Let's sort our POE needs right away, as much as we can:

24 players. One mafia team. 3Ps possible -- I'll guess one as a baseline. Most likely arrangement if so (give or take some for extra 3Ps or if power role strength is considerable):

18:5:1

With no extra kills that leaves 6 mischops available, and with 5 mafia that means a POE of 11 is needed (so 13 town, 12 not named YOU). Make it a POE of 12 to be safer if you like. Basically our immediate goal should be to cut this roster in half with gorgeous town dates or to come as close as possible. This can be done, so let's do it.

hello nice to meet you! im excited to hang with so many new people and also see some old friends that I haven't chilled with in a while, and im nervous bc im not very good at mafia and I am very susceptible to being pocketed so I feel like I gotta watch my back and have a nice healthy dose of paranoia at all times

It’s the opening posts. Frankly, I haven’t read past the first page aside from what I’m seeing quoted here at the end of this page Do you think Tang’s posts are reading scummy? Is it that you’re disagreeing with me that makes you suspect my thoughts on this? If so, I’d love to hear more about that.

For me, opening posts can be really telling. Someone is either an eager scum trying too hard to appear towny right off the bat or they are town eager to get the game started. In that consideration, Tang’s posts gave me vibes of the latter.
