In SF2 it was mentioned more than once how i was a better exe even if they thought i was towny because i would do less solving/be less helpful. I think that can translate a lot into "easier to scumread" not because of exactly the 'unhelpfulness' coming off as scummy (though a factor), but because in your mind it just...makes it more easy to scumread them, because you don't want to think about "if they're town they're going to be useful"

I haven't caught up yet but I'm going to reiterate that after the way EOD1 went down yesterday and the nightkill it is absurd not to vote LC unless someone has a green check on him (which they don't because of the power roles in the game). You guys are seriously overthinking things when the right move to make is obvious.
