Theories
1) Baddies include one or both of dunya and wolbre
2) Baddies want us to lynch one of dunya and wolbre
3) Baddies saw Epi's performance in GoC and are intimidated by him generally
4) Baddies just want to screw with us
5) Baddies don't know what is up
Anyone want to rank these theories?

Nova, townish. Epi, sig, town. Those were my reads. Again, check ISO.
I don't like the Colin push. I think it looks more like people jabbing a frightened animal with a long stick than real baddie hunting.

Number 3 can include Epi's reputation generally, but GoC specifically limits people who might have seen it.

Let's see... Dom and sig got into a thing that I avoided as much as possible...Epi was a little weirder than usual... dunya took some suspicion earlier, but had a lot of apologists... sometimes it was hard to keep up. Some of the hardcores can probably help you more.

Okay, I got distracted during my catch-up -- by a million students coming into my office, grading projects (still in progress), and other things. End of semester + dissertation + other stuff makes for a busy schedule. I'm going to be a relatively crappy player until sometime next week. Sorry folks. I'll be back in here with updated thoughts when I can.

Yeah, LC is probably bad. Planting a flag.
This is exactly the response I expected from someone. Before you go with that, find an option that I actually haven’t listed - I can’t control the narrative when I put every option on the table.

Tell me Mr. Con. Are you in this game for the fun of it or do you actually care to win? Because I've not ever won a full game on The Syndicate and I am very keen to buck that trend.

More evidence suggesting I don’t have a clue why Syndicate scum teams kill who they do.
I don’t expect anyone to take this at face value but I wouldn’t kill a player that’s particularly likely to get mislynched. I’m sure there is a logic of sorts to that kill but I don’t get it.

As easily I can:
One benefit of voting off-wagon is that it gets the town to think about other candidates, especially if they're someone who has flown under the radar with regards to that lynch. That's the primary reason I decided to follow my gut about lunalee.
Another benefit would be forcing a potential scum to defend themselves. I think other people have sprung to lunalee's defense, so this doesn't seem to have happened too much. But it's definitely something that happens regardless of the context of the vote and it's useful for the town.
A third reason that didn't occur to me at all yesterday, but I can see now, is seeing how people respond. You learn about other people's playstyles and what they consider scummy and you can get a lot out of that to help you with your reads. I'm learning more about the people who are voicing suspicions of me and I'm interested to see who doesn't.
I can understand why people think the
timing of my post might be suspicious, but I'll have to politely ask you to disregard that. I would have made the same vote, after reading lunalee's posts and the rest of the thread, if I were able to, but I was at work and barely got my vote in on time anyway. I know you have no reason to believe me there, but it's the truth.
OK. This is reasonably fair. I'll also say better that you made a vote than made no vote.
After Epi's death, I feel even more than I did yesterday that there may have been zero votes on mafia and there was no real pressure at all.

Meh. I think killing Epi links it to no one. That’s the only basis for the kill to me, as well as avoiding the doctor (I think there is one of those in this game). Like, he’s the one of the least obvious kill choices mafi would make.
Also why would they be “frustrated”? It’s not like he was making waves in the civ department.

Hey @MacDougall what voice should I be reading sloonei's posts in? It's like a rollercoaster
An evil one.
Sloonei's defense is okay if not a little over the top sounding. Basically he rationalised his play exactly like I figured he would so it changes nothing about the read but there's nothing in it to object to specifically.
Who is your top suspect independent of me?

Sounds like an Epi voter kill to me. They almost lynched someone it's typically very difficult to lynch so they offed him out of frustration.
How many mafias get frustrated Night 1 after a townie lynch?
how many mafias avoid spontaneous decisions on night 1?
I don't know what this post means. What does this post mean?
Also who voted for Epi and how do they all look individually?
