Actually, I've thought about this a bit more, and I'm not sure I'm getting the passionate, genuine civvie vibes from zeek this game. His playstyle seems absolutely different, and I don't like how he essentially "randomized" on Day 2.

Happy Halloween, everyone :D

RIP, Hedge! My gut was right. And your owl pictures always make me laugh really loud in inappropriate places.

Lots of suspicions going around today. I was looking at Boogs on Day 1, and I also haven't really changed my mind much about him. The cheerleading for Team Ganon, as LizKeen mentioned, seems too..."hey hey look I'm a Civ!" And his eyeball towards Liz for pointing it out doesn't really help the case.

I've played with him in DW (and I think another game or two but I can't remember what), which I know he is passionate about (I mean, hey, DT in the avatar is never wrong :D), so I wonder if the fact that he says he knows "nothing about Zelda" has to do with his playstyle this game? I will agree - his behavior is different from what I've seen before.

Yeah, I wonder about that too, so that's why I'm not jumping at the case. But I am curious what he's thinking suspect-wise.

Well I'm suspicious of the Hedge voters. I didn't see a whole lot there that pinged me about her and she did turn up civ so I'll be paying attention to them for the next lynch. I just need some time to look over everything. Too much going on with halloween and such right now.

I agree with giving more of a look at Hedge voters. It just seemed so drummed-up to me at the time, even before Hedge flipped civ.

Very good question, sir! I'm not honestly quite sure yet, I'll have to think about it myself. However, I did wonder if there was a push to lynch you over Sabie due to saving a teammate OR whether a push to lynch both of you could have been bandwagoned by some baddies.

I also wonder if splints is onto something with Hedge's posts being all jokey too, that was a good point.
So this is saying MP jumped on splints' suspicion and not the other way around, right?

If so I think a harder look needs to be taken at MP. However, I still think the suspicion itself was a little out there, and I have been getting bad vibes from fingers, so I stand by that suspicion too.

This is Splints, 1:15 Tuesday

Who knows, he could be acting weird cuz he's bad. He hasn't contributed a whole lot IMO. But then, every time I try to lynch someone for not contributing, they seem to be good. So I agree that he's being weird, Snowy, but there's probably better candidates for my vote today.

I'm not sure how to address this really. I'm a big Doctor Who geek and I've never played Zelda. That's why I don't seem as passionate.

As for my vote, AGAIN, I had five minutes. We've all had those times I'm sure. What would you have preferred? A self vote? Jumping on the Hedgeowl express all the way to lynching another civ? I did the only fair thing I could without knowing what had happened.

Honestly, these suspicions seem contrived to me.

I think we're lynching civs for not much. It's early of course and there will be more to work with in the future, but I'm going on gut tomorrow. Thinking Made had slipped up got me nowhere so I'll reread and see who pings me.

I know what you mean; it's still a bit early, but I'm feeling lost in which direction to take, even if I have a few general ideas. Look forward to future input.

I know I haven't been around all day. I had school, cake order to complete, house cleaning and laundry, and then had to get everyone out the door by 4:30 for Trunk-or-Treat. But, Halloween was a success....we have three full buckets of candy!

I will catch up now.
Banners are cool, but a pain to scroll through so...
I've won a lot of games. I've hosted some games. The end.

Day 3: Twelve in a Blue Moon

MovingPictures07 has been eliminated by Link’s sword.

“I can see the moon holds many places of importance in your culture,” said the old man of the Moon Labyrinth. “You will receive one rupee for each valid, unique entry. Some of you may receive the bonus. In my vision, I witnessed the Host savoring a Blue Moon Gingerbread Spiced Ale!”
It is now Day 3. You have 24 hours to lynch someone.

Let's play money making game.

-10 rupees

-10 rupees

-10 rupees

Choose first, second, or third (bold in the thread). If you are with Ganon, you can choose to play, with the group losing or winning accordingly. If you are with Hyrule, you may only risk your individual rupees (so you must have ten to play).
Based on a random drawing:

The first option = -10 rupees
The second option = +10 rupees (Push)
The third options = +20 rupees

The Triforce of Power

So...it is power you desire. Very well.

Describe to the Host the greatest Night power you have ever had...or the one you always wish you had.

“Is that all?” you ask? Ha! Of course not, fool!

In your private message containing the above, you may choose (or choose not) to grasp at the Triforce of Power and win it for yourself.

To attempt this feat, you must state who is going to be lynched on Day 3.

And then make it happen. :feb:

Based on this, I think it would be in our best intrest to not kill Zeek tonight.

Likewise i think persuing Sabie, LLama, and MM would also be a mistake.

