I don’t like this question on principle
What's the principal. I think both townies and mafia deserve a chance to exclaim what they think they did was town-like.

Civs can explain their thought flow.

Mafia can explain their disguise.

You afraid to slip while doing so?

I think it’s too broad I think it’s more telling for people to tell you about the case against them.

I also have no clue how to answer.
Why am I Town? I want to maximize winning chances for town?

Sometime cases are just gut? I guess that's the challenge I propose?

How does a towny dispute gut and help dissuade a potential mislynch?

How does mafia dispute gut and help save thier skin?

So what actions have you taken that show you want to maximize these chances?

On Dom: I'm very bad at reading him. Idk if I've ever seen him supa town and maybe this causes me to default to him being bad.

On DDL: There's a theory in my head that a baddie DDL became discouraged following the creature lynch thus resulting in the lesser energy DDL. I normally relate civ DDL to positivity and high energy.

Sig and Dizzy: I don't think either of these two are bad. This one is a gut, but seeing how they are operating is very Town/Town.

ONE OF THOSE DAYS

Sergeant Bit walked into the interrogation room. We needed a little time to crack this guy but the others were growing restless.

"Alright, son," Bit said, "walk me through your story one more time."

"My name is Alexander Hamilton. And there's a million things I haven't done, but just you wait, just you wait!"

"Is that so," Bit chuckled. "How does a bastard, orphan, son of a whore and a Scotsman, dropped in the middle of a forgotten spot in the Caribbean by providence, impoverished, in squalor grow up to be a hero and a scholar?"

"The ten-dollar Founding Father without a father got a lot farther by working a lot harder," the suspect said defiantly. "By being a lot smarter! By being a self-starter!"

"And what are you now?"

"I am the one thing in life I can control."

"It must be nice, it must be nice to have Washington on your side," Bit said. "But who's going to help you now?"

"I will send a fully armed battalion to remind you of my love."

"That doesn't make sense," Bit said. "But around these parts, very little makes sense. Why should I believe your claim to innocence?"

"No one has more resilience or matches my practical tactical brilliance."

"That sounds more like ego to me, son. That's not going to win over any of your peers out there. What do you plan to say to them?"

"We gotta make an all out stand."

"Anything else?"

"Every day you fight like you're running out of time."

"Not bad. Let's go see if you can win them over."

Bit led the suspect out of the interrogation room and into the mob. He couldn't convince them to spare his life, so he accepted his fate like an honorable audio file. Before Detective Byte readied him for execution, the suspect made one last speech to his peers.

"You have no control- who lives, who dies, who tells your story. I know that we can win. I know that greatness lies in you. But remember from here on in History has its eyes on you."

"Nice pep talk," Byte said as he pulled the trigger.

As the suspect dissolved into a pool of normal looking source code, he whispered his dying words- "I am inimitable. I am an original."

Good:
Epi
TSP
Sloonei
Dys
Timmer
Sig

Bad:
Michelle
Mac
Wilgy
DDL
Sorsha
LC

This is one off. Move someone from the bad camp to the good camp.

If you don’t like someone in the good camp, fine move them down but then you have to move someone else up.

For the “never ask people to answer something that you won’t” philosophy, I’ll say that I’m pushing up DDL.

Alright let's do this again:

Day 2 (rough) post counts and impression score by player

47 - Dizzy - 2.5/5 - got into some fights, asked a lot of questions, said he would sheep Timmer
36 - DDL - 3.5/5 - had a CFD complaint at the beginning, then argued for lynching Mac, gave arguments for/against LC. Not much towards EOD.
35 - TSP - 5/5 - I internalize every word this man says
30 - Sloonei - 2.5/5 - Did some EOD stuff but more memorably pushed a case on DDL
27 - Epi - 2/5 - lynched Dom, agreed with me on Wilgy, is that it? Some catching up points
22 - Michelle - 2/5 - catching up, attacked Quin which was funny, threw out a few points
15 - Sig - 0/5 - don't remember anything
12 - LC - 2/5 - threw a random attack at Epi but then said he was town, voted for Michelle for a weird reason then like 5 other people
10 - Wilgy - .5/5 - asked me why I was town
8 - Timmer
2 - Mac
0 - Bimbo

Well this was just a true showing of townie activity I must say. Maybe I need to adjust my scale.
Does anyone think I have a wrong impression on impressions? cause I really don't remember much happening during day 2. I was busy though so I wasn't paying as much attention.

