NIGHT 3

Ah, I see you're trying to please me. No more broken windows around this joint. Good, good.

SIG has vanished!

Now, right this way! I'm taking us back to the B.C.E. times, to the magnificent Empire of Greece!

Well, not really 'empire.' We're further back than that. I think... ah, my watch says negative 792 is the year. Can anyone spot me on that?

Oh, right, you have old, boring watches. Not synched up with the molecular decay of the sun, or whatever false advertising Rolex is giving us in the year 4450.

What?

Why are you...

Ah, yes. The purpose of tonight's venture. Well, you see that man writing over there?

Image

No, not that one, that's a statue of Homer. I'm talking about that one.

The man writing over there.

Image

Yes, that one.

He is currently jotting what will be the only note records of Homer's famous play, the Iliad. And he's about to fall asleep.

And before he does...

Image

You know the drill. Who wants the quill? Vote who you will.

And yes, I know that the earliest manuscript of the Iliad is nearly two millenia forward from now. We're changing history, you numbnnuts.

Welcome to Ancient Greece! You have 24 hours to get your night actions in. There is an election, in which you will vote for players to receive the INK QUILL! Night ends on Sunday, at 11:15 EST or slightly earlier if the night actions are in and the election is decided and speedchuck is tired.

I don’t even understand the concept of finding it suspicious that I’m not pouring out my guts to force someone else to vote sig. I’m accused of being self-centred and egotistic enough already. I’ll do that sometimes, but not all the time. Sometimes someone else can do the work.

This isn't a matter of "trust." This is a matter of 100% confidence. If you are 100% confident in someone, you two should facilitate a lynch.

You two haven't done that at all that I've seen.
Why?
I have no idea why you and Scotty haven't done so.

Golden wrote: Sun Jun 24, 2018 12:00 am You do actually - I remember you trying with SVS in the GoC.

But you are mr mysterious don’t share your working. It’s not like you are poster child for ‘transparent Effort’

I’ve no idea what you find odd about it.
You said I've tried with S~V~S and now you're saying I'm not transparent. Which is it?
Yeah, I’ve seen you try. So I know you can.

But mostly - no. When one tries to make such a transparent effort with you, it fails. You’ll always choose to do your own thing.

Which btw I take no issue with, but don’t come in here with a completely false and ludicrous argument about how trust makes townies behave.

No. Why would we do that?

Why would we not just each make the cases in our own heads. Why would we ‘work together to facilitate a case’

You keep saying we should. You can’t answer the question of why we should.

There’s nothing town-leaning about acting as a hive mind.

I would love getting the item myself tbh.

But I’m not in good standings with everyone so I’m doubtful. It doesn’t relate to my role either
