I fully expect Keith to not claim. I support that decision, and it’s why I’m now 100% convinced he’s scum.

The only way a scum would be brazen enough to fakeclaim, though, is if they know they won’t be lynched. (I would think, anyway.) So whether we want to use the lynch to confirm that ... idk. I don’t know where we sit numbers-wise if we change the phase-patters until LYLO like that.

Ok, if you're Keith Shover and you're in my shoes with a 4 to 2 to 1 lead in the lynch poll and every player except for one voicing an interest in lynching you, what do you do?

Argue the point differently so you’re not throwing the only defense we have away. I wasn’t even that far behind you in the poll before your claim. It wasn’t necessary.

I've got plans tonight and might not be around for the EoD, so I played it safely on the off-chance y'all thought it'd be good idea to lynch me, especially after almost doing so yesterday. I'd prefer not to have claimed, but I'm hedging my bets because I don't know if I can defend against it.

I also need to actually do some work today, not play mafia all day lol.

I don't see what you see. If I am in Marmot's shoes and know that I won't be around the game later in the phase, I probably do exactly what he did. Even if I do know I am going to be around later, I don't want too long to claim, because I cannot know how many people will be present in the end to move their votes.

In the absence of a counterclaim, I don't think there's a good reason to doubt Marmot.

Colin I had a strong townread of on Night 1, and I liked his effort.

I protected Kyle Night 2 for similar reasons, and his Day 1 vote of Choutas was the best looking one. I was confident he was town.

I would have protected someone last night, but I was out on a camping trip and couldn't make it online to do so.

I am not a “cart-before-horse” style player so I don’t hunt for teammates until I have one confirmed. And I don’t have time right now for a complete ISO but I did see interactions between he and Dizzy that felt strange on his end. I would have to do an analysis on Dizzy’s posts to guarantee that.

I think the two players emerging from the Choutas lynch who looked the best, at least in that moment, were Kyle and I. Why not us on Night 1?

I don’t think she has the same motive that Marmot has to fakeclaim. Lying at this juncture for her would be bizarre. By the same token, I would have definitely not made myself a target like that, though. It’s all bizarre to me.

To answer your question, I can see chalking this one up to a difference of playstyle that I simply can’t for Marmot, given his motive and the facts of this lynch.

To answer your question, I can see chalking this one up to a difference of playstyle that I simply can’t for Marmot, given his motive and the facts of this lynch.

What makes you think Marmot fake claimed? Would you say you are VERY sure of it, or is it just a possibility? Cause unless you are VERY sure, I don't see how that makes sense for Marmot to be faking.
