I think I can only suspect Allcrab if we already flipped a mafia. In that case then MAYBE they're less towny than LoMo.

If we haven't flipped a mafia, then it isn't him.

IIRC he's confirmed investigative due the casual lovers thing + confirming LoMo on d2 (or at least has an investigative ability). It would be quite unlikely for him to have healed Garden Gnome, presuming Garden didn't protect herself. Also presumes poisoner had no limitations.

Mafia watchers are a thing.

Martin's point is that Allcrab is confirmed watcher. So if he's mafia he has to be mafia watcher.

Therefore he can only be mafia with Gnome since otherwise the mafia poison healer is unaccounted for. So Gnome should be resolved first before even thinking of flipping Allcrab

I have a list of mistakes I made (and a list of excuses) but this mostly came down to the town towning too hard. The people I needed to get chopped by the end were out towning me and I was standing in the shower humouring taking Alison and Jay to f3 and it was about then that I realised I should just concede.

I have felt like I was unlikely to win here for many days but I felt obligated to play it out as long as I had outs. I also wanted to see this particular town get an opportunity to flex their muscles. It was good viewing.

I didn't anticipate the poisoner dying. So swapping a poisoner death for a town chop (and adding sus to Jay and Martin) felt like one of my only outs at the time.

Seanzie and LC were extremely valuable for the town here. LC landing the save on Sloonei n1 was so deflating after losing Nutella.

Dana clutch bodyguard saving Seanzie was also fucking disgusting.

I didn't need the poisoner to live much longer. Just a couple of days. I never actually knew who it was.

Yeah Seanzie had a good read on you and I was wrong about being harsh on him for it. I felt if you were scum you were bussing so hard you would get boxed in by endgame and so we should pluck the LHF first which was why I shielded you for a bit. He had a good nose for you and just went for you straightaway without dragging it out to endgame though.

Absolutely. Mafia's greatest weapon is always that there will be a reasonable chance of town mucking it up for themselves.

I didn't even actually mean to bus. I was just distancing and then the town were like lol ok. I didn't expect her to go over much less three wolves get wagoned. Sonny and I suffered a fair bit from having a 5.30am eod. None more so than on day 1.

I got to the point where I was like... ok I can survive today through Garden Gnome... but my only viable out tomorrow is now Martin. Then Martin is just here towning it up to fuck while you're just pensively waiting for your POE trap to play out. And even if I was able to get Martin over then what? I'm dead anyway by then. All the while having to dodge Allcrab so I can't even make optimal kills.

My proudest read this game is actually that I managed to get there on Martin who had about a million reasons for people to scumread him and keep him out of the POE through nothing but sheer insistence. I had a couple of moments where I felt nervous about being played but I'm glad I held faith in that read and denied scum from being able to use him as a misexe.

But this wasn't a romantic affair. No. This was for all the marbles. This was for all the fruits, all the pomegranates and the oranges, all the mandarins. Citrus was a favorite here. Who was going to break the link first?

" " MacDougall pondered.

"Excuse me." a voice in his ear whispered.

MacDougall looked up, startled. He'd thought he'd gotten a table with zero interference. Garden Gnome seemed not to care.

"That's my seat." she went on. "I believe that's my date you're sitting across from."

MacDougall turned back to JJJ, who slowly nodded his head.

The server wandered over with a couple glasses of water. "What do we have going on here?" Alison said. "This table is only for two, one of you will have to leave."

MacDougall jumped to his seat, furious. This wasn't how it was supposed to end, the night was still young and so was he!! He threw JJJ another frustrated look through the low burning candles, "This won't be the last you'll see of me." he stated. This wouldn't. MacDougall slowly turned to walk away. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Lost Monkey and Allcrab watching from afar, enjoying what looked like a tasty lemony lobster. MacDougall walked towards the exit, past Dr. Martin who was muttering about losing his job to some rogue physician. MacDougall knew what he was talking about, but didn't stop to explain.

MacDougall walked outside, and peered up at the sky. A couple stars winked back through the slighly overcast canopy of clouds.

"Which vehicle's yours?" asked the valet person. "Hi, I'm Esooa, I'm new here, but I hear the food's good."

MacDougall ignored her and walked away. It was a long walk home, but he needed the time to think. His date was cancelled tonight, much to his chagrin, but someday, hopefully not too far off, he'd get another date.


The game is over. MacDougall, the final Mafia, has conceded. Town wins!!!

These crossover events are the absolute highlights of the Syndicate community for me, and I know what it's like to run one of them. This game was wonderfully conceived on various dimensions: a lovely theme, brilliant incorporation of the two-community dynamic, and excellent balance. remember when you said "I felt safe and then suddenly I am bottom POE"? that wasn't because you slipped or anything, the POE just shrank to the point it could no longer conceivably hold enough misexes for you to win.
