Why do you think the indy tried to kill?? And if they had tried to kill an Overworld or Underworld character, how would we know who they were or who they tried to kill?
I don't have reason to believe that's what happen, but it would explain what happen N1 as the hypothesis that hyrule can kill without buying a item was proven false. In most games i've played, if a kill was attempted but blocked, it shows up that way in the night post. The fact that it wasn't mentioned either means no one tired to kill or that kill attempts aren't reported.

That sounds reasonable.

I have a couple theories about Link now. Either he gets to kill on even nights, or he may attempt to kill every night, but he may not always succeed. This would be where the old man's capabilities come in, to strengthen Link's sword, and increase his odds for a successful kill. Someone may have survived Night 1, and we wouldn't know.
This is a good idea. Seems reasonable to me.

I don't get this strategy. As far as I know, the goodies do not need the Triforce to win; just whoever gets it wins automatically as an indy.
No, but Baddies do, and by voting to kill someone who wasn't a main suspect n2 and d2, we reduce the chance that they get someone they predicted. They need the triforce to win, so lynching someone who's been off the radar is in our best interest.
Metalmarsh89 wrote:
Made wrote: While yes, they are our top suspects (based on vote received/general night time consistence)
I am?

RIP MP.

you, and Sabie recieved 2 votes, Llama received 3. It's more than most others.
But you're missing something here, Made. Civs wouldn't be any more likely than the goodies to guess someone who's not a top suspect; in fact, they may be LESS likely to do so, since they don't have advantage of spreading out choices like the goodies.

And also, SOMEONE is going to win the Triforce no matter what. If not by predicting who dies, then by winning the "describe a Night power" contest. So we actually don't have any way at all of even being reasonably sure a goodie doesn't get it. I think it's a bad idea to throw off our whole lynch strategy since that's the case.

Linki: Right. I just didn't see how an indy kill came into it. I don't think that happened, as Epi has never failed to report kill attempts in games of his I've played.

I don't think that's correct.

So...it is power you desire. Very well.

Describe to the Host the greatest Night power you have ever had...or the one you always wish you had.

“Is that all?” you ask? Ha! Of course not, fool!

In your private message containing the above, you may choose (or choose not) to grasp at the Triforce of Power and win it for yourself.

To attempt this feat, you must state who is going to be lynched on Day 3.

And then make it happen. :feb:
I think the operating phrase is "to attempt this feat". A player could submit a role they had, but then they had to claim to know who was going to get lynched in order to actually get the piece of power.

Ninja, you should seriously vote someone else.

I think one of fingers or MM is very likely a goodie, to answer your question, llama. I've been suspicious of fingers basically since we started playing, and I'd lean her, but MM has been taking some flak. He's seemed helpful to me fwiw, but who knows.

Tonight, I will be out partying like it's 2014 and I have three kids!

My intention is to have the posts ready to go so that by the time I get back in, I can post them. I just want everyone to be aware that the results will be later than they were last night. From then on, I will be able to gradually move the time back to our regularly scheduled time. Thanks.

I just don't see this. I think Epi will give it out regardless. But that's just me.

Also, for the record, I don't KNOW Boogs isn't a Hyrulean. He very well could be. However, as stated, I think we have a MUCH higher chance of getting a goodie if we lynch fingers or MM today, and of those I'm more comfortable with fingers.

I don't have a lot of time for a really good post I'm off to a concert. I'm skeptical of the hedge voters as well as llama. Llama was arguing against me without much to go on and Hedge voters don't have much to go on. I wish I had more time to post something better. Idk staying with my llama suspicion for now and I guess we will see how that goes.when I have time I will be looking at hedge votes. Voting llama

After Hedgeowl's lynch, he doesn't seem to have learnt from lynching someone purely because they're not all that involved. I won't deny I'm a bit cranky and that may have something to do with it, but I have to go to bed and I'm not completely feeling a Boogs vote right now. Though I think his point of the money game players is ridiculous. I
If you'll notice, I've pointed out multiple reasons why I suspect you. Then I happened to add that you haven't reacted much when I voted you.

I don't like all these hit and run votes today. "Oh I am voted and running away before anyone can question me about it." I'm looking at you Blooper and Sabie.

And Sabie, you never answered my previous question. You keep saying I went after you without a very substantial case. My question is Who HAS had a substantial case so far?

