Re: The Legend of Zelda (Ganon's Conquest) [Day 1]
Busy days suck
I couldn't figure out some of the answers either so I had pretty much given up. I was thinking cup for the tea one and for some reason I had Eagle in my head for the band Journey (miss you Steve Perry!. I hadn't considered it but the capital J does sound more like it could be the car. But Russ sounds pretty accurate.

A net gain of potentially 140 rubies to a net gain of 30 rubies, that can cannot be combined, seemed like it was a deal in favor of civvies.Snow Dog wrote:And why are we solving it publicly?

^ that''s whyRusstifinko wrote:But that's exactly my point! The goodies already have BTSC, so they'll probably get most of this stuff anyway. We're unlikely to help them as much as ourselves by sharing. As yes their upgrades are cheaper, but we can pool gold for ours, so ours are actually cheaper per participating player than theirs are!Metalmarsh89 wrote:I'm indifferent on this. While I believe discussion is good, I am also more afraid that the Hyrulians would take more advantage of the information than the civs would, since they have BTSC, and their items to buy are cheaper than upgrades for Ganon's minions.Russtifinko wrote:Haha! They do talk a bunch in that show. And so fast! My girlfriend learned English partly by watching it.
Anyway, as I said before, I think it bears more discussion, but I support the idea of sharing...ideas in thread. It's obviously risky, because more rupees for the goodies means more items and more kills, but it also means the baddies will be able to upgrade faster and better. It'll also engender good vibes and whatnot, helping each other, if you're into that sort of thing.
Anyway, my point is that I think the fact that we all share rupees means these things are more valuable to us, and we need every advantage against the goodies, who have BTSC and are talking about all this anyway (and so probably will get most things right). I'm curious about other perspectives though.
This convinces me. I'm sharing what I have, and I hope others will do the same. The more rupees and treasure we can earn, the better our chances to outlast those do-gooders.
Russtifinko wrote:Ok, here's my best shot for now....

As referring to the hand remark, i went with it because there seemed to be no objection, even to my personal objection, I figured it was something obvious i was just missing.

I agree, all we have is the thread. And the Jaguar one should be tires. A car doesn't rest on it's wheels, at least not if you want to drive it.

Don't if you prefer, but this question:Snow Dog wrote:I'm not changing mine to tyres.
would not be wheels unless there was something wrong with the car. The wheels are attached to the axle, the tires make contact with the road. If your Jaguar is resting on it's wheels, you have seriously neglected your maintenance :PThe seventh, those on which Jaguars rest
Although I agree that "wheels" are more poetic. Could be I am quibbling over minutiae

Day 2: Ten Eggs
No one has been killed.
“Masterful work,” said the old man of the Eagle Labyrinth.
The first boasts the namesake of this place
Eagle
The second brings the tea to the face
Cup
The third depicts the Journey creature
Scarab
The fourth, that diurnal, celestial feature
Sun
The fifth exhibits the cubes of chance
Dice
The sixth, a Neptunian lance
Trident
The seventh, those on which Jaguars rest
Wheels
The eighth, the guardian of the treasure chest
Lock
The ninth show they that dwell in zoos’ dens
Lions
And the tenth is adorned with naught but Mohs’ tens
Diamonds
“You have received a reward of one rupee per correct identification. Anyone who was perfect may take the contents of the egg of his choice. There’s no need to fret the decision, for they all contain the same thing: Five rupees. Bless you for helping me!”
It is now Day 2. You have 24 hours to lynch someone.

You can work out how many rupees you earned. To me, a tire itself is a wheel, so either answer is correct.

Yeah it wasn't consensus. Just me. I stand by it, the benefit to us was clearly way bigger than the risk (thanks for the math on that, Made). And Metalmarsh playing devil's advocate. Damn! Missed it by one. Cup was actually my first instinct when I saw that riddle. I got too caught up in the wording of the riddle. I was thinking "cups don't actually MOVE the tea, they just hold it and your hand moves it". Which in hindsight is kind of stupid, especially since it was clear Epi shot for poetic on some of the others.Snow Dog wrote:I wouldn't and I saw no general consensus.LizKeen wrote:It seemed to be the general consensus, but then I just caught up.Snow Dog wrote:And why are we solving it publicly?

And yay no death! Can't say I'm super surprised, with the way the items are. We should get a goodie before the Night of Three Kills if we can, though.

I'm going to be looking back at the people who voted Made Day 1 (Boogs, Zeek, Elohcin, Snow Dog, Bass_the_Clever, Sabie) as it felt very bandwagon-y to me. I feel there must be at least one Hyrule in the bunch. Also I'm confused about why Made wouldn't want to have the same suspicions he had yesterday unless he's now Hyrule or The River.

Re: The Legend of Zelda (Ganon's Conquest) [Day 2]
First, I am glad no one died! I am saddened I submitted my riddle answers after we got input. I think it was more of an advantage we got correct answers than the 3 mafias since our totals help make us stronger for Ganon so continued discussion may be very good!LizKeen wrote:I'm going to be looking back at the people who voted Made Day 1 (Boogs, Zeek, Elohcin, Snow Dog, Bass_the_Clever, Sabie) as it felt very bandwagon-y to me. Um, i thought he acted strange to begin with and his in thread behavior and he continued being weird. I didnt start a bandwagon or participate in one, but you have to admit his behavior was WAY weird so I dont blame people voting for him. I actually am not looking at Made voters, but rather out of the norm behavior for players i have played with before or votes not making sense.

