We've actually needed to make a conscious collective effort to post less. So I really don't mind. I think the pace of this game is perfectly acceptable.
Ash, what do you think we should do as a town collective? Do you have a towncore you'd like to work with, and/or preferred pushes? I feel like you allowed your NANOOK scumread to fly past everyone without pushing it much further, for instance. Which is why I'm asking you about the direction you intend to take.

Yup. I was in a 4p MyLo with them recently and it was a nightmare for me. A fun nightmare, though.

kinda think arete/vul is t/t, pending more from arete obviously on their vul read and just in general

if they are t/t, then i think this game is quite sortable atm. the poe becomes relatively small from my pov

Dumb question; do the role colors mean anything regarding player strength? I'm accustomed to the differently-colored players on a forum generally being quite experienced.

I honestly think I needed to relax a little. Playing somewhere for the first time is always slightly awkward for me.
My tone is different from my last game, because I'm attempting a playstyle shift. I don't think my hyper aggro, volatile style that I've used for the past few games is very effective.

What's the PoE you're alluding to?

no they have nothing to do with player strength. they denote different groups

green like you and me is just a regular user

blue is a game facilitator/mod

cyan is the community team, which is kinda a mod

dark teal is admin

bright red is graphics team (though i believe its just lc)

every other color just means that the person is currently hosting some kind of game

LC is pretty epic if he's an entire team.
Anyway, we've kinda stopped solving the game. Hally, talk to me about your PoE. I don't think I have a confident PoE of 3 (or 4) at this point. I'm assuming 3 mafia, but 4 isn't impossible, right?

I'm surprised both you and Hally have this confidence that the game is pretty much solved. I don't feel that way at all. I have exactly one confident scumread, and my towncore has around 4 to 5 people, which isn't much in a 15er and which could've been infiltrated by mafia and/or 3p.

lc seems like town!lc to me. caveat us he said he would play differently from last game if he randed scum again. w/e. still a town lean

vul/arete is pending further interactions and stuff from them but i can’t help but tr vul’s posts here even if arete says he can do them as scum. the solving and moments of doubt and everything just read very genuine to me. if arete feels strongly at EoD that vul is just mafia, i’ll have to consider that though. and for arete, i think how they’ve approached vul seems pretty natural. i don’t get the sense they’re forcing themselves to read him one way or another. i also think vul reading arete town makes them more likely town regardless of vul’s alignment. would like more content from arete though

im keeping 112/ash where they are because i cant decide what i think of them. i need to iso them and try to get more clarity. atm idk if i actually have any issues with either of them or if im just scared of not being able to read them well and sponging people who sr them. tbd

This is pretty much how I currently feel as well. Then again, the lack of reads could be because she hates being mafia and attempts to hide the hatred by interacting with people (and potentially pocketing them in the process).

I dunno man. I feel like the game’s a mess. You and 112 are my strongest townreads and you’re busy trying to kill each other.

I don’t know wtf to do with Nanook. Everything he does screams scum to me but going by the reactions from other people who know him they seem to think he’s town and I’m just scumreading his personality. But he’s refusing to engage with me sensibly so I don’t know how I’m supposed to get there on him if I’m wrong.

Tutuu has sort of disappeared after declaring she was going to start playing seriously. I hope she comes back and sticks to that plan and gives me a chance to try and see better what’s going on underneath all the memes and randomness.

Michelle is still in catchup so I’m continuing to withhold judgement but the longer the game goes without town Michelle showing up the more I feel like it’s just not gonna happen.

I still have a bunch of players I need to sort but I mostly just need to give them time. Wilgy has posted once, Tony has only just caught up, etc.

If I could ask for one thing from other players like you it would be for them to prevail on Nanook and Long Con to engage with me and answer my questions. Right now I feel like I’m beating my head against a brick wall and making no progress.

I’ve locked in like four people, couple more I feel pretty good about, two that are either in a death tunnel or locked in tbd, either way is good...what’s not to feel good about

I feel like Ash's post just now is very mafia. "I do not townread anyone, you guys are aligning too closely together, I have to break you up." Could come from a discontent townie in theory, but every single take in the post is a somewhat hedgy suspicion instead of a concrete town/scumread. And that really bothers me.
There are also additional excuses for not having reads on the lower posters, which I deem unnecessary to include unless you're very self-conscious. And mafia are the ones who have to be somewhat self-conscious. Yadda yadda.

Sorry if you're town, Ash, but I really didn't like your response just now, for the reasons mentioned above.

I'm trying to engage with you; the post you just quoted was an attempt to do that. Why do you think me/112 are V/V? What makes you think we're townies butting our heads against one another?
Also, what is your take on the me/Arete thing? You don't seem concerned about that at all. (A part of me is tinfoiling that you are TMIng both of us town and that is why you are not concerned.)

Also, tutuu was in the thread just now. I don't think that saying she disappeared is a fair assessment. She's also one of the highest posters.
