I haven't really read significant chunks of the game and I probably won't in the near future, so I'm mostly just trying to keep an eye on the mech and find a couple confident townreads and build from there. Mac is one, Alison is another, neither of those are particularly helpful right this moment, Alison for obvious reasons and Mac cause he's pretty close to post capped (i think?).

Outside of those two I dont really have anyone im comfortable just clearing, so I'll probably try to compare their poes at some point at push in the overlap

If osie is wolf, we have variably similar reads, which makes me nervous that either I’m wrong on my toe reads or they’re distancing. Can’t tell.

-voting TSP while also wanting to vote me or lomo (bleh)
-continuing to scum read me and lomo
-explaining that Michele tries to avoid partners when wolf, which osie acknowledges looks bad for them
-moving right along with the tunnel of being bad and that I am spewing creature as town (lol bleh)
-continuing to explain michele’s meta, says they will look into whether or not she was doing that (though I don’t see how you can see that unless…you know who her partners are)

Michelle had her vote on osie for 24 hours, based on nothing, but osie was never in danger of getting votes. Then she soft defends osie down the line and retracts seemingly ever sussing them.

I hadn't shown up to the thread when she had her vote on me. Then when I showed up and started playing, she withdrew her vote since it would look weird for anyone with Michelle's level of experience playing with me to be voting for me. Michelle and I can usually find each other as t/t and so her finding me as town helps her stay out of firmly being in my scumreads.

Probably not. I know that my style looks a bit scummy and that it would take a real leap of faith to put me into your town core. And I also know that people find me hard to read, or so they say.

And I will ask the same question again. Knowing that I tend to play somewhat scummy, regardless of alignment, how do you read me?

I mean I don’t know that you tend to play somewhat scummy, because I don’t think I’ve ever played with you.

In this game, the scummy behavior I see is asking questions, seemingly doing nothing with the answers, and spending the rest of the time talking about your self prescribed scumminess as a defense.
So. I read you as not town-favoring. Scum lean. Could be difference in playstyle approach but if you normally play scummy, that’s…not a good approach to be read…as town.

I don't play scummy on purpose. And, yes, I know that asking questions is considered scummy. But, for me, it has to be considered NAI. I am a journalist, and that's how I gather information, IRL and in mafia games. I don't know any other ways to get people to talk more about themselves and how they are seeing than to ask them questions, preferably open-ended questions and then to either discuss their answers with them or ask follow-up questions.

But what do you plan to do with the information you're gathering? Like that seems to me to be what's lacking

I sort through it but a lot of it leads me to dead ends so, then, I get stuck and am still unsure of how to read people. This is the weak link for me. Translating information into reads and action.

Wow, that's a really unfavourable way to paint my actions.

I would have been overjoyed if I was in any form of chat (scum/mason/neighbour/etc) with Michelle or most other players and been putting a lot more time and energy into this game than I have. As is, it's been a bit difficult to be present and not actually drawing much interaction has greatly hurt my wim.

I voted TSP while being WILLING to vote you or LoMo. That's not saying that I'd PREFER to vote you or LoMo.

I've scumread you and LoMo because I found you scummy and my reads there haven't really updated.

At the moment, I'm still uncertain on you to the point of a scumlean, and even more so on LoMo. But I'm going through and ISOing everyone again since that was exponentially quicker than reading through the thread end to end, and I anticipate some shifts especially since out of the dead players, I was going to specifically look back at Michelle. I've been pretty solid (read: at least maybe 80% on accuracy so far in games) on finding Michelle's partners from her posts and what is or isn't in them.

Why would I even acknowledge or explain that as scum? I'd be trying NOT to make myself look bad.

