Television often bores me, so I have enjoyed the TripeHaven-Moonwink Theater Production that showed early on this evening. Quite lovely.

I’m better mafia than town because everyone thinks I’m suspicious all the time anyway. The way I think about things tends to not be like most people so what is just my normal suspicions don’t make sense to others. For the first year I played I was almost always killed but the civ vig when I was town. So I don’t think my read accuracy is much to write home about. I think I can take my town meta pretty easily as mafia though so I don’t know how much that helps you. I’ll look up a couple meta game examples for you in a minute.

I am more of an intuitive player, if the posts get crazy out of hand, I will struggle to keep up. I will never reach that 100 post cap. Also, I’m a slow starter. It takes me a minute to get my feet under me, but my activity increases as we go because I gain confidence. Not much of a shit poster.

Day 1 is Racket Appreciation Day, and as such will have a 100 post cap. Anyone exceeding this cap will be met with intentionally ambiguous harsh consequences.

There will be an event at approximately the halfway point of the day (exaxt time tbd). Discord is required, it will be fairly short, and it will be fun. Keep an eye on the announcement channel in discord for more info when it is available.

I have a BA in English Language and Literature. I retired from teaching this year after twelve years in the field.

Strengths as mafia? I don't snitch.

Weaknesses as mafia? Never saw any of the Godfather or Scarface movies.

Strengths as town? I taught school for twelve years, as mentioned, thereby strengthening the town.

Weaknesses as town? The ever-increasingly complicated federal tax code.

For me, the subtext of the ruling is rather that "only votes cast in poll count". I'm inclined to announce my vote, even if not necessary. Would be inclined to question votes cast directly in the poll (without reasoning), so a post would be used up for that anyway.

experience is prob somewhere around 40-50ish games across 2.5 years

strengths/weaknesses I can't really say, feels like I'm always changing ever so slightly from game to game

so what I will say is that a player I have played a lot with said recently that when I learn to trust my gut I will be "insane"

so I suspect I have a capacity to have a strong/good sense of things as town

thing is....that sense has not always been applied well lol (in one case even causing an unintentional gamethrow by my part entirely D:) and it has been in active development as of late

Oh and I have a heavy tendency toward in-depth thought and occasionally I will word such thoughts in a manner that renders it incomprehensible to anyone but me

I have not played mafia in three or four years and no plans beyond this game.
Usual MO was to post a lot, play serious, try to win. My mafia quality used to be hecking cool and sometimes get caught. My town quality was to be pisspoor and lose.
Read strengths usually bit shit.
Last year of playing I just chaos'd and dgaf'd - which I don't plan for this game, given its anniversary occasion.

What did you over-think over Moonwink about?

well last/only time I played with them I was hesitant on town reading them but was correct when I did

thing is large part of what I town-read them for back then, they're kinda doing a fair amount this game as if its just natural to them regardless of alignment

but I found something new that I feel points to town, and I'm not going to elaborate on my thoughts beyond that for now

I called it my proudest civ win, but honestly it is less pride and just that is the only game that stands out in my mind where my instincts were spot on, particularly with Elo. I think that in regular games where there is a couple days to talk things over and over and over, it really gives me too much time to waffle and lose confidence.

i lean a lot into early snap reads and they tend to be relatively accurate (probably more than you'd think).
