If you're asking for my thoughts on cbob, I just looked through his posts and I'm pretty neutral on him. Lots of comments on setup and mechanics, which is generally something I look for in scum, but is more understandable in a game like this. I'm not sure how genuine his suspicion of Mac is coming off to me. As I've already said, I find that case to be pretty pedantic, maybe moreso from Jay than from cbob, but still, I don't think there's much to it. There are elements of OMGUS going both ways between cbob and Mac, and of the two, at this moment I'm more confident in Mac being town.

That said.... If any role were likely to have badguyia background homeland, it would make sense that it would be the shaman. shaman are almost always recruited in enemy territory during later chapters

This is the first time I’ve played mafia going to bed early and waking up for work has been a concern, and let me tell ya, Mafia is not conducive to that.

BTW, since we are already demonstrating that we’ll screw up the vote tally and the GM definitely should keep track independently, what about including a tag-word any time a person votes so they can ctrl f them all easily? Something that we wouldn’t say in any mafia context, like “asparagus.” Just a random thought I had right now

Sure. I'll give you the individual explanations and the philosophy, because some people have asserted here that strong Day 1 reads are impossible (the silliest shit).

dunya - As I said before, I have never, with one possible exception, seen a mafioso who fits her paradigm in this game. If all these factors are considered: the pace of the game thread, her place in it, and the degree to which she leads the post count, there have been zero examples in my Mafia life to my memory. I know people have said things like "but I dominated a thread once as a bad guy!" or "mafia love to be in control!" -- they're not understanding me. I have done that shit too. This is an echelon above those things. I've been all over the Internet and played a crap load of games and I have seen it once [arguably] from a player who is not in this game. She looks to me like an obvious civilian, and the very sort who will be subject to a bunch of silly unfounded tinfoil during her time here. I know how that feels better than anyone.

Kylemii - I think he has one of the most recognizable town styles there is, and he looks exactly the part. More accurately, his style would apply to "non-scum" roles and work for independents too, but those don't exist in this game. This is a meta read, and it is a strong one. I think his posts would simply be of a different character, probably more stiff and fewer in number, if he was mafia.

Dragon D. Luffy - His hunting effort is the most genuine in appearance of anyone in this game, in my opinion. I have felt good about pretty much every game-relevant comment he has put in this thread even when I don't necessarily agree.

colonialbob - This read is similar to DDL, if not necessarily as strong given the lower contribution rate, it is of the same character. When he has put reads in the thread, he has exhibited a tone and a mindset that reads sincerely to me on a consistent basis.

The lighter green names have each done at least one thing that looks civilian in character to me or are otherwise beneficiaries of context even if I cannot state those reads with the same confidence.

Philosophy:

Too many damned civilians are wimps. Make fucking reads. Be assertive. Believe in yourselves. But but but what if I'm WRONGGGG???????!!!!!?!?!?!? Who gives a shit? It's Day 1. There's a whole game in front of us. If I'm wrong about someone, I have plenty of time to figure that out. State your reads in the moment as you come upon them, and believe in the inspiration that put them in your head.
