I still do think he's a slippery fish.
If I had to choose to vote only between him and MR, I'd choose Bass certainly.

I hope I get a chance to respond to Epi tomorrow.
I completely understand his qualms though. I fully admit that I was rushing and quite lazy with the post he's discussing. I'm torn between him and Bass being my Boddy candidates right now. I hope to discuss things in a more detailed manner tomorrow, since I'll have the day off.
And if I die, oh well. :/

Day 5
Okay, you've all got your weapons. Oh, I see some of you haven't. That's too bad, really, because now you're defenseless.
Those of you without a weapon (Mongoose and Vompatti) better make it up to me by posting a lot (on topic) today, or else you'll really be in trouble. Trust me.
Also, there is a letter from Mr. Boddy.
"MovingPictures07 is a role that is male." it says.
No one has died. You have 24 hours to lynch a baddie.

Glad you didn't die, MR. Feeling pretty good about you.
Bass - I think that's a brilliant point, but it's one of those wifomy issues as well. Would Mr. Boddy intentionally do something rookie in order to dispel attention? Would Mr. Boddy do something so rookie in order cover his tracks or make us think it's a newer player when it's Captain Veteran? I'm not sure.
Also: We know now thanks for Mr Boddy that Sockface is male, but that's not exactly revealing information since most of the roles are male.

Only here for a second, but I'll try to be back later, real busy day.
If we want to catch Boddy today, isn't everyone in agreement on this matter who it is? Seems like one player in particular is probably Boddy. I'm curious what people are thinking here, so for now I'll refrain from mentioning who I think it is, and I'll come back.

I think this is a winner winner chicken dinner. I'm not as virulently opposed to the sustaining of the indie pop like some players, but I'd rather it be an indie than a civ any day. I just don't think we can take that chance at this point in the game (Day 5, natch).MovingPictures07 wrote:Only here for a second, but I'll try to be back later, real busy day.

Re: Clue: The Movie [Day 5]
To anyone still under the impression that I am Mr. Boddy, I offer these words in my defense:
In Monty Python, I was last man standing and I killed every other Night. Even then, it was difficult to invest myself fully because I knew that my prospect of winning was nil. Now consider my activity and attentiveness in this: I have analyzed the thread multiple times, scrounging for any revelatory scrap I may have missed. I have kept detailed notes, maintained a spreadsheet, been bold, been apprehensive, been wrong, been right, and so far, been hopeful. That is not the attitude of someone who believes that victory is far from attainment.
If I were Mr. Boddy, what personal benefit would there be in my suggestion that we hunt for Boddy in the upcoming days? Not only that, but that I named three specific people who had to be Boddy? It would be in my best interest to keep the focus on the last remaining Mafia team member- but I did not do that. Does any of this describe the behavior of a last man standing independent bent on winning? It does not: It describes the behavior of someone bent on clearing his name.
Look at the civilian roles. Your read need not even be a careful. A cursory examination will suffice. Look at who tried to kill me. I did not survive a lynch, and I did not survive a kill from anybody else.
If none of this persuades you, then I plead with you to at least let me try to clear my name. If Bass, MR, or Matahari are not Boddy, then I will vote for myself. I would rather lose because of my own foolishness than that of others.

Random thoughts (that are getting me nowhere): Epig made a case for MR being Mr. Boddy, Mongoose favors Bass slightly more than MR (why?)
No evidence of vote forcing on night 2 and 3, (or maybe it was 1 and 3?), studied votes on the days in question and I only saw one that looked like it may have been forced, that was Mongoose's vote for Vompatti. There was no reason given for her vote for him, but I doubt she can discuss it if it was forced, so dead end.
Epig was in favor of going for Mr. Boddy instead of the last mafia dude, and his case on MR sounded like he legitimately believed it. Is he capable of setting up something in advance to get someone else looking guilty, or was he on the level?
also, I'm wondering if Mr. Boddy will be able to kill each night after the mafia is gone, or, if the last mafia dude gets a nightly kill if Mr. Boddy is gone?
My brain is nowhere at the moment, just full of questions with no answers. But I thought it would be polite to at least post something to show I'm trying

Re: Clue: The Movie [Day 5]
Because Its my birthday and i know I may not be home tonight, I am voting so I don't forget!! I think Epignosis looking for Body isn't necessarilly bad. He wants to try to limit who he/she is then go from there on the last baddie. I personally agree Body could go serial killer and start having us loose people more so yeah. But, I think I will vote Bass solely on Mata just came in and I think out of Epignosis suspects he seems the most likely to be. However, if Epignosis is Body and survived earlier in the game because of it, he's fooled us all and done a wonderful job starting a witch hunt.
Re: Clue: The Movie [Day 5]
Happy birthday again Boogs!
I'm still waiting to hear why Mongoose is leaning more towards Bass, Epig made some solid points about MR, but I don't know what the solid points are yet about Bass.
unless I missed something glaringly obvious which I'm prone to do when subbing in to a game