As our handsome host said, we will be out partying. Halloween is the only day we celebrate three days in a row :D Yay Costumes!

As for my vote (which I have to do now) I am going to go ahead and *vote boogs* I think Snow Dogs gut may be right.
Banners are cool, but a pain to scroll through so...
I've won a lot of games. I've hosted some games. The end.

You have a 0% chance of getting a hyrulian with me. I still don't even understand what I have done that you suspect. You voted me yesterday for incorrect reasons. and when I asked you yesterday about that post you said something like you couldn't even remember what you meant to say. It seems like no matter what I do you are just trying to find some reason to suspect me at this point. I'll keep addressing whatever you want to bring to the table against me, but if you really are trying to hunt baddies you are barking up the wrong tree.

I suspect her for pulling the "oh gosh, I'm so confused I'm new at this help!" ploy, when I think she has played too many games to justify it. I also don't like her drive by vote for me using the "I have to vote and run" ploy so that we can't ask her about it. I also feel like she's voting for me just because I voted for her.

Having said that, my original suspicion of her was in the context of Day 1 and Day 2 when I had nothing better to go on. There is more data today, and I feel better about my Boogs vote than I do about voting for her.

I am voting for Russ. When he said Splits was piggybacking MP, and it was pointed out to him that that was not the case, he was like, well, um, ok, but I suspect her anyhow.

Thats just weird, and not the kind of thing I expect to see from Russ.

i will be in and out of here the rest of the PM, so if anything better comes up, I might move it, but as of now, this is what most gets my eye.

Fair enough. I hadn't read back yet on you yet when I posted that, and having read back now, there's less there than I originally thought. So maybe you're not a dirty rotten do-gooder anyhow.

And maybe Boogs not getting the civ roles means he is a baddie, idk.

Maybe I'm just being ornery, but I feel like a lot of Boogs' votes today, like Hedge's yesterday, are just coming in BECAUSE there's a case, not necessarily because it's a good one. We're ending up lynching people just because we're talking about them, and that happens in most games, but it's bothering me more than usual at this point.

Oh, and to address S~V~S: If I were bad, making unsubstantiated, uncharacteristic cases would be the absolute fastest way I could get myself lynched, and I know that. None of the goodies want to be lynched that I can see. So I get your vote, but I'd surprised if you actually think I'm bad.

He actually DID answer it, he just posted in line within my post, I put it in highlighted and bold, in pretty color, the part I did not write:

I agree with giving more of a look at Hedge voters. It just seemed so drummed-up to me at the time, even before Hedge flipped civ.
S~V~S wrote:Russ, this was MPs first post about Hedge; he referenced Splints suspicions.

Very good question, sir! I'm not honestly quite sure yet, I'll have to think about it myself. However, I did wonder if there was a push to lynch you over Sabie due to saving a teammate OR whether a push to lynch both of you could have been bandwagoned by some baddies.

I also wonder if splints is onto something with Hedge's posts being all jokey too, that was a good point.
So this is saying MP jumped on splints' suspicion and not the other way around, right?

If so I think a harder look needs to be taken at MP. However, I still think the suspicion itself was a little out there, and I have been getting bad vibes from fingers, so I stand by that suspicion too.

Linki, MP is Alex

Voted MM. Because why not. I think he has an ok chance of being bad. llama hasn't really pinged me, so no use voting him, and this lynch isn't going on anyone other than llama or Boogs. Anyone who says otherwise is kidding themselves.

Hey so when the Day ends, if there are contests and riddles and such, can we all hold off on participating for like 20 minutes and do some strategerizing first?

Linki: Thanks for finding that, S~V~S. The quote fails this game have been rough for me!

Note: This is now the third day in a row that Elo and Snow Dog have voted the same player. The first two were lynched and flipped civ. Boogs may be next.

Whom did you two have in mind? I wouldn't object to a Dom lynch. His play is not at all like himself this game.

linki: SVS. I think Russ has generally sounded cool and collected this game. I wouldn't describe him as a hooligan, but his vote is weird and makes no sense, in contrast to the rest of his game so far.

What do you think SVS? After agreeing with me a couple times, this is his ultimatum.

Dom's votes were indeed silly, but those came on Days 1 and 2.

zeek's was actually somewhat calculated, and made me fell a bit better about him.

And one vote, when two others have 3-4? I don't see the issue here.
