This seems to be the best possible lynch we could have come up with as much as I don't want to lynch a player on day 1 in their first game on the site.

Yeah, it feels bad man, but I also feel better about this Day 1 lynch than I have in a while.

And even if it is an ML, I think we've all already put in so much effort already that we can keep this game going in the right direction. We need to stay positive.

i'm switching to Alien. i need to write Robot's bigger recent post and assess it but i don't have the time to fully absorb much at the moment, and i still don't like the Mac lynch

This looks like the post that started it all: A very innocent comment by sprityo about Mac not being actually green on MP's read list.
Here's why MacDougall dislikes sprityo:
Sprityo has avoided heat in ways he probably shouldn't have I want to see examples of this, because I don't see it in sprit's ISO.
sprityo responds to Mac's suspicions by saying "it was a joke" and "I'm bad at mafia"

Then there's Sprit's blow-up post and Mac's reaction to it. At first glance, it honestly looks like two civvs who don't understand each other.

But I can't help but notice how sprityo is reacting to this whole thing. He swings an attack, then immediately backs down, as if hoping to shut it down before Mac can swing back:

Mac's response to this is steady and forceful. He does not back down. This seems like a more common townie trait. If I had to pick a scum between Mac and Sprityo, I would choose Sprityo.

Early on you had the strongest town read on me of anybody and you flipped from this stance to being so convinced I am bad that your vote remains on me 10 minutes before EOD based on a case that a guy who doesn't even believe it himself made. You were scum reading sprityo. Your flip was extremely jarring and especially your insistence of leaving your vote there right now is especially weird. I'm gonna come back to this tomorrow if I live.

Also what does "showing his town feathers" even mean? That's what i'm talkijg about about a nebulous bar to set. Does that have an exact definition in your mind?

Well they have. I was scum reading Luna, now I'm not. I was feeling bad about aby, now I'm not. I was town-read Mac, then I scum read him, now I'm scum but town gut reading him.

And because the timing of their flip on me was when I was just about to become a wagon. It feels like an odd time to back off me when it could have been pivitol in securing my lynch

Like you just admitted that you have been "slowly turning against" me? It's just tantamount to saying that I was right about you changing your opinions just to vote me. Civs don't do that. Voting me sure, but the methodical way you went about it is just weird.

DH is a constant presence in the thread, but it’s mostly to make fun of you or offer bitter commentary. That’s being in the thread without really being in the thread. It’s removed from hunting and all that. I could be misremembering, it’s been a long and difficult day, but it’s noteworthy.

Then I'm sorry but I have no idea what you mean. Can you quote examples, because I don't think I've done that at all.

Showing his town feathers is a term I took off him from last game, he kept saying he'd scumhunt and in doing so we'd see he was town. It's like, showing he's town through his behaviour rather than just his words.

Yeah, I mean, that's true. I'm torn on him now myself. He defaulted to the POE for a while, then I thought his back and forth with Jay looked real as well as his comment this morning re: Jay and Mac, but he's definitely worth thorough evaluation either way.

What kind of civ would just disappear because it seems I'm safe now at EOD. That's scum behaviour.

Town: Tsiah, Jay, both I love their lines of interrogation and they just seem really Town to me. Aby, her defence of me from Jay felt really genuine trying to figure Jay out and wasn't afraid of splashing herself with what was being thrown my way

Like you just admitted that you have been "slowly turning against" me? It's just tantamount to saying that I was right about you changing your opinions just to vote me. Civs don't do that. Voting me sure, but the methodical way you went about it is just weird.

I don't understand what you mean. By slowly turning against you I mean that over the past 24 hours or so, ever since M Plus 7's dogpee, my town read of you has gradually declined, as I've pointed out every time a new point has added to that. I'm not talking about anything you said to me

I agree here - Alien, separating from the game for just a sec, I feel REALLY bad on a personal level for getting you lynched here on D1 since you're new. It goes against my norms. I hope we can play lots more together in the future.

I do think you're bad though, and there's enough resistance that I feel decently confident about it.

If you're town, a HUGE help would be if you could leave GTH reads on everyone before the Day ends. (actually regardless of alignment it would help)

I appreciate her thoughts right now as well, but I have to say, I don't understand why she thinks this is the most productive use of her time at EOD.

DH is a constant presence in the thread, but it’s mostly to make fun of you or offer bitter commentary. That’s being in the thread without really being in the thread. It’s removed from hunting and all that. I could be misremembering, it’s been a long and difficult day, but it’s noteworthy.

Yeah, I mean, that's true. I'm torn on him now myself. He defaulted to the POE for a while, then I thought his back and forth with Jay looked real as well as his comment this morning re: Jay and Mac, but he's definitely worth thorough evaluation either way.

This looks like the post that started it all: A very innocent comment by sprityo about Mac not being actually green on MP's read list.
Here's why MacDougall dislikes sprityo:
Sprityo has avoided heat in ways he probably shouldn't have I want to see examples of this, because I don't see it in sprit's ISO.
sprityo responds to Mac's suspicions by saying "it was a joke" and "I'm bad at mafia"

Then there's Sprit's blow-up post and Mac's reaction to it. At first glance, it honestly looks like two civvs who don't understand each other.

But I can't help but notice how sprityo is reacting to this whole thing. He swings an attack, then immediately backs down, as if hoping to shut it down before Mac can swing back:

Mac's response to this is steady and forceful. He does not back down. This seems like a more common townie trait. If I had to pick a scum between Mac and Sprityo, I would choose Sprityo.

Early on you had the strongest town read on me of anybody and you flipped from this stance to being so convinced I am bad that your vote remains on me 10 minutes before EOD based on a case that a guy who doesn't even believe it himself made. You were scum reading sprityo. Your flip was extremely jarring and especially your insistence of leaving your vote there right now is especially weird. I'm gonna come back to this tomorrow if I live.

Your town read has gradually declined the more it looked like your lynch was gaining traction. Meanwhile the vast majority of players opinions of me have shifted the other direction. It's a scum mindset.
