I still can't get over what happened in Shadow Corridors while you weren't around.

The great thing about Mafia that a lot of people forget is that it's a team game. We're not reliant on one person to solve it all.

My role on the team is the mosquito buzzing around the towncore's ears distracting them and challenging their ability to concentrate. It keeps the townies from being complacent. I take this role seriously.

Please. Old hat for me. On my home forum I'm 8 hours time difference from everyone else, and have woken up many a time to find myself dead.

I will note that I have no objections to the consensus townreads as far as I see them. Albeit I'm not in sync enough to know for sure how the game 'feels', I don't feel like anything's wrong.


(Of course the flip side of that is since there are strong townies working together, I have little motivation to push myself to do more, at least beyond making sure I can't be a mischop for the wolves.)

I think guillo would be a lot preferable to made in most teams, if one of them has to die guillo probably has a better chance of being in it for the long haul

I mean, just look at the thread state and tell me scumMade had a better chance to go deep than scumGuillo. I think it was probably fairly clear that made was not going to make it to endgame in a way that can’t be said about guillo.

So yeah, if made and guillo are both mafia and are the two leading wagons (they were at 6-5 pretty late in the day I believe, correct me if I’m wrong), I think it makes perfect sense they’d try to push off of guillo. What’s the downside, assuming radish is town? Either made dies and guillo survives, an outcome I think is objectively better for most scum teams, or radishes dies and they tie up another day.


I don’t think there are many worlds where scumGuillo and scumMade are both up and push onto scumRadishes, fwiw.

In a world they’re both scum, made didn’t switch to make sure he died, he switched to make sure guillo didn’t die

i don’t know how unlikely it was that radishes would go over. my vote was parked on him and tony’s was too. and then i think marmot switched. then sean and made went. so it could have been 5-5. but then as they were doing that i brought the hammer down on made after previously not being itt. i doubt scum saw that coming/thought i would move my vote before EoD. so i don’t know, from their perspective maybe radishes was actually viable once marmot switched. i need to go back and look at it all

I’d place Guillo over Radish though, based on Made’s switch off of Guillo. This stopped being funny a while ago. You are mafia siding right now. As you say, this is a team game, and we need everyone on a team to work towards our wincon. You’re a great town player and I don’t see why you would demonstratively troll and contribute so little if you are town. We have a scum down. This game is solveable. It just looks like you are mafia and over it.

All I wish is that if you’re town, you put some effort into this game on town’s behalf, because you’re good at it. I’m not seeing that, so chances of you being mafia skyrockets for me.

Guillo hasn't really stuck out to me one way or the other. But I think I have a tendency to focus on a couple or a few players and ignore everyone else. Guillo's in my everyone else category.

also, both people who have expressed interest in voting elsewhere (sean and made) are voting guillo, so any shift in votes will go guillo -> radishes not made -> radishes. and all that will do is make radishes made’s counterwagon instead of guillo, which w!marmot shouldn’t care about unless the team is exactly made/marmot/guillo and radishes is town. but in that world, why doesn’t marmot just stay voting made so when made flips marmot gets cred?

also again, this move doesn’t put made out of danger. it just makes radishes the counterwagon over guillo, but made is still in the lead comfortably. even if i switched back to radishy, which from an outsider’s pov i think was reasonably likely, all that would do is tie it. so this doesn’t really do much

also, if i had switched back to tie it, marmot had already expressed he would switch back to made to avoid a rand. so it doesn’t really seem like radishes was in danger of going over unless i switched back at the last second and didn’t give marmot a chance to switch in time

but the thing is, even if made is w/w with radishes he can’t switch off radishes regardless. when he voted radishes that close to EoD and made radishes his counterwagon he committed to the bus. in the world they’re both wolves, he cannot unvote radishes a minute before he’s about to flip unless he wants to sink radishes too

so it’s really up to me on whether it’s a tie, and i clearly expressed i didn’t really want to go back to radishy. so i think it’s reasonable for made to assume here that he’s going over and not radishes. but before i made this post, i think i easily could have switched back to radishy and made marmot the decider, and he presumably shifts back to made. so it would still be made going over. so yeah, i dunno. it seems unlikely made would think he was ever not going to be the chop over radishes or guillo

i disagree. i just played a game with him on MU where we were both town and he was more involved than this. and that was a bigger, more active game than this one i think. also i think he’s off from teaching right now? but anyway, i think he could be more engaged here if he wanted to

yea, the MU game was a 15er with 500 more posts D1 than this one and radishy still managed 60 posts, more involvement and a scum case on someone. i don’t really believe he can’t be any more engaged than he has been here. i think he just doesn’t want to be

granted, he was mostly trolling for the first part of D1 that game. but he definitely picked it up and started doing stuff by EoD. that D1 was 72 hours and it took place over christmas, so i don’t think he would be more busy now than he was at christmas time. but i don’t know his life really

i don’t know, i don’t really think how busy he is seems like a very relevant question here. it seems pretty clear to me that he simply doesn’t want to do things right now with whatever time he has to play and would rather troll instead. that’s a conscious choice he’s making. and i don’t think it’s because he’s busy

So I’m just keeping radishes clear for today, I’ll reassess after a guillo flip if necessary but I honestly just think he’s town regardless at this point

i feel i should think that radishes’ trolling is more likely to come from his town game, because generally that’s true ime. but something about his trolling this game feels different to me. usually when he trolls it’s for his own amusement and then he kind of pulls back if others are bothered by it i think. but here i don’t feel like he finds his own trolling amusing? because it’s not really playful, it’s just him being all “i’m not doing anything.” and he’s doubling down on it in a way that seems like he almost wants to spite us or is just over the game or something. i don’t really know. i just feel something about his energy is not the same, but i could be crazy

this is definitely closer to how he generally is as town than his scum game, but it almost feels like a poor imitation, as though something is missing that gives him that radishy pizzaz he usually has

i think ultimately where i land on radishes is he will have to start posting better or we’ll have to chop him at some point. that’s pretty much it. if he’s town i trust him to get into the game and clear himself eventually so i’m not gonna focus on him. he will do what he wants when he wants to and if he doesn’t or we don’t like what he does we’ll just vote him out and that will be that

i kind of just want to get tony next day, but i also think it’s not impossible he’s town here and i’m just failing to read him accurately. because my read on him is not really reliable generally. but i don’t know who else i would vote over him, is the thing

these are really the only people i can readily see being wolves here. i guess if there’s a deeper wolf it would be marmot maybe? but i think that he would only make sense in specific worlds. i kind of just think everyone else is town
