The Case Against fingersplints (So Far)
I said before that fingersplints has played a significant role in every civ lynch so far this game, a charge she denies. Let's look at the facts:
- On Day 1, fingersplints did NOT vote Made, who was lynched. She voted AP, in a somewhat jokey manner. She voted him to see whether the vote-switching worked, and
left her vote on him without any explanation when she found out it did.
She did say this before the lynch train got rolling: "

Made throwing out three names makes me wonder. He just did that in the speed game as well. So is he trying to get those of us who played to associate him this game with Civvie him that game, or is he really a civvie? I don't feel strong enough either way as I think he is tricky to read.
To be sure, a noncommittal post, but one that I argue helped Made get lynched. I think voting AP was any easy way out of any responsibility for that, so she'd have deniability for just this situation.
- On Day 2, she went hard after Hedge, who she had mentioned a fair bit Day 1. She noted repeatedly that sable and Hedgie expressed confusion about the same thing, but said every time that she thought Hedgie was more suspicious for it because she had not posted on-topic as much. She dropped the 3rd vote overall, MP being the second. MP voted Hedge because of the points being brought up about her bygone other than fingers.
S~V~S wrote:Russ, this was MPs first post about Hedge; he referenced Splints suspicions.

Nice job, those who worked on the riddle.
Made wrote:Yo MP,
If you feel that d2 shouldn't begin with you, where do you feel it should begin?
Very good question, sir! I'm not honestly quite sure yet, I'll have to think about it myself. However, I did wonder if there was a push to lynch you over Sabie due to saving a teammate OR whether a push to lynch both of you could have been bandwagoned by some baddies.
I also wonder if splints is onto something with Hedge's posts being all jokey too, that was a good point.
Her vote was the second on Hedgie. Pretty open-and-shut that she was the conductor on this lynch train.
- On Day 3, fingers kept asking people about Elo, which she had done on Days 1 and 2. She'll say she had no part in the Boogs lynch because she dropped her NO U vote on me, but check this out:
fingers starts talking Boogs on Day 1, for being confused about the roles. fingers was very waffle-y on Boogs for days, and eventually seemed to decide he was more likely good,
but she made sure to keep dropping his name.
fingersplints wrote:So, does anyone else find it safe to assume Boogs isn't at least 8 civvie roles now, or he would have asked Epi how the overworld/underworld works? Not saying he is bad, it seems less likely to me anyways he is one of those roles.
fingersplints wrote:I'm a bit skeptical of all the confusion. Some of it may be genuine, but some baddies like to feign confusion in thread. I've done it myself loads of time.
fingersplints wrote:I also don't understand Boogs post there. But I'm still unsure if I think he is more likely a guardian or hyrule. Some of the weird posts he has made it seems likely if he were bad he could have cleared them up in his btsc.
Then on Day 3 her tone changed pretty dramatically. These are 3 posts in a row she made early on Day 3:
fingersplints wrote:I know I said early that Boogs if was bad could ask his teammates these things. But what if that is precisely what he wants us to think. And then I got to thinking. Boogs has made it pretty obvious he isn't underworld/overworld with his early remarks... So if he was a Civvie, why wouldn't the mafia have killed him already? If he is a guardian they need to take those out to get Ganon. So why take out MP who could be a vanilla Civvie still for all they know.
fingersplints wrote:and I agree ninja. "go civvies" comments tend to catch my eye. He seems to be reiterating it to make it stick

fingersplints wrote:One more thing about Boogs, and someone can correct me if I am wrong, but when he is a Civvie he seems to post stuff like "my kitty whiskers are twitching". When he was a baddie in the one direction game I don't remember him saying that, and he hasn't said it here. Can someone tell me who has played with him more if he makes cat references as a baddie too?
The best analogy I can draw here is that she got the train rolling, jammed a rock under the brake lever, and hopped the hell off. Again, a civ gets lynched, she gets deniability, and everything is peachy for the goodies.
Finally, to address a point that fingers seems intent doing this to:
fingersplints wrote:Dom wrote:Why
Kill svs though.
She was one of the only people who has also found Russ suspicious.
She is a good civive. Maybe someone wanted to take her out while she was afk

idk
fingersplints wrote:Russtifinko wrote:I will add that under no circumstances will I be voting someone who did submit a puzzle. Those include Dom, Made, MM, Ninja, llama, and zeek.
Also, I am nearly positive finger splints is bad, and will build a case before going to bed tonight.
You are positively wrong. Funny how SVS thought I was a civvie and thought you were bad enough to consider voting for you yesterday, and now she is dead.
I await your case to see what more BS you can come up with.
Buddying up to a confirmed civ, much? Only problem is the facts don't support your case. S~V~S initially thought my vote was suspicious, but she ended up acknowledging my point and dropping it. The full exchange below:
S~V~S wrote:I am voting for Russ. When he said Splits was piggybacking MP, and it was pointed out to him that that was not the case, he was like, well, um, ok, but I suspect her anyhow.
Thats just weird, and not the kind of thing I expect to see from Russ.
i will be in and out of here the rest of the PM, so if anything better comes up, I might move it, but as of now, this is what most gets my eye.
Russtifinko wrote:
Oh, and to address S~V~S: If I were bad, making unsubstantiated, uncharacteristic cases would be the absolute fastest way I could get myself lynched, and I know that. None of the goodies want to be lynched that I can see. So I get your vote, but I'd surprised if you actually think I'm bad.
S~V~S wrote:Lini, a good point, and well taken. It feels lazy, and we all know Hyrulians are not lazy.
S~V~S wrote:I unvoted Russ and switched it to Made. Not liking this turn of events at all.
So fingers is just straight lying when she says S~V~S suspected me when she died. The problem is, some people are starting to go for this baloney too! Even though it can be shown to be absolutely false.
sabie12 wrote:RIP SVS! It's always fun playing with you. I read her as civ. I know she was suspicious of Russ and Made. MP seemed to be suspicious of zeek and Llama with some speculation regarding Made. I've been voting llama all game so far. He is hard to read but is also super against me this game for some reason. Made also is difficult to read. Not sure where my vote will go exactly yet.
In conclusion, I'll refer to something I said earlier.
Russtifinko wrote:Maybe I'm just being ornery, but I feel like a lot of Boogs' votes today, like Hedge's yesterday, are just coming in BECAUSE there's a case, not necessarily because it's a good one. We're ending up lynching people just because we're talking about them, and that happens in most games, but it's bothering me more than usual at this point.
I'll be more exact now: I think votes are coming in because there are cases, and not because they're good ones, and fingersplints is the one putting them there. As MR, myself, and others have noted, the fact that she has caused
3 civs in a row to be lynched hasn't made her hesitant in the slightest to go after more, and she's not getting nearly the scrutiny over it that she should be. I'm voting her today, and I help the rest of you will look at the record, make up your minds on this case's merits, and join me.
