cards on the table: i'm worried about foresight's defense of me being TMI
he seemed actively suspicious, if not enraged about the fact that i was refusing to out my reads in the early game
and even though a lot of the pressure i've faced today has revolved around that EXACT dynamic, foresight has written it off as "nothing" and downplayed the suspicion on me as being dumb
and like, it is dumb. but i don't know if foresight would organically think that given the reaction that he showed to my posts at the time - i do feel like it lacks a bit of internal consistency
I'm pretty sure you can find the exact moment my read switched if you ISO me. Dig that up if I don't first, lmk what you think when that happens.

there's 26 people here - i'm definitely not concerned about the thread being dead. and i feel like being coy right now :P
The fact should make you even more concerned. We have 26 slots to sort, chop chop.
You may be feeling a bit of extra urgency if these phases are shorter than you're used to. This is a relatively slow start, but I'm not concerned about the pace. It's the weekend, we have four active games on this site right now, lots of people just don't seem to be here right now. They'll show up.
I couldn't care less about the people that aren't here. Someone is here and is actively choosing to keep the game slow.
i would argue that my choice to not immediately share my two early townleans is provoking more conversation than it would if i had chosen to share them immediately
i just dont feel a sense of urgency about this game, in all honesty. the majority of people not posting on a sunday does not concern me - there's still a lot of time

I've played this game for 11 years, and I've very very rarely see two readslist formatted so alike. Each person has their own unique way of formatting their readslist, like a personal signature, and the BK readslist and the foresight readslist were formatted identically. When two signatures from two different people are identical I start to think one is a forgery.

Uh no but let me explain in a different way:
If Urist means the things he says, he should come to the conclusion that we should chop LC
But that still doesn't mean that we should chop LC. It just means that you townread Urist.

"martin doesn't have BTSC because he doesn't know who foresight is" is a bad read since I doubt the scum BTSC is filled with discussion about the etymology of foresight's name
however, martin has given me no cause for concern thus far, and seems fairly textbook town martin to me.

"Foresight" is the single most common nick I've gotten so far. Even if my earlier BTSC theory was pure tinfoil, my name sure came up in BTSC soon after. Way too many ways he would know, way too few ways he wouldn't.

I'm unsure about Bo on the basis that it seems intentional for him to have done that to get attention to himself but I have no clue for what purpose that serves
his tone feels odd in a null way tbh and I feel like saying TWTBAW but then I don't want to call this towny (and reward it as such) behavior
other than that no comments

i think alison is considerably townier in this game than she was in bread mafia, btw. that's a huge part of my basis for my townlean on her
why am i townier?
bump
I am fairly aware of my own play and how townie/scummy it is and I don't think there's a marked jump in towniness
Do you feel SPF is being false?
that would depend on her explanation wouldn't it

"martin doesn't have BTSC because he doesn't know who foresight is" is a bad read since I doubt the scum BTSC is filled with discussion about the etymology of foresight's name
"Foresight" is the single most common nick I've gotten so far. Even if my earlier BTSC theory was pure tinfoil, my name sure came up in BTSC soon after. Way too many ways he would know, way too few ways he wouldn't.
I don't see why you're so certain about this
this is honestly a bullshit read and you're back to being just scum for trying to force narratives like this

Bruh
Well, actually talking to you about this read will probably be aimless, but you should at least show me the scum motivation, and how this isn't purely a playstyle conflict.

the most obvious motivation is that you have TMI on martin being town and are trying to pocket him with a quick and strong townread

oh i forgot to respond to this
it's actually a little bit hard to explain - the difference is really just in how methodical your analysis is
like for example, this is how you responded to me in bread mafia when i asked you for your read on me:

alison what made u go from scumleaning me to townreading me? the progression was pretty swift
I'm sorta null on you atm. My reason for scumreading you was that you seemed a little too quick to townread Dk even though you repped seeing them as a really scary scum player who you'd be paranoid to townread too easily. You had an okay response that shows you've put some thought into how scum!Dk would act here, which is congruent with seeing them as a strong scum player. So that soothes most of my concerns with your townread on Dk.
You haven't really stood out as town the way I know you can, but the biggest actual concern I had with you was satisfied, so I'm just nullish on you right now.
it's a fine post, but it's also very A to B to C. your intent was probably to get me off of your back
here's a post from you in this game where you described your read/opinion of me:

@Sloonei I think your points make sense and I like them
I wanna ask about something else now though which is, I'd rather move on from this at this point (which maybe is a bit selfish because I understand your point and don't need to talk about it more while others might) though, because I think it'd be better in the case spf is town to not push it for the next 28 hours we have, and still useful if she's mafia anyway
This is me saying I think SPF could be mafia but I also want to find her town, and if you wanna do the same our way to do that right now is drop the push until tonight imo
as I made this post like 5 other people said something similar which makes me uncomfortable, though
my take on SPF is that as much as she would like to pretend to be a tryhard player who brings energy to the game she's not-so-secretly in it for the fun of interacting with people she enjoys playing with, which is why her play amps up when she gets to play with hally tutuu etc., and because of this she routinely tries to engage the thread as a whole with high-effort stuff like reaction tests, asking for thoughts on X and minigames (GTH games, trust falls) as either alignment. I've seen similar patterns of behavior play out even when SPF is town where she does something "tryhard", doesn't seem to have the conviction to really fish for reactions or scum thinking behind it, and gets scumread for not contributing enough or not having authentic enough solving.
the upshot of all this is that I don't really see much of her play up until this point as being really powerfully indicative of alignment. it's just bread and butter SPF stuff. if mac or sloonei does a reaction test and there's no bite behind it then maybe someone's a wolf. but if SPF or tutuu does a reaction test and there's no bite behind it then they're just being their usual high energy high participation look at me selves.
in both cases, your stances are the same (SPF null), but the way you speak about the read is considerably different
in bread mafia, you were content to nullread me and then let me fall into the POE - that was the extent of the "solving" you did for my alignment, save for a few softball questions
in this game, you are content to nullread me, but your nullread comes with highly specific conditions (ie: "spf can be inno child in a couple of days", "spf is being pushed on for similar reasons to bread mafia"), and most importantly, your nullread on me is not the
end of your attempts to solve me. i've noticed a similar dynamic with your reads in this game in general - they feel considerably more fluid and thoughtful, as vague as that might come off
i can expand on this further if you really want

@staypositivefriend to clear something up I couldn't have been TMI'ing you since my issue was with the merit of Sloonei's case, not because it was on you specifically
what's your read on me
good enough
nice

boknows, a couple of things:
-can you explain your townread on me?
-can you explain your scumread on poison?
-can you explain your scumread on long con?
-how did you get enough confidence to make an entire reads list when your solving up until this point has been non-existent? why didn't you post any notes or thoughts inbetween you fillering and you outing that list of reads?
Yeah sure
Yourself: I like the questions you've been asking all game long. They aren't just wall questions that I would post if I'm a wolf but actually meaningful questions that can help us solve the game.
Poison: Very passive game from poison (I know the irony). I feel that there is no urgency to their game. It seems like Poison is just trying to post enough to not be labelled as a slacker but not going into depth in their posts.
Long: Long is giving me "drive-by" wolf vibes. They pop in make a quick comment, agree with a player and leave. LongCon isn't in a rush to make a rush difference it seems like.
I just made the list cause why not. I'm already sussed so what do I have to lose.
this looks like the exact same reasons for Poison and Long but one is a wolf cause of it one is a town
I'm sorry I scumread you back there. I take it back, this is nice and towny.