I can look at Michelle's posts and usually see some amount of spew or lack of interaction pointing to buddies. I haven't tried in a larger game like this, but in smaller games, it's been pretty reliable on catching her buddies. If she doesn't talk about someone at all, they're probably a buddy.

i just gave up talking to him because the majority of my iso today was dedicated to hk's claim and as a top poster i think it's really disingenuous of him to say i'm keeping my opinions secret. Thing about Alison is she is 100% a power player, but is a controlled power player.
Scary wolfs because they can and will townlead. Can and will slip though, and this is certainly an interesting read...

it's almost as if nobody had a solid reason for tring alison other than the way she posts and her tone which is NAI and something she could do as either alignment
i started leaning alison town after i read a post game on MU where sara chidoun had town tunneled alexa and alisons tunnel felt more like that to me especially when mac tried to blitz me and eod1 with her and she was like 'wait lemme actually read honey's posts.. oh some of this is towny'
i just think it's dumb how willing some people are to sheep her i guarantee if she's town she doesnt want you to blindly sheep her she wants you to form your own reads opinions and pushes so she can read you so play ur own game and don't lean on her

if i was maf btw and alison or mac were town, one of them would've been dead 100% N1 and what i've learned from my stats class that means there's scum equity there. I do currently townlean alison but the kidnapping play could be scum/scum or scum/town. If youre scum why would you want your power player (alison) to get their hands dirty d2 and have them posting where there could be evidence building against them or you could keep them clean for a day. So i dont think people should take this solely as a scum aggression against town it could be s/s just keep that in mind. it would be optimal for scum to use kidnapping on alison if she was scum or town maybe they want her to blame it on me when she comes back idk.

I think the biggest thing that sucks here is it's super easy for wolves to vote me b/c "I have to be resolved" even though I do absolutely have to be resolved.

i feel like my progression and the 6 other people voting tsp's progression was the most natural way to read the redcheck and i tried to imagine what my progression would be as wolf if i knew both TSP and HK were town i would want to not get my hands dirty and be involved.

eh i went to iso falcon to see if it was damning for mac and not that much, he did challenge mac in the end but left us with this legacy which is more damning for scotty gnome and hk but i tred some of gnomes posts today and i really dont know

Osie is probably on the other side of the world. I know Mac is. I alwAys forget who’s Aussie and sleeping when the real people are up and about.

I'm on the west coast of the US, I just have an odd sleep schedule because of my job and some health conditions.

If osie is wolf, we have variably similar reads, which makes me nervous that either I’m wrong on my toe reads or they’re distancing. Can’t tell.

What are your current reads again other than tunneling me into insanity?

D2 so far for osie has been:
-shrugging off my case on them, saying “I wish I got to be scum partners with Michele!” (Bleh)
-voting TSP while also wanting to vote me or lomo (bleh)
-continuing to scum read me and lomo
-explaining that Michele tries to avoid partners when wolf, which osie acknowledges looks bad for them
-moving right along with the tunnel of being bad and that I am spewing creature as town (lol bleh)
-continuing to explain michele’s meta, says they will look into whether or not she was doing that (though I don’t see how you can see that unless…you know who her partners are)

Wow, that's a really unfavourable way to paint my actions.

I would have been overjoyed if I was in any form of chat (scum/mason/neighbour/etc) with Michelle or most other players and been putting a lot more time and energy into this game than I have. As is, it's been a bit difficult to be present and not actually drawing much interaction has greatly hurt my wim.

I voted TSP while being WILLING to vote you or LoMo. That's not saying that I'd PREFER to vote you or LoMo.

I've scumread you and LoMo because I found you scummy and my reads there haven't really updated.

At the moment, I'm still uncertain on you to the point of a scumlean, and even more so on LoMo. But I'm going through and ISOing everyone again since that was exponentially quicker than reading through the thread end to end, and I anticipate some shifts especially since out of the dead players, I was going to specifically look back at Michelle. I've been pretty solid (read: at least maybe 80% on accuracy so far in games) on finding Michelle's partners from her posts and what is or isn't in them.

Why would I even acknowledge or explain that as scum? I'd be trying NOT to make myself look bad.

I can look at Michelle's posts and usually see some amount of spew or lack of interaction pointing to buddies. I haven't tried in a larger game like this, but in smaller games, it's been pretty reliable on catching her buddies. If she doesn't talk about someone at all, they're probably a buddy.

I'm curious about the Nanook town read. I see no reason for him to be town. Even looking over his posts he hasn't really tried to solve or anything just been putting out theories on things that may or may not matter.

Him starting off Day 2 concerned about the flips and being cautious seeing what they had came off as towny to me.

I read it as him trying to cause confusion in the game. The role clearly stated the alignment will not be changed due to replicator. It also seems the him being spewed town from a Michelle wolf flip started from him. Maybe I'm wrong but I just don't see town from his posts.

Gnome can be shot tho, I agree with that.