How should I have contributed at this point in the game when you posted this? I am currently still playing another game, so not as present as I could be. You say you were waiting for me to respond, but respond to what? You didn't ask me any questions. You just said my confusion bothered or pinged you more than Sabie. I assure you my confusion is legit and totally normal in a more unusual game on Day 1. I was also saying I was confused about answering riddles, etc. the mechanics of the game as was Snowy. I am not sure how this would be a baddie ploy for me though.fingersplints wrote:RIP Made. I was waiting to see if hedgie responded, and then I got busy doing pup stuff and missed it. I can elaborate on this if it helps:S~V~S wrote:I have been expecting Splints to come back in & change her vote off of AP.
I do not think that everyone who is confused is bad obviously. It is just something I notice in games, because like I said I have played the confused baddie loads of times and it does work. sabie has seemed pretty genuine in her responses, and as llama pointed out this is the norm for her. I do not remember hedgeowl ever seeming this confused, and although it is day 1 she hasn't posted much of anything other than posts on her confusion. While it is possible she is confused, it also seems like to me that she is hiding behind that confusion to avoid posting of substance.fingersplints wrote:hedgeowl' bothered me more then sabie's. So I might have switched to her. Although, I don't mind voting AP if it will get him to post more

But you had plenty of time to read and keep up with the jokey posts in the thread. That is suspicious to me. All I wanted was something from you.Hedgeowl wrote:How should I have contributed at this point in the game when you posted this? You say you were waiting for me to respond, but respond to what? You didn't ask me any questions. You just said my confusion bothered or pinged you more than Sabie. I assure you my confusion is legit and totally normal in a more unusual game on Day 1. I was also saying I was confused about answering riddles, etc. the mechanics of the game as was Snowy. I am not sure how this would be a baddie ploy for me though.fingersplints wrote:RIP Made. I just skimmed everything, but I still don't really get what you were lynched forIt seemed pretty standard from what I have seen from you in our brief history playing together.
I was waiting to see if hedgie responded, and then I got busy doing pup stuff and missed it. (last night with them! it's been tough, but I will miss them)I noticed you mentioning the people going after sabie. I hope I am not included in that crew.
Although, I don't mind voting AP if it will get him to post more
You don't see how avoiding posting anything of substance is a baddie ploy? By posting confusion on the game mechanics it makes it at least somewhat appear you are talking about the game, when you aren't really. So at least some of your posts were "on topic".
Like I said before, maybe you really are confused. That is not the only thing that has pinged me about you though. It's just your overall lack of substance to your posts.

No deaths good good. Now to figure out who are the baddies. Hmmm
Sometimes life does seem all planned out, like there's no choice in the matter. But that's just an illusion.

Yay no death!
Nice job, those who worked on the riddle.
I also wonder if splints is onto something with Hedge's posts being all jokey too, that was a good point.

Very good question, sir! I'm not honestly quite sure yet, I'll have to think about it myself. However, I did wonder if there was a push to lynch you over Sabie due to saving a teammate OR whether a push to lynch both of you could have been bandwagoned by some baddies.Made wrote:Yo MP,

I re-read his posts before I decided who to vote on and to be honest I didn't find them all that weird. Considering the outcome of the vote I actually find it weirder that you are aren't looking at any Made voters. I also haven't forgotten Sabie who managed to escape the lynch because of all the votes piled on Made.Boogs wrote:Um, i thought he acted strange to begin with and his in thread behavior and he continued being weird. I didnt start a bandwagon or participate in one, but you have to admit his behavior was WAY weird so I dont blame people voting for him. I actually am not looking at Made voters, but rather out of the norm behavior for players i have played with before or votes not making sense.LizKeen wrote:I'm going to be looking back at the people who voted Made Day 1 (Boogs, Zeek, Elohcin, Snow Dog, Bass_the_Clever, Sabie) as it felt very bandwagon-y to me. I feel there must be at least one Hyrule in the bunch. Also I'm confused about why Made wouldn't want to have the same suspicions he had yesterday unless he's now Hyrule or The River.

Re: The Legend of Zelda (Ganon's Conquest) [Day 2]
Made is still relatively new; this might be close to like his fifth(?) game now, so I'm used to some bizarre behavior from him... but nonetheless, I agree here too. I thought it was shady how people piled onto him; as I usually say, weird does not equate to suspicious. But I suppose it was D1 and nothing really stuck out, so I'm sure there's some misguided civvie in there. For example, I think Boogs's vote looks least bad to me, if I had to assert such a statement. He just comes across as genuine in his vote defense.LizKeen wrote:I re-read his posts before I decided who to vote on and to be honest I didn't find them all that weird. However, it's also possible baddies wouldn't want to be scrutinized if Made flipped civvie, as he often has for acting weird, so there's that to keep in mind, particularly from those who have played games with him previously.

Not sure how well I can read Boogs, but Dom is an often a tough one for me too. I feel his posts seem less passionate and committed when he's bad though, in general.Made wrote:Putting this out there

Re: The Legend of Zelda (Ganon's Conquest) [Day 2]
It's late, I'm tired, have a long day tomorrow, so going to mull on things here and see if I can narrow a suspect focus more sufficiently. The timing of this lynch ends terribly for me, right at the end of my night class, and I'm busy all day before then. I'll see if I can pop on at some point in between some work.
