing things cause is definitely well within marmot's play style (same for me), so jumping on a vote at start of day cause why not is expected and also without much deep meaning. It would probably happen more often than not.Invictius wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 1:39 amthis still doesn't make much sense to me because there's no reasoning attached to my vote so he's not really sheeping anything at all so to look into at all doesn't make sense.
UNLESS IT'S A REACTION TEST.
those are fun
is it a reaction test? does me asking about it ruin it?
We should also talk about how Alison is scum.

I wasn't in that game.
Me and Invictus (who I may call Plat unless people yell at me for it) have played a lot. I think I've been town in almost all the games we've played together, and so has Plat (except one). On PerC I've randed mafia three times in a row now, but Plat only played D1 in one of them.
Plat can probably read me better than most people, possibly by a good margin.

I agree, roughly. Gavial to me was like "kinda weird but ok, don't know him". Alison try hard what are you doing really huh ok um ok.staypositivefriend wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 1:54 amalison having strong conclusions early is pretty typical for her as either alignment. i got pinged by her read initially because it had a train of thought that didn't seem totally fluid to me (ie: describing gavial's reads as "conventional" when his play up until that point had been anything but conventional), but i think it's fine in the context of alison having highly specific meta about gavial's playstyle, and in the context of her trying to provide content to a game that was almost entirely dead
And also, game hasn't developed much so far. I guess the good thing I can say about Alison is impatience.

Would I be good at that as any alignment in your opinion?
Invi's vote on me is a vote of love, nothing to read into either direction imo. But he could very well be town for other reasons. He's a very good player though. Proceed with caution.

Re: Bluey: The Werewolf Game - Game Thread (Day 1)
SPF is probably town. I like her town reads, I like all her thoughts, I like that she doesn't try to be flashy or project town too much. Good content without shoving it in our faceses.
Had a feeling Tony was town for his first post. Just seemed like something he said because he felt it necessary (from a town perspective), not because he felt he needed to say something (in which case maybe he would've felt the need to say more too). Maybe this is thin, but that's what I got.
I'm pretty ok with Invictus so far. But it's not like I feel I should trust him immediately, which I already have expressed.
---
Don't know about anybody else. Alison, I don't really see where she is coming from with her Gavial read. I also felt she could've waited in any case. I don't have a read on Alison, don't quite remember how I've felt in other games with her.

When I say Gavial plays in a strange way I mean he randomly picks someone to be scum, gives really weird reasons if he gives reasons at all, and then preflips the entire mafia team based off associations with them.
It's hard to explain unless you've seen him in full bloom for yourself but basically his town meta involves making people want to policy him.

Nah I do what I want.
But to be real, Hollow hasn't said or done anything that makes me think they are any particular alignment. It's a shrug from me. Your read on Hollow is not mine, and I'm not convinced by the reasoning of it, which is also a subjective thing. But if Hollow is town (or not), I think I should be able to figure it out.

Not very helpful, but sure.
I do agree that Alison's points against you are weak though.
Don't agree on your Hollow read or even see why it's a strong read to you, but also, that's fine, you have your reads and I'll get to mine.
Don't really have a read on you, but I don't know you at all.

Alison-Gavial teammates. Alison comes out strong against Gavial, sets the metric for what is town Gavial, then eases in the idea that he's back to his town self. The stage is set with some good distancing, then the play becomes about Gavial's redemption.

i get the principle in theory, but im not really sure mafia actively tries making that happen or the action itself is scummy as much as it just happens naturally where someone builds up early and people struggle getting off and mafia can then also just stay on.Dyslexicon wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 5:26 amSo in that scenario I would always be town?hollowkatt wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 12:38 amrandom naked vote on someone who hasn't posted, sheeped by someone else.

This is super flawed thinking anyhow in so many ways. I don't think it's very meaningful in itself for any of the people involved.

Assuming you're town, that's for you to figure out. I've had plenty of scum mind meld with me as town, and done it with other town as scum. Especially if we just have the same play style in general. Depends on what the mind melds entails, how long it lasts etc. For me. Again, this is not my read, this is your reads. Don't expect me to stand in your shoes, cause from what I've seen, I'm quite far removed.
I'll invite you into mine if you're interested.
