The children are watching Curious George on PBS Kids. Behind me, I hear a very familiar voice. It's the Chef.
And it occurred to me. "That's fucking Minsc from Baldur's Gate right there."
Now I can't help picturing a fat chef slaughtering gnolls to save a witch.
And I never realized that Minsc is Italian.

Re: Random~
Any recommendations where to start with them? I bought their EP "Long Live the King" (because it was a couple bucks), but learned that it is only outtakes from the studio album. I haven't listened to it yet, with the intent to start somewhere else. Thoughts?MovingPictures07 wrote:New album from The Decemberists on January 20, 2015!!!

The Crane Wife had me hooked, but you really can't go wrong with Castaways and Cutouts, Picaresque, or The Hazards of Love. Colin Meloy is an excellent storyteller and lyricist, and he shines on all four of these.Metalmarsh89 wrote:Any recommendations where to start with them? Pretty much this. I love every single one of their albums, personally. I would probably start with The Crane Wife, but you can't go wrong with any of those.Epignosis wrote:The Crane Wife had me hooked, but you really can't go wrong with Castaways and Cutouts, Picaresque, or The Hazards of Love. Re: Random~
For me it was Picaresque~ this is one of my top five favorite songs of all time, from that album:
Since you are in the Northwest, if you ever make it to Missoula, Colin Meloy went to college there, and did some garage band stuff. Decemberists are big there.

So we had open enrollment for insurance at work. They have us get blood work done and if you pass 3 of the 5 danger areas you get a hella discount on the price of the insurance.
I passed two of them. So fucking close.
The ones (besides being a smoker) I didn't pass - so fucking marginally.
I missed the BMI one by literally .37% (had to show a 5 percent change - mine was 4.62.)
Missed the glucose one by 18 ML.
HDL colesteral? - Needed 50 to pass - I had 42.
You've *got* to be kidding right? sooooo freeekin' close!!!!!!!! *shakes fist*

Re: Random~
This is going to sound pedantic, but it's not, I promise.
Is grilled cheese panini/o redundant or does it convey something specific? For instance, a souped up sandwich with fresh basil or sliced pears/tomatoes/prosciutto? Or maybe it signifies a certain type of bread? Ooooh, some nice ooey gooey Cuban bread with that tiiiiight, crusty outside?
YOU CANNOT GET REAL CUBAN BREAD IN TALLAHASSEE AND I HATE MY LIFE
