Hello, I'm Tangy and this is my first mafia game.

Hi Tangy. This may be one of my final mafia games I play. I have been considering retirement. Not, to rain on the date though, I just feel as though I can't mod how I want to mod anymore, which is my main appeal to the game in the recent years.

This comment serves no real purpose, but I just wanna say that "catching up" on this game was a breeze compared to what I expected when I saw 11 pages. Lots of short posts and easy-to-follow, direct conversation. So, I guess, if you find yourself on this page right now and think you can't get caught up on things, it's not nearly as bad as it might seem. And this is coming from the strongest advocate against catching up.

For sure... Long Con won't last very long though, because at least the Syndicate folks know me. I'm a slow starter. I don't generally get involved with all this POE/towncore creation on Day 1 that is all the rage. I just don't see it. I don't start suspecting people until... I do. I dunno.

Here's a secret. Before I came to the Syndicate I didn't use words like POE and towncore. I had a list of suspicious people, I laid them out in thread, and told them to exe through everyone in that list until they were all dead and when that happened town would win the game.

When I came to the Syndicate I didn't modify my style at all. I just did the same thing, except I called that list my POE. And then I listed down my strongest, most confident townreads, and I called it my towncore. And then people listened to me a lot more, despite me not changing anything about the way I solve at all.

That's valid, it can be good to take a break whether it ends up being however long. I certainly feel pretty refreshed from being off and on since my Champs run and my somewhat brief COVID return.

Do you have any loose impressions of the Percys that have posted?

Act and Guillotine (who I don't think I actually know) are looking townie to me.
Kito is in standard slank mode which is fine and meh.
Hawk didn't give much when she was here so wait and see.
Gnome is Gnome, my default is to not read/sheep others on her until there is evidence of something or I'll end up tunneling nothing.

I expect Belzy, Owner and Seanzie at the least to post enough to give reads and am sad they're not here yet.

It's a joke, hahaha, because nutella and I have historically tended to suspect each other on Day 1. I actually feel okay about her right now although I'm questioning it a bit. I actually feel like I don't have any strong town reads yet. I'll see what I can work out after sleeping on it.

Just a FYI.

I have a memory condition. I'm not sensitive about it in the least, it's just a factual thing: Severely Deficient Autobiographical Memory (SDAM). I can hardly tell you about my previous games let alone someone else's so while I know most of the Percy players, I do not rely on meta as a core way to read anyone, that just gives a background on some base expectations.

So my favourite trip? Don't remember.

Ah, but, you see, that was already your style. I can't really play that way unless I'm being false. For the first day, at least, I mostly see things people say as possibly coming from either alignment. I don't see the benefit to the game of me trying some random stabs in the dark about calling people out as scum, especially when historically it has been more likely to bite me in the ass when I'm wrong.

That's very cool of you guys, you are good friends. The irony is that I think I tend to get more involved when I'm suspected. But I still don't want to be suspected, and get nice brain chemicals when people say they Town read me.

How about, just don't suspect me for playing my usual way, I'm a slow, considered starter and I won't throw out town or wolf reads that I don't believe in, just to satisfy other players.
