OK, so Neeko's current theory.
Neeko's role makes her agree with Nutella roles and alignments might not be tied down.
If Mafia chose roles why not take N0 rolecop? So Mafia either chose players and forwent N0 rolecop meaning Alexa and Nutella are both Town.
OR
Mafia chose roles and took N0 rolecop using it to find roles quicker. Mafia probably wouldn't say they have a N0 rolecop on who they actually checked meaning Nutella and Alexa are probably both Mafia pretending with a gambit.
Nutella suggesting roles are not tied to alignment to Neeko makes it more likely option B was what happened and Nutella knew roles were not randomly assigned alignments.

Don't think Nanook would offer N0 rolecop to mafia with a soupkill. Can't think of a more unfun way to get eliminated.

Why not. It is common for mafia to have a role cop in set ups with a soup kill.

I can believe a mafia rolecop. N0 seems sketchy. The point of a bastard role madness game is to see the roles collide wildly. An N0 rolecop in a game with a soupkill is an uninteractive check followed by an uninteractive kill that takes a potentially fun role out of the game completely. It is an unsatisfying way to die and I don't think Nanook would add a role like that into the game.

Maybe I am wrong. I was wrong the last time I tried to host read Nanook. But I do think that N0 checks like that don't really make mafia games more fun, and I think he is a host that cares very much about fun and making sure everyone has a good time.

I dont think Alexa has a N0 check.
I think she tried to fake a red check on her own partner and planned to retract it but i happened to ruin their little plan.
