The Mollies knew that their time was running out, but they also knew that they couldn't afford to make any mistakes at this point. Thus, they decided to stay in the mines once again, but they knew that they had to face the world tomorrow.
Nobody has died. It is now N4. It will end at the normal time tomorrow.

With only a few miners still willing to stand up against them, the Reading Railroad knew they had nearly won. Still, there were a couple threats to eliminate, so they sent someone with orders to kill Thomas Duffy. When he returned home from mining, he didn't stand a chance.
The propagandizing had been so effective that now, everyone on the street was calling to hang the Molly Maguires. This was now national news, so their last shot to save themselves was to find who was actually behind these murders. If they didn't take their chance now, Pennsylvania would be controlled by robber barons for the forseeable future.
It is now day 5. The phase will end Friday on 11pm ETC unless all players agree to end it earlier. This will be the last phase of the game.

You are Thomas Duffy! You were hanged on Black Thursday in 1877 despite your connections to the murder you were accused of being extremely tenuous (you were only really accused of giving money to the supposed assassin) but since the corporation that you were unionizing against controlled the judge, jury, and witnesses, you didn't stand a chance. This engraving depicts you saying farewell to your friends and family as you are sent to be hanged in the largest mass execution in Pennsylvania history. You are one of the Molly Maguires and win when the moles from the Pinkerton Detective Agency have been rooted out and eliminated.

Re: The Molly Maguires Mafia (D5)
Okay so first of all, me being alive probably shouldn't be surprising given who exactly is in the playerlist. Like I feel like I am good but there were plenty of other players that I can easily consider being better than me. You can literally look at Philo 2 and despite the fact that I had a hand in taking out both JJJ and Mac who were wolves I was still being kept alive by mafia.
This game has been way longer than I expected it to go, and I lost my mind half way through because of how it went.
The fact that it's literally my 2 null reads and both that were put up Day 3 as vote outs kinda hurts me read wise since I had some sort of confidence on the others.
Honestly I'm starting to see why Wilgy is lasting forever and isn't going down, he subbed in and instantly starting firing up and made a full effort to try to solve. Plus he keeps fighting back trying to get a wagon on a wolf read even if they didn't happen entirely. Plus he's attempted to go after the players in the game that would probably be a death sentence if he was mafia.

Re: The Molly Maguires Mafia (D5)
Keep in mind the last time I was in a Final 3 it was between myself, Alice, and some third player that was more of a newb. Alice was my blind spot and the player I was kind of shielding that game, and I was kept alive all game because of that.
When I did my research on the third player and iso'd him and saw what he did I connected the dots and figured that he was town, but I was afraid of losing to a newb mafia member and hammered him anyways instead of Alice and lost.
I really don't want to make that similar mistake, and Alison is sort of a blind spot for me and I was sort of trying to let others sort her out and if she's mafia they would find out. So I sort of focused on Wilgy more and I kind of find him out to be town and Alison mafia because of that.

Like this is just about the justification I need. I don't expect town Alison to kinda just lay down and die.
Iso reading. While you both sus'd LB, I didn't feel that LC put LB behind an alternative where Alison did.
Alison could've broken her LB sus in favor of the alternative, while I don't think LC did.
I'll say that I have one last hesitation in LC's "everyone is so damn towny except LB and Wilgy." But what kind of long term plan is that for scum to play out?
I'll ponder here for just abit longer. Spec chat is probably baffled here.

Ultimately, the Mollies couldn't unite together in time, and in the meantime the Pinkerton Detective Agency was able to gather enough "evidence" to frame the Mollies for the murders. The Reading Railroad just had to pay off a couple juries, and the work was done.
Meanwhile, Franklin B. Gowen sat in his office, content that the threats to his profit margins have been eliminated. He may have felt a little guilty hanging some innocent men, but it didn't matter when he could now lower everyone's wages, increase their hours, and spend even less on safety. With this much money, no one in Pennsylvania, not even the state government, would be able to stop him.
The Mollies ultimately failed in their goals, and more miners would have to suffer under terrible working conditions. But their battles would inspire many other workers to stand up against the robber barons of their day, and they are still well remembered in the Anthracite Coal Region to this day.
Endgame has been achieved. The Pinkerton Detective Agency, consisting of Luckbox Inc and Lime Coke, has won!