While yes, they are our top suspects (based on vote received/general night time consistence) anyways, But Mafia needs the piece of power to win the game, without it, they can't win the game.

I refuse to vote any of the above people unless
1. Someone makes a obvious baddie slip/accidentally outs
2. 5 people say that the above strategy is straight up stupid.

It's super worrisome to me that Link's sword is already powerful enough to kill, seeing as it gets upgraded throughout the game. I thought we had another night before kills started coming in.

Oh never mind, they do have to acquire all 3 pieces. So Made, your post kind of makes sense.

However, it seems to me like they don't win just by getting it; they probably win by killing us all, and since if you die someone else can get your Triforce, them getting it would just be a necessary side effect of us all being dead.

Linki: Why I think what? And now that you mention it, why is Made deciding who our suspects are, and why are you a top one. Have you even taken a vote yet?

I've self-voted and taken votes from Dom. I'm disregarding those right now.

Because bombs and arrows cost 40 rupees apiece, and based on how many rupees it's been possible to get so far, I figured that an active goodie would probably get there today or tomorrow.

That sounds reasonable.

I have a couple theories about Link now. Either he gets to kill on even nights, or he may attempt to kill every night, but he may not always succeed. This would be where the old man's capabilities come in, to strengthen Link's sword, and increase his odds for a successful kill. Someone may have survived Night 1, and we wouldn't know.

No, but Baddies do, and by voting to kill someone who wasn't a main suspect n2 and d2, we reduce the chance that they get someone they predicted. They need the triforce to win, so lynching someone who's been off the radar is in our best interest.

Disregarding the point of the lynch to catch a baddie, wouldn't we be better off anyway? If say zeek is a baddie, it isn't likely that his teammates would put his name down and sarifice him. Even if they do, I don't think the Hyrulians would be the only ones to put his name down.

If you've got any ideas about someone else though, I'm willing to listen.

RIP MP. just got home.

My day started out to bad start. I was impressively 3 hours late to work, was super busy being the last day of the month, and then had to take my nieces and nephew trick or treating. On the plus side my visa was accepted, so I can make my flight home to England and keys in a month. :D

I'm finally getting to sit down and eat my first meal of the day, so thoughts later.

From what i understand they need to kill all 8 guardians and collect the pieces of the triforce, so hypothetically, they could win even if town out numbered them 6-1, which is why we need to prioritize them not getting the triforce.

Good point, I'm not sure how duplicate entrees would be handled.

Still, the point remains that the baddie team does have 3 opportunities to grab the piece of power, and therefore three different lynch predictions, I couldn't see a suicidal move this early in the game but it's still interesting.

As for the "point of the lynch is to catch the baddies"; just a thought, if we prevent the goodies from achieving their objective, do we even need to lynch them?

Also, current opinion of Zeek is wavy atm. Nothing solid, but leaning more negative based on just how i read him in comparison to this game and the only other game I've played with him. He's acknowledge this point, and gave a decent response, so i'm reluctant to vote him in case he is civvie. I very much doubt (assuming he is civvie) mafia didn't predict him to be killeded. Especially after killing MP.

Just so we're on the same page, I'm referring to the Hyrulians as baddies and Ganon's army as civvies. I know it's counterintuitive, but it makes sense in this game.

RIP MP. It would be great if we could lynch the Old man. I was thinking Hyrule would all choose the same person and push their lynch, but I do agree it makes more sense for them to choose 3 different people and each go after one. But I'm not sure lynching someone off-the-radar is the best way to go either. Why lynch someone who hasn't raised suspicion? Doesn't that seem just as likely to get another Hyrule? Also I'm not convinced Made isn't a baddie. Or goodie, depending on which way you look at it. The backwards thing is confusing.

Also, to address the comments earlier, I am not on a baddie team with sabie. I have no idea about her at this point. In fact she is doing things I find suspicious in hedgeowl. I just feel stronger about hedgie at this point. Although I really don't like her last comments that A Person only had two posts. ofc he wasn't posting a lot that's why he was replaced.
This post just read funny to me. When i said peruse, i didn't mean vote, just the kind of points i would of liked to of brought up.
Well, not much I can address with something reading funny to you. :p Someone had brought up a possible connection between me and sabie, so I thought better to address it. I was giving her more of the benefit of the doubt being newer and all. Whereas hedgeowl has more experience therefore I thought her posts were more suspicious. Clearly I was wrong about that. Like I said, the most suspicious comments to sabie, for me, were the ones where she was trying to paint a player as being suspicious for being quiet when they were replaced. I mean clearly a person who quit the game probably couldn't keep up, so why try to make it out like that is suspicious?
