If I were Mafia, I'd either tell them to vanillarize some rando and probably not give back a scumteam. If someone were less experienced, they might give back a fake scumteam (with the issue that the other couple of players would likely be cleared/killed given the alignment of the first). Or you could have two townies and one scum on the fake team, with a suspicious townie on the roster so people suspect we were given a bad list on the first ML (which would partially clear the rest of the team.

okay i'll talk about why i think hyena is a villager in that case.
hyena's play this game has been fixated on things he always does as a villager; he tends to make posts to reaction test people, he tends to vote randomly, and . to say the very least, this often gets hyena wolfread for doing random stuff like this, but to say the very least, there's a method to his madness. he always has an objective whenever he makes a post as a villager.

also going to say this post in particular made me close to locking in my v read on hyena. mist also thinks it's a good look, but not quite clearing. regardless, we both strongly townread him.
as a wolf, hyena tends to be more fixated on saving his partners more than anything else; he goes for risky plays as a result. how i can tell the difference is if there's actually objectives to the things he's doing. i think every single post he's made has had an objective to try and get a read on someone, and that thought process is almost certainly coming from a village perspective.
as for syn, i have way less experience, but generally he reads to me as just a cranky villager, with interactions with people like toopy and binoo or two and through. my only other experience with him is in loz mash where he was a wolf, and he was... somewhat similar? but overall his posts here just stick out to me more, as though his crankiness is coming from an annoyance from how people are approaching the game. like especially his interactions with two and through. the way he attacked two and through seems unnecessary given how two and through mostly kept their distance from that slot.
also stuff like the recent question hyena asked to mana. that's specifically coming from a perspective of trying to read made. he's legitimately trying to solve their slot still. if he was a wolf, it's unnecessary. all he'd have to do is park on falconknows and they cruise on. it tells me that hyena doesn't confidently townread mana and is trying to cement their read on them.

I guess that depends on your evaluation. I'd value getting rid of an extra phase above my identity; if I could get a ML off of this (assuming a 3-man scumteam), I would honestly just throw a couple of townies in there or a scummmate (depending on how risky I was feeling).
If scum plays their cards right (or if town is dumb enough), a townie gets ML'd, and the other person in that pool looks good (or neutral at worst). I can either kill off the other before MyLo, or leave them around for later and ask why scum hasn't killed them off yet.
If you put one scummate in there, they'll look good if the townie gets killed off. If they get killed, it looks like scum fell for the trap and you get a ML (admittedly, this case is an almost guaranteed lose condition).
It's way riskier, but honestly if I was scum getting killed N1 and it was suddenly 2v10, I'd feel the need to try something, and there are a lot of really good options here. I'd think there's a whole lot to gain by manipulating town

Right, but I'd take baiting a ML + mindgames you can play with town as much more valuable than town knowing there's 2 or 3 wolves still out there. There's no condition under which I'd actually give the whole scumteam (that's just stupid), but I'd take possibly buying my scummates a free phase over keeping that info hidden. And when the ML flips town, whatever protective roles town might have would tend toward targeting the other guy (which is an easier NK on a high prio target).

I feel like when town open wolfing, town will go "HAHAHA I AM AN AGENT OF CHAO" rather than "hey guys i'm a wolf ". When I open wolf as town, I'm sure to be an unhelpful as possible. I don't get why someone would open wolf and then immediately try to be (or at least try to appear to be) helpful. that's weird to me.
I like this read. Reinforces my belief that Mana is doing similar things to what I do D1.

Okay, so, it looks like this read on Mana was given sometime after the last post I quoted from Mana, but before the next one they made?
Why did you call Mana an obvious wolf at this point? Everything in their ISO up to this point (aside from the stuff that I -just- resolved to be likely towny) seems extremely towny to me. There wasn't any mech stuff surrounding Mana at this point.

I'm starting to get concerned about the Akemi hydra. Them calling Mana scummy was just the latest thing that I've seen that kinda made me nervous.
When Both Nutella and Alison initially pushed on me early D1, I didn't really it was AI at the time, even if it was a little opportunistic. I think worse of it now that they've been calling me extremely towny. I don't understand the progression they made on our slot.
Also, there was the sudden vote on Bottom Text after Bottom Text admitted they were lying to me when I was questioned them.
And then, when I outed that H&V loverized us, it seemed like they were quick to jump on H&V.
I don't think they're obvtown at the moment. Counterpoint of course is that H&V seemed to think they were likely to get NKed N1?
I dunno.

Really don't like how Falcon just pops back in thread so shortly after Poop's vote w/ a vote on H&V. They'd completely dropped off my radar as I was reading through; liked their entrance early D1, but they've really sorta done nothing after that; looks like coasting. They didn't even place a vote on H&V the first time they thought that read that like TMI; #2411's the first time they voted so far. If they were interested in putting pressure on H&K and genuinely thought that was TMI, I'd think that they would've at least pushed it a little harder lol.

In that one post where you gave the read that there's one scum between myself and H&V and named two other scumreads (might have been FK and Mana?), why did you pair me and H&V together? This is what prompted me to out that H&V loverized us, so you shouldn't have known that we were lovers at that point. But, like, the read on the pair of us felt like it came out of nowhere? Like, almost as if you knew that we had become lovers?