DDL and Sig are the main standouts I think. I really don't remember Sig having an input today at all.
Sloonei and others town reading him -- why?
I think there was stuff EOD day 1 that I didn't catch.

I am enjoying reading a game where people are forced to make assertions and shit against me based on nothing. I've not lived this long in a game I've lurked before. I can't promise I won't continue to.

I will however say that Sloonei and TSP pinged me. Epignosis also has some content that I was surprised to see was his. His tone is unusual.

Sloonei is playing quite within himself. I don't think he is a town voice. TSP 's post count list is pretty busyworkish. TSP where's your obvious town play?

Michelle I like. Sig and LC has this weird moment where they coalesced some equally unwarranted suspicion towards her which could be btsc leakage.

Tony apparently misidentified the replaced player. This post suggests that he thought Michelle replaced Sorsha rather than bimbo. We’ve got possibilities here.

1) Tony a town. This suggests nothing about either sorsha’s or Michelle’s alignment.
2) Tony is scum. This is a genuine slip, indicating that both sorsha and Michelle are not on his team (Tony would surely know if one of his teammates had been replaced).
3) Tony is scum, and this is a devious ruse. One of sorsha or Michelle is on his team (or perhaps both, but that doesn’t seem right) and he planted this “mistake” deliberately to draw us off.
4) Tony is scum, this is a devious ruse, but neither Michelle nor sorsha are his partners. He did this on purpose either as a “derp clear” or as a hardcore WIFOM move to get dopes like me talking about a non-issue.

LC points out the mistake and Tony playfully brushes over it. Is this a genuine response? Does it mean anything that Long Con is the one to notice it?

If I use all the tinfoil at my disposal, then I can argue that Tony and LC are partners, they’re all alone, and they concocted this minuscule interaction as a very subtle way to distance themselves from another while also either soft clearing Tony, or misdirecting our suspicions in the event that he gets lynched soon.
I don’t believe in that theory, even coming from two of the cleverest naughty boys we have here. It’s convoluted and the chances of anyone even noticing it are low. I‘d be more inclined to say that these two are distinctly not scum partners.

when are you going to start playing the game?
this belongs to the scum chat isn't it?

Fos for Quinn based on these 2 posts
Michelle replaced in at the start of Day 2.
Quin died at the start of Day 2.

It’s possible that scum Michelle would be unaware of her team’s nightkill. I think it’s slightly more likely that a civilian Michelle would be unaware of the nightkill though. Neither is impossible.

Michelle also made some posts speculating about Creature post-flip earlier in the day. She seemed to be aware that he had flipped, and I think I like that she was engaging people in conversation about the departed bad guy.

Well hold on. Michelle were you aware that Creature had been lynched and flipped mafia when you entered the game?

An interesting progression in Michelle’s posts: she gives a sprawling series of reads which results in a “GTH” preference to vote for Dom. She continues her catch up and finds reason to suspect Wilgy. About 20 minutes later, after more catch up by the looks of it, she places a vote for Wilgy before leaving for the night.

I like this progression and think it looks good for Michelle. I think a scum player in her position would be less likely to put in the leg work to come up with a new suspect after having already stated her intention to vote for a player that was in a position to be lynched (and the one who would end up being lynched, though the major push against Dom came after Michelle’s departure). She could have easily voted for Dom and ended it there. Instead she continued to catch up on things and came up with a fresh reason to vote for a new suspect in Doctor Wiggly J. Wilgy. Town read on Michelle.

Will give my rainbows and/or salads day 2.
This post seems unnecessary.

Phony indignation?
