The reason I'd stated interest in voting for LC was that when I first joined the thread, you'd been pretty quick in responding to my posts, but took much longer to respond to my question asking about scumreads. But I also see that you were interacting with someone else, and your response is agreeable in the sense that I believe what you said, so I'm willing to walk that back for now.

I think it can function like a nerfed cop game. The watcher is powerful, but less so with the delaying factor. The other two non-vanilla roles exist only to weaken the watcher.

The mafia poison instead of kill. Not sure why. Maybe a nerf of their own to account for four members.

I think the game can be mostly a mountainous one, and any watcher insights are just a super welcome bonus.

There’s good mech stuff wrt poisons.

What do you have in mind?

here's some rationale for a tony town read. i see a few plausible motivations for opening a game with immediate mechanics stuff:

a) looked at setup pre-game and had a thought and/or looked at it upon entering the thread and wondered in general terms about claim dynamics and power role cover (alignment-neutral)

b) perceives one's own "town meta" to be dumping mechanics into the game (~mafia)

c) thinks encouraging mechanical stuff e.g. claims will help mafia isolate power role threat (mafia)

d) believes that the specific meta suggestion he provided would be to the benefit of the town faction (~town)

a) probably just flat happened. b) and c) are "plausible", but i don't view tony as the sort of player that thinks it's necessary to just dive straight into a game thread and fit his meta and/or out the power roles. he can just play the game in some ordinary manner and develop those kinds of strategies more coherently without the urgency of doing it immediately. d) seems more likely to me than b) or c). so town. a little bit. sorta. a wee tad.

caveat: this is a more developed explanation than i would like to give for tiny page one reads, and that's why i color tony light green.

I think Lime Coke's entrance to the thread was relatively safe in a wolf-y way. Man's dropped a townread on Sloonei after Jimmy already said he thought Sloonei was town and then half his explanation, as that nice lass StayPosi pointed out, was about somethin' to do with what Sloonei did after he made the read.

Oh yeah and as far as TSP goes. Well, I think I might be pickin' up what Sloonei is puttin' down here. Originally I was thinking in my head that TSP agreeing and changing his mind was kinda villagery, but now after Sloonei revealed the meta was fake, I'm almost wonderin' if TSP changed his mind to not try to outright disagree with the meta, but discredit it in a way.

Omg. Sloondog, I have sinned. For the longest time, I refused to use the words "wolf", "wolfy", "wolfing" and the likes. I did not like it.
