i'm re-evaluating all of my reads from scratch and then going from there. that was the second (or possibly even third day) in a row where the day ended like ~24 hours before the deadline and im a little frustrated that i haven't even had the time to solve this game properly

spf is trying to propose the possibility that the wagon on falcon was all town

this is a patently ridiculous idea from my point of view: the only three people alive who did not vote falcon are me, dolby, and nanook. for me to accept that idea i would have to accept that the mafia team is dolby/nanook and nanook just kind of passively bussed dolby and let town drive itself off a cliff. but i don't think that's what he'd do as mafia, and he was raelly trying to get people to vote dolby. so that idea is outrageous from my point of view, and it should be obvious why i reject it

now, from her pov you have to have the consideration that the team is me/dolby. this, again, doesn't make a ton of sense because i easily could have let myself vote falcon after my rereading earlier in the day, so again that assumes i'm really desperately bussing or something. which is possible, i guess, but i don't think it would seem the most likely. but regardless: dolby replaced alison. go look back at alison's iso. it is not very long. i was the one person in the game that alison pushed. we make absolutely no sense whatsoever as a mafia team. this should be really obvious for anyone to see. (this was the somewhat greedy reason i wanted dolby flipped because i could argue this in my defense).

any rational person could see that alison/me makes no sense as a team. but this is the solve stay positive friend is advocating. she is not a ridiculous or irrational person, so why is she proposing this? it is because she is mafia and does not care to think about the game rationally, only in terms of narratives that are convenient to her. she does not care about solving the game

oh and just to clear things up, i think that gira was actually right that it was illogical for me to believe that he and dolby worked as a team. i looked over the interactions between gira and dolby and thought that they were compatible (and no, i didn't find think his point about not voting for dolby on d2 was a compelling reason to dissociate the two of them), but i didn't look at the interactions on alison's side and failed to factor in that they looked pretty clearly unaligned with each other

this was the first post i thought was actually pretty towny from gira because the logic was actually correct, but i guess it'd be pretty easy to make this post from the POV of a wolf that knows he is being incorrectly paired with another player for bad reasons

Not to self meta or anything but Alexa gets night killed on N2 at the LATEST if I'm mafia.

I've already played 2 games against Alexa where I'm mafia and she's town, which you were in 1 of them. Both games I spoke to my wolf mate(s) that Alexa should eat the N1. Both games my wolf mates responded with "You have her pocketed, we're keeping her alive." Doesn't matter how much I work to keep Alexa pocketed, including literally spending an entire day phase pandering to her, she figures me out and votes me out. Even if she outs a townread on me, it's always loose at best and she ends up questioning it often.

That's something I learned my lesson on.

lime coke is townier in this game than ive seen him in even most of his town games, which would mean that a world where he's a wolf is a world where he became an EXTREMELY good and scary wolf within an extremely short period of time. it's possible and it is something i'm considering while i'm re-evaluating my reads, but i don't find it particularly likely

Actually, fun fact is that completely disregarding this game (Since it's unfinished and we don't know everything yet) we've only been T/T in every forum mafia game together.

I actually am interested in how I would do if I rolled mafia against you in a forum mafia game, and it would be a game I'd try hard as a wolf.

Chat mafia I'd say your accuracy on me was the closest to 100%. The only time I fooled you as mafia was mainly because everything aligned correctly.

i see what you're getting at - i think that alexa is generally very protective of how people are perceiving her in the thread as a wolf, and she probably wouldn't want her partners to push on her/bus her unless there was a specific strategy behind it (and to my memory, drwilgy's push on alexa didn't really feel "strategic" in any sense as much as it felt like he was picking a random name out of a hat)

i think part of the reason i'm struggling to get a comfortable solve is because d1/d2 of this game feel like they happened months ago - i didnt even remember that drwilgy pushed on alexa on d1 until you brought it up just now lol. i'm probably just going to need to re-read the game entirely even if it's going to suck
