i think wolves generally aren’t bold enough to go that hard against jay declaring someone lock v and the content of c4’s case is one of those subtle things wolves don’t pick up on (unless they’re w/w)

also think it’s villagery from c4 specifically because i think it’s the sort of thing he tends to look for when solving and the way he followed up with it to me reads like how he gets when he believes he’s caught something, but i’d v read it from anyone

It’s a pretty dramatic refutation of “having any read on Jay”, barely into the game’s beginning. You tend to leave me to resolve myself, and I am skeptical that you really cared whether other people viewed me as town or as mafia at that point. It’s fine to have no read. It’s awkward to broadcast a non-read onto others like it’s where they should be as well.

I am usually content to leave self resolving slots to self resolve. I will speak up if people are going too far in townreading them for too little reason, because it makes them not self resolving. (If a player who is well known for bagging wolves early fails to bag wolves too many days in a row, they get exposed as scum - that's self resolving. But if the entire game goes overboard in exaggerating how townie and unfakeable their behavior is, then they won't be held accountable even if they fail to do so - so they stop being self resolving.) I'm fairly sure that I've said similar things in previous games before, but I can't think of any specific sources right now.
