In mafia there is no best practice. There’s just people who think their way is best and people who have seen an abundance of styles work well and realise that you can’t science the game into an algorithm.

The reason I’m on a five game win streak as a deepwolf is that too many people think like you. I can beat ‘best practice’ every time but I’m fucked if I think I can beat SVSs gut.

and there is no best practice, no absolute best method, everything works to better or worse degrees. i figure my methodology works similarly well to the methodology and time which you come from

Nah, I’m not really a cocky wolf, I’m more earnest, although I do try to replicate my civ meta as best I can. That’s why I told sabi yesterday they weren’t going to get me elimmed. I don’t think a single one of my ogs would genuinely consider elimming me right now. The answer is in my signature.

And yeah I think that’s it. Different methodologies work great, but the best methodology is the one that works best for the individual. Our brains are all different.

I don’t tend to divide people into good/bad at mafia. I probably made that mistake early on in my career and didn’t recognise a broad enough range of skills. I reckon I got beaten by some people I underestimated.

Because regardless of your alignment you are trying and actively participating. I don't think one can accurately get a feel for a person's playstyle or personality in just a few short days od gameplay.

I’m a public lawyer, currently in the child protection sector, previously in the justice sector. But now im also a manager with portfolio responsibilities and no time to do actual research (I still do some).

I know a decent amount about jury reform and, yes, this is my idea but the problem is abolition of juries is quite unpopular lol.

If that would stop me from getting about 2 jury summons a season from my hometown that I don’t currently reside in, I’m in support of this initiative

The argument has been that Sean would have killed himself so the town would at least get the info from his claimed civ flip. There was an argument in the thread about whether a tie or a civ lynch was worse. Sean thinks a tie is worse.

You continue to misrepresent the argument even though I have clarified multiple times. It is getting to the point where I think it might be intentional.

Except I don’t know you are v. “Stronger player” is subjective and changes from game to game. I don’t have a ton of opinion on peoples play from games I mod. I am paying attention to those for problems.

Awesome, last night I was irritated, and decided to walk away and go shopping today instead. On a Sunday, a few weeks before Christmas. On Long Island, home of entitled assholes who all have road rage. Except in December, when they have even more road rage and a pair of stuffed antlers on their grille.

And after reading back some, maybe I made the right decision. Maybe Sabi is haunting me with the ghost of saltiness and irritation past. I wouldn't blame them if they were.

@Golden yesterday you and I convinced ourselves that a civ was bad and miselimmed them. We convinced ourselves of that because we thought they were steering the thread. Please don't tell me who to suspect, and that "someone else" is going to take care of it. Maybe they're not. Maybe Bea is the cop. Maybe the cop checked only civs. I don't want to rely on the cop, I want to rely on me. Also, I almost feel like you kind of tried to shame me a bit for suspecting who I suspect. Please don't do that. You know I loathe being steered.

I want to change my vote because I'd like to let her get going (or see that she fails to do so) before we elim her but I've got nothing else right now other than sheeping and I'm not about to sheep in my first game, the first vote was embarrassing enough. My vote on her was 'she's not being as loud or perceptive as people say she should be, maybe she's wolf'.
