This is what Mac listens to as he pulls the town's strings
I think the thing to remember here is that even if Mac is a lost wolf he doesn't actually know who his teammates are.
So if he's powerwolfing then he has to be actively making reads he knows are incorrect (or at least, ensuring a decent enough number of his team are skipped over).
Obviously you disagree with his read on you but how do you feel about the other players Mac is pushing? I think they're wolfy (Poison in particular). Do you think that there are any players who Mac is defending who are likely to be traitors? If so, who and why?
He has to do no such thing. All he needs to do is play the game with Mac's fervor, and if his reads are wrong (he's already lynched a townie), then how is he to blame given how little info the town has to go on? He's making his reads without TMI, this game setup is a huge benefit as Lost Wolf for a player of Mac's ability.
Ok but... I don't think any player can just win this solo even before we factor in cop checks, especially not one with a reputation like Mac.
Why is he powerwolfing here and not just powertowning? What is he getting out of this? What direction is Mac pushing the thread in currently that you disagree with besides scumreading you, obviously?
All you're telling me so far is that Mac is being loud and pushing his reads but I don't get the conclusion of that being wolfy.
Well for starters his towncore used to include both myself & Poison. He's flipped those reads, and I can say his read on me changed with no real thought fleshed out ITT, he said it was all the Page 6 Epiphany.
He outright lied about not knowing I was in the game. His read on Kaz also flipped with no real rhyme or reason, just more Page 6 which he has not explained at all, at least not that I've seen.
Had 112 previously as top town, but lists them in the mid range, and then pushes KG who has a whopping 13 posts cuz they're here for the memes? Go thru KG's ISO, see if that's the tone you get. Voted Cat, tho he says there's no reason to do so, kinda here by default as he put it.
Sorry, what has he done that's towny? Said we should keep a thread state that doesn't tolerate BS? Earth shattering revelation right there
I agree. Mac needs to do more then fake a no BS approach tbh.

There's a chance we might not even need Mac to be town here

I've already lynched a townie? I was like the last person to vote for cat.

Did they die? Where they town? Then yes, you lynched a townie.

How so?
whenever she speaks to someone it's like she's putting her hand on their leg. her sidling up to you in your argument with mac is gross, got the same buddying vibes earlier in the game, don't like the way she's attacking kza

I don't care about her attacks w/ Kaz, but I agree with you on her buddying up to me re: Mac

Would we feel more motivated if Marmot outed the guilty? I know some players get in a surge of WIM when they obtain info on someone's alignment.
My motivation would remain unchanged, but perhaps others would feel more incentivized?
Again, I don't see why town can't feel motivated regardless of the red check

I confess I'd feel a bit disappointed if the red check was on Auwt or Poison as both are a bit obvious traitor here, but anyone else feels like a good hit. Imagine if it is someone like MacDougall or Long Con.
Gira wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 9:04 pm
i don't see the point of withholding the red check, because you're not gonna get spew
I guess to encourage everyone to keep looking for stuff for most of the day
I don't see why town would stop looking for stuff, but ce la vie
sometimes people get lazy when there's outed Mafia in front of them
I know I would
i mean i get the conventional wisdom just don't think it applies here

also debatably there's value in having less reads out in the open so the anticop has less of an idea where to paint although that is again quite boring

Mac makes sense in light of Marmot not wanting to reveal so as not to kill thread participation.

We'll probably have to out the result before the day deadline and the anticop can act accordingly anyway.

Assuming daycop and anticop are processed at the end of the day.

what moves the needle from wrongtown Mac to wolf Mac for you?
considering Cat and I were the top wagons and we are both town, most of the playerlist had wrong reads on D1

It's the way he's pushing his reads, and the reasoning (or lack thereof) for his scum & town leans.
His "keep the thread BS free" isn't exactly cutting edge strategy, yet he seems to believe it lock town proof of his mayorship.
Also, you might be a traitor, so I don't know that most of the playerlist was wrong on D1.

I kinda don't want to go for Poison because they're semi shielding me which is a correct and not exactly consensus read
Also that post where they basically said WHAT ABOUT ME I VOTED CAT BEFORE MAC was townie at a base level

Do we ultimately know what role the Exilees are or will it be a surprise that would pop up if we send three of them there?
