I've only played one game with Guillo, he was scum, and what you bring up feels entirely NAI for him.

That said, if I had to compare one game of scum meta to this game so far, I'd lean him being Town too. He was a bit...more shouty/aggro in his exaggerations in the scum game (Spiderverse I think), whereas here he is just sorta firmly stating his takes.

I searched my own name to fill my ego, and you are the only one who mentioned just me in a post before I started posting. And also thank @Marmot for the signing up appreciating that I am playing. I have not played Mafia in a while, but I do remember enjoying both of you two.

One of my weaknesses is playing a 20+ people game, let alone 33 people, though I only counted 32 players showing up in the Discord server, but it feels like an honour to participate in a yearly champ game. If anyone has good advice how to play day 1 in such big game... i wanna play a good town game finally again, and solve and lynch the scummies.
I agree keeping up with a game this huge is hard at first sometimes. I'm a bit out of practice as well but trying to get back into having another good game for once. I'm pretty sure no one ever would have picked me for a scum team because I haven't had a good game in a long time. Hoping to change that though.
Scum pick their own teammates this game? Is this for real?

I think once we have a couple outed wolves we would have more info on whether they seem like chosen teammates vs chosen roles. In catching up I see Alexa was involved in two of the more notable interactions. The nutella thing I don't know that someone would have role info day 1 but if they did I guess it's plausible they didn't know if the role was town or mafia. The paopan thing to me sounded like Alexa was legit confused about why paopan said what he did. Paopans post was weird and confusing and he didnt explain why he said it but it seems like maybe he chose players he kinda remembered to see what thr response would be.

Scum can pick roles or players. If I had to pick, I’d definitely pick roles. Seems way more powerful, and picking people just seems like a ehhhh kind of mechanic. But that’s just me.

Picking the mafia team was done once at PerC in a game where the IC was mafia. Yeah. Think about that lol

In the OP it explains that mafia either chose their team or their roles. Plus there has been a lot of discussion as to which option is the better play. Some people were trying to speculate who they would choose for a team if they could. I think choosing roles sounds more advantageous.

Maybe. But of the few posts I looked at that is the one I remember as hitting as genuine rather than fake. I could be wrong, but I’m also often not wrong in early impressions. I just talk myself out if them later and crumble.

I think there is a good chance Dyslexicon is scum this game, but I don't want to make the mistake to tunnel vision day 1. So I just will try to read more players, and because EOD is at midnight for me, I am always here at EOD and I can wait with voting until later. I have no idea if it helps to speculate who would pick who, but I always believe the best way to scum hunt is to read someone as either scummy or not scummy

I mean I'm basically agreeing with you just not for the reason you brought up (being unnecessarily flowery about destroying wolves etc).

I always get 100% of my early impressions correct because at some point in D1 I think everyone is towny for something and then scummy for something different. So at some point I'm correct on everyone!
