Yeah but none of those people were yeeted
Bussing to my mind is voting to yeet your partner . The only one that clears somewhat to me is leetic/syn. Epi voted there to potentially save, and he realistically could have. That would make no sense in this set up.
Just randomly voting for a partner with no other other votes isn’t bussing imo.

I appreciate the effort Dai took on that post, but i don't really find it applicable tbh. Except that like I said I find it clearing for leetic/syn.
Hoping there is some consolidation. I'll pop back in to move if need be.

Re: Assassins in the Palace [END]
The End
Everyone is confused. Was falcon the assassin? Was Jay the assassin? Where is their monarch?
"THERE!" - a voice yells. Everyone looks to the source of their voice, and they are relieved to know it is Michelle, the King Queen.
"They are trying to escape!" - she yells, pointing at a person in a cloak running towards the castle's exit.
"Guards! Chase them" - the newly appointed guard captain, CRichard, gives the group orders.
"Wait!" - the queen interrupts him. Let them run.
The captain doesn't understand, but the older members of the court do. One of them makes a cruel smirk. "Wait for it..." - the queen says.
"The criminal keeps running, then she yells: "NOW!"
A guard pulls a lever, and a trapdoor opens under the assassin, dropping them into the crocodile pit.
The queen orders the guard to close the trapdoor, so they can't hear the screams coming from it. And then, she calls for a banquet, both to celebrate the victory and to mourn those who have fallen. The kingdom will once again know peace.
falcon45ca (Guard) was killed.
Syn (Assassin) was executed.
Queen Michelle and her guards have won the game!
Thanks for playing!

Re: Assassins in the Palace [END]
Woooo gg all!
What an interesting setup in that there were subtle hints thrown in to give yourself away as a guard. And most of those hints felt like obvious ploys to sound like you didn’t know who the king was. I can’t even really pinpoint them, but it was like…looking obviously guilty was a telltale sign that you were a guard lol
Good try Leetic and Epi! I thought we were gonna be screwed as we got into fewer and fewer people. I didn’t actually suspect either of you while playing, and I’m not confident I could if I played this setup again.
All hale Queen Michelle!

I’m glad we didn’t have to keep voting, not sure I ever would have come to leetic and Syn came in very towny.

Re: Assassins in the Palace [END]
So let me tell you an interesting story.
Back when I was still a newbie, with maybe 10 games under my belt, a player from my home site, Naruto Forums, invited me to play a mafia game in the site he owned, Captain Luffy (a One Piece site).
When I went there, I learned they didn't call them Mafia Games, it was Assassin Games. Then asking the people, I learned Assassin Games was this kind of mafia variation they played there, with kings and mafia having one-shot kills.
The game I played there wasn't like this one here, though. It was a bastard, role madness Assassin in the Palace game, with some questionable mechanics.
But the cool thing is that they had many variations of AitP, with different mechanics, named roles, etc. Basically everything we do here, but with the king/assassin/guard setup.
They also had mafia games, but it was not their main activity, it was more like the different thing they did when they wanted variety.
And it was only later, after checking other sites, that I learned AitP was an actual classic setup played in many places.
That site has been defunct for years, but for a while there was this bizarro negative zone where people play Assassin Games and Mafia is the cool creative toy they pick every once in a while.
I'm just telling this story because hey, maybe if anyone wants to come up with some Assassin-based role heavy or different setup, it would be cool.

Re: Assassins in the Palace [END]
Actually, funny thing is, the reason I joined this setup is because it awfully reminded me of my own. I made chess setup with symmetrical roles, 16 player, 8 pawns, 2 rooks, 1 king and queen, etc. You get it. In addition to night actions you can vote on who to promote and if the most voted person is pawn, they get a new role. Pawns are kinda Vanilla.Dragon D.
I'm just telling this story because hey, maybe if anyone wants to come up with some Assassin-based role heavy or different setup, it would be cool.![]()
Anyway, King role was meant to be only town Pawn innocent child with drawback of when it's killed mafia gets a queen which was even night vigilante. The problem with that was that when I considered King self destructing for the sake of overall picture, it could have ended in town getting 6 green checked pawns ready for promotion which just sucked so the King role had to be changed.
And then, Dai messaged me about this setup that closely reminded me of the core of my own idea and I was excited to see how it would play out