Re: Clue: The Movie [Day 5]
Thank you to Epi and Mata for your concern. Much love to you all.
Epi: I appreciated your breakdown of Boddy suspects. It has me seeing clearer when it comes to my thoughts on you and Bass. I feel more inclined to trust you, and I know you expressed understanding as to why your escape from death was pinging me. I believe my other moment of fear came leading up to SVS's death.
I will vote for Bass as well. Mata talked about waiting to see a case on Bass, but factor in the low amount of participation in this game. I don't see any other options. I know who I am and I'm not Boddy. I have felt better about Epi than I did at the start of the game. If Bass is Boddy, we'll need to spend 2 lynches trying to bring him down. If Epi is, we'll need an additional 1. I, on the other hand, won't survive any lynches.
I wasn't sure if I was going to be back in one day. I thought about calling up sabie (as we're friends irl) and having her contact Llama for me to get a replacement if I had to. Fortunately, I'm here. Normally, I'd pull out and go on hiatus anyways, but that's the old me. I'm invested in this game and sticking it out.
Linki: I hope you don't think not being lynched is going to prove a point.

Re: Clue: The Movie [Day 5]
well, I still don't know what is best to do. I might have to eeney meeny miney mo it.
I am a civ, my only real value to the game, so I would hate to see the chief switch things to me. If a civ has to go, I'm as go-able as anyone, I guess. I feel about as dumb as a box of rocks about who's bad. The only things I can say for myself are 2 separate events in the game, taken separately could be seen as a baddie bluff, but since both things have happened, I think it speaks better of my role. The first thing was Kpence voting himself, I generally think new players with no help tend to do that. The second thing was Hedge voting me. I've seen baddies vote their teammates to throw people off the trail, but it seldom works, especially when people are already throwing the name around as being in the suspicion column (Kpence/mata, kevin/vomp, and inactive Canuck.
So- either of those things could be baddie bluffs, if it was only one thing that happened, but seeing as how there were two things, it seems less likely that I would be part of the mafia. At least, thats how I would weigh it if I was viewing other people in the same circumstance.
That still doesn't help me trying to decide who Mr. Boddy is

Re: Clue: The Movie [Day 5]
I feel kind of icky about this. What point could Bass be hoping to make? To show that he will die and is not Boddy? Or that he will live because he is Boddy, and then get lynched tomorrow? I don't get it.
I thought Epig had sound reasons for MR being Boddy, but he didn't seem to believe them as much as I thought he did.
Ok, so it doesn't matter now anyway, I'll vote Bass too. I just wish I felt better about it.

I apologize for not coming back and saying why I backed up on MR. It has to do with this:Matahari wrote:I feel kind of icky about this. What point could Bass be hoping to make? To show that he will die and is not Boddy? Or that he will live because he is Boddy, and then get lynched tomorrow? I don't get it.

Boddy would not be calling attention to Boddy (my premise).
MR called attention to me, whom he thought was Boddy WHILE Bass directed attention away from me.
Furthermore, Mongoose is defending MR, and MR's responses sound genuine to me.

Thanks Epig. I won't even pretend to understand that quote of Bass'swatch what happens tonight then look at who would switch the vote to blooper the night she died.

Yeah, this is the post of someone who doesn't care.Bass_the_Clever wrote:not throwing in the towel. watch what happens tonight then look at who would switch the vote to blooper the night she died.Mongoose wrote:I hate to see Bass throw in the towel :/
Why would I look at "who would switch the vote for blopper the NIGHT she died?"
Blooper got lynched. That's a day thing.
And the lynch switcher is a civilian, so why would I look at that person?
I think we have our man.

No lynch tonight. Then we do it again tomorrow.

Fantastic. Who should we look at that would switch the vote to Blooper?
No need to be cryptic. You've had your chance to name names. Name a name and say why.

Re: Clue: The Movie [Day 5]
Only I voted for her that night fool because I thought she was bad because of the lynch that svs got lynched instead of her. Thats why I was asking the questions about the switch to her trying to she if she would claim a role I knew she wasn't. I was wrong in the long run but at the time it felt right until she came back civ.

Re: Clue: The Movie [Day 5]
You're claiming to be the Chief who spent his switch. That's even less helpful. What this means now is that, if you are Boddy, you will survive, and if you are the Chief, you have your stop, and will survive.Bass_the_Clever wrote:Only I voted for her that night fool because I thought she was bad because of the lynch that svs got lynched instead of her. Ninja Blooper never claimed a role. She said she was "99% sure" she knew how she survived. To me, that indicates that the Cook was involved. And you used a lynch switch for that?
Why don't people TALK before votes are cast? Isn't that the point?

This is were we talked about it and you didn't say anything about the cook when we talked about.Epignosis wrote:Or you can outline the alternate scenarios in which she survived the lynch. That wasn't just a survival. That was a switch.Bass_the_Clever wrote:Well I would like to point out that ninja said she was only 99% sure how she survied the lynch. I think if it was because of her role she would be 100% sure. I will be most likley voting ninja.