You are Michael Doyle! According to the pro-corporate Harrisburg Daily Independent, you were "the best-looking man of the lot" of the Molly Maguires who were convicted of the murder of two mine bosses in a sham trial in Mauch Chunk. Ultimately, you were supposedly at the heart of a conspiracy to murder the mine owners who were openly blacklisting miners who participated in the Long Strike, but the evidence was a witness under the payroll of said mine owners. You are one of the Molly Maguires and win when the moles in the Pinkerton Detective Agency are rooted out and eliminated.

You are Edward Kelley! You were hanged in a prison in Mauch Chunk (now known as Jim Thorpe) because you were accused by the mine owners of killing mine bosses John P. Jones and Morgan Powell alongside three other men, but in reality this was a sham trial. Ultimately, you were executed in the largest mass hanging in Pennsylvania history. You are one of the Molly Maguires and win when the moles from the Pinkerton Detective Agency are rooted out and eliminated.

You are Franklin B. Gowen! As the owner of the Philadelphia and Reading Railroad, you have a monopoly on the coal mines of eastern Pennsylvania, and despite it being illegal for you to own said mines, you're too powerful for the state of Pennsylvania to do anything about it. Your mines are known for their dangerous conditions, with hundreds of workers being killed yearly in mine accidents and children as young as eight doing dangerous work, and after an economic depression you tried to squeeze even more money out of your workers. This led to the rise of the Molly Maguires, a group of Irish-American miners who united against the terrible working conditions and demanded better working conditions. Seeing this as a threat to your profit margins, you decided to hire the Pinkerton Detective Agency to gather "evidence" to bust the Molly Maguires for once and for all. You are allied with the Pinkerton Detective Agency and win when the Molly Maguires have been eliminated or if nothing can stop this from happening.

Re: The Molly Maguires Mafia (D5)
So that's the game! Inactivity in the later phases killed the town, but both wolves did very well! Luckbox did a good job of spewing so that town wouldn't get any useful information out of his flip, while LC of course brought home the win. For the sake of transparency, here are the host errors I made:
- Accidentally giving EnderWiggin the role that RNG had determined should have gone to Esooa. Since both were vanilla town, this didn't affect the game at all, but I'm mentioning it anyway for the sake of transparency.
- A couple of technical difficulties - namely, not being able to set up the poll immediately D1, and me having to send DrWilgy his Role PM several times before it went through
- Forgetting to remove the Discord link from Luckbox's flip. This was really bad and could have cost the game, but fortunately DrWilgy and anyone else who happened to notice it were good sports and nobody clicked on that link. Still, I responded by editing it out, making the link expire, and making the wolfchat server more secure. In the future, I am definitely going to send Discord links separately from Role PMs, no matter how much more convenient the forum makes it to send them together.
And now for the typical questions - did you enjoy the game, was the hosting fair, and was flavor good?

Game was okay. Hosting was fair. Flavor was very good.leetic wrote: ↑Fri Dec 24, 2021 11:54 pm So that's the game!

Amazing LC
I didn't really follow after I died (or really before I died honestly)-- but you must have played great.

He did. Miles better than his usual scum performance; he's really broken out of his "polarized" meta now. Compared to Buckets it was a huge improvement.Luckbox Inc wrote: ↑Fri Dec 24, 2021 11:56 pm Amazing LC

Re: The Molly Maguires Mafia (D5)
Alison was very correct logically at the end but the way she engaged wilgy put him in a situation where he would have felt better losing to lc than to her which is lame. The tone was too antagonistic compared to LC. I can see that working in other f3s though because LC was coming off a fair but more worried and desperate. Wilgy's read that town Alison wouldn't just belly up was objectively bad logic because the opposite is even more true of Alison (and most players). Don't hold it against him though for the aforementioned.
But when you're busy you're busy c'est la vie.
And great game Lime.

Re: The Molly Maguires Mafia (ENDGAME)
Yeah when you play games based on how good you feel instead of what makes you win then you won't win. That's the long and short of it.
