Why so confident that Gav is a wolf?

He does seem like he did the only time I saw him play (where he was a wolf)-- but that doesn't mean all that much.

Gavial isn't a logical player to begin with, so you can't read him on his decisions per say. I would say look at the consistency, how he is trying to assess if pushing me is a good idea or not... It doesn't feel like he's trying to interact with me, though anyone could tell you that would be futile, but he's also not dismissing me, or attributing any sort of read to my slot... But he's also ok with killing me at any time (note he has town reads, we'll get to that)

And then he draws random conclusions on who he thinks are town, relatively lackluster support for the ideas - No one is agreeing with him vs how my ideas were supported and Marmot & DrWigly both agreed with the conclusion - again not a logical player so question mark... Still, he shows no intention of making that information important when if he's town, making sure people are on the same page as him wrt those reads would be his wincon and I think he would be playing to that even if he could be wrong because he thinks very highly of his own reads.

Also, the lack of progression, it feels like Marmot is a town read just for the sake of having somewhere to dump his vote at the beginning of each day... It's consistent, and generally, behaviors like this of consistency are part of his scum game.

Pushing you? Yeah I was doing that yesterday and in this setup when I push someone it isn’t the norm. I’ll be pushing whom I think would be the most likely person to be town or if they are scum can spew others Town or even spew their bud.

In your case I pushed you because you were in middle ground and likely to be wolf and if you were indeed wolf it would have forced your team to draw an Town kill which gives us info.

In this case if you go over today and let’s say you flip wolf. It could show allot. If lets say your wolf you viewed me as a threat which probably means you didn’t think you could go over without discrediting me. Which probably means your partner is within the PoE and you wanted others to look away from it.

I don’t draw “random” conclusion, I use my own method to determine the likelihood of someone’s alignment and who they could be with if they flip scum.

General thought.

I assume that mafia are approaching the game in this way. They have 3 players. They will wait to nightkill 2 of them, and one of them needs to get chopped in Final 5. What they will do is nightkill the two who are unlikely two get chopped in a F5 scenario. Sabie was the first. We'll see who the second is.

The two players they plan to nightkill may end up jockeying in order to make the third player more likely to be chopped in F5. We'll see how that goes going forward.

Now, if there is a deep wolf, and we accidentally chop them today or tomorrow, that actually helps town a little bit. The mafia will no longer be able to nightkill the teammate they intended to, so they must be chopped in the future. It hurts town in the sense that that player will have potentially three chance to be chopped, but if the mafia wasn't planning on that, it might throw a wrench in our plans.

Flip side, if we chop a mafia teammate who is less townie, that definitely hurts town, as the townier mafia member will have a more reasonable chance at getting chopped later.



Some musings I'm having on the game. I'm not sure if they make sense. Do with them what you will.

I still think it would be best to sort out the lurkers. As this is a jestery game, those who play suboptimally are likely going to be left alone so as to up the chances of wolves winning.

My original statement was to get rid of the slankers and leave obvtown alive to eat the bullet. Get enough of obvtown, and the game should be easy. Wolves are already killing off the obvtown.

I know I'm one of the lurkers, since this is how I usually play. Maybe a bit less due to IRL, but I'd like to know if there's other lurkers.

Finding and voting off a strong wolf could prevent them from offing one of the lurker wolves to win the game. Not sure who those strong wolves are though.

I have had a similar problem as this game came at a weird time for me and I haven't been able to be around as much as I wanted which I guess puts me in the lurker category.

Are they obvtown? I voted scotty because I thought knowing for sure what alignment he is would help us figure things out. He also seems kind of contradictory about whether he thought we should vote him out and then getting annoyed that people were voting him. NAA all of a sudden hasn't been around today when he was one of the more talkative people earlier. I don't know that I would call him obv town. I guess I don't have anyone as obvtown at the moment. I do think some people seem kinda towny to me like marmot and wilgy but others I feel kind of unsure about. I guess at this point I'm trying to make a decision based on what would help us further the game and figure more things out so we know where to go moving forward.

I've considered this too, but it does feel too obvious. Also, if we're wrong on NAA today, then per my earlier take: mafia no longer get to nightkill their own, which would mean Luckbox would have to get chopped. I could see that being a challenge for him based on the game state.

If that is the case. I think we're fine. NAA with anyone else would be harder to catch.
