So we should look at low liers?Long Con wrote:Baddies have been laying very low.
Ok, so Sabie had no real on-topic posts, and then was replaced by A Person, who has had basically one on-topic post, plus two more discussing how he doesn't know how the Uwe Boll lock works. His one post is "I had wanted to vote MM but the thread was lockedI've felt he was fishy all game."
So that's a likely place to put my vote.
Lizzy had a handful of on-topics, casting some suspicion at Llama, and voting Metalmarsh with no real reasons stated. Made has been much more active, with some real analytical posts on DFaraday.
Made, why did you look at the votes on Days 5 and 6, and call out S~V~S and Roxy, but not Ricochet or Canuck?
I'm curious.Canucklehead wrote:Why not?Dom wrote:Why LC?Canucklehead wrote:I think Rixy, or maybe LC, or maybemaybe old sabie/lizzy would be good for lynching today.
That is a statement that is very misrepresentative of my game.Canucklehead wrote:I'm not bad, either, but the problem is I really don't know who is. I've been so wrong about everyone I suspected, that maybe it's time to start suspecting the people I've trusted.Long Con wrote:Because I'm not bad, and several of you are.Maybe you? Mate Dom, who has done little but ask deflecting questions all game? Maybe the players who were replaced because their baddie teammates were desperate to drop the dead weight of no-shows? I dunno. I'm lost.
I know my head is on the chopping block today, but I'm a civ and ice played like a civ (i.e. blindly and without success) the entire game.
It's one way to look at things. I'm just brainstorming about what might be "going on" in this game. The baddies have been very successful in shaping a lot of Civvie lynches. I think it's possible that they sat back and let us lynch each other, rather than taking an active hand in the lynches.Dom wrote:So we should look at low liers?Long Con wrote:Baddies have been laying very low.

Interesting.
Plus, low posters are easier to summarize, and I'm a busy guy. 10:15am, that was just before I went and spent an hour filling buckets with water and carrying them to horses because the barn tap is frozen. Thirsty horses, man, I can't be going through 60+ posts for a case at that time of day!

The answer: all of them, if you are a marmot.
AP, Vomps and Bass.Long Con wrote:I also ask that question of the next person to post.
Why makes you vote AP of the three replacements, based on what you said about him? Also, since AP replaced sabie, i.e. the only completely inactive player in this game, I'd also have to ask how can you discern from her complete inactivity (and also her N1 survival) that she was a baddie in hiding, therefore that AP too was now assigned that baddie role?Long Con wrote:I felt good about Made's recent posts, so I would be more likely to vote A Person between the two of them.
Who are the three people you would be least likely to vote for, Dom?
That's tough because the people I've trusted have been dying. :/Long Con wrote:I felt good about Made's recent posts, so I would be more likely to vote A Person between the two of them.

Did Roxy ever vote for MM?Turnip Head wrote:Looking through Bass' posts I think he just has a gut feeling about Roxy. He also thought she was doing hard distancing with MM. I'll need to look into Roxy's posts next to figure out why he thinks that, but I'm happy to report it isn't the case.
Canuck, you (to a much smaller extent), and potentially a few others.Turnip Head wrote:Who do you suspect, Dom?
Yet she suspected him for many days, no?Turnip Head wrote:To answer your question Dom, Roxy only voted for MM on the day he was lynched. That doesn't look good, does it?
Hard times sometimes call for insane measures. I'm still on the fence about Canuck.Turnip Head wrote:That sounds like an absolutely insane task, LCWhat made you think of it? I plan on going through her posts tomorrow.
I believe we can still turn this thing around my friend. What do you make of Canuck defending MM?
I'm feeling Canuck might be bad just because I was on the fence and then SVS died-- idk, man.Long Con wrote:Hard times sometimes call for insane measures. Flying under the radar is a tried and true mafia strategy. The civvies focus all their energy on the louder/more active people in the thread (because it is human nature to pay attention to those people, and because there is more substance there to build "cases" on), and the baddies lie low and go relatively unnoticed until the late game, when the numbers are so low tht they can't hide any more (like now) but by that point there's no way to make a real case against them because there's just nothing there (like now).Ricochet wrote:I still don't get why we should lynch AP for doing little to nothing. Again. It's like saying the most inactive substitute for the most inactive player is the most likely baddie of all.
I fully understand the theory behind this and am not trying to exonerate AP or any of the low-liers; you may recall that I was gradually wary of Spacedaisy actually being such a player: busy in RL, occasionally online, yet unwilling to even pop in around here. This was the type of inactivity that seemed to me that potential teammates would also be ok with, while they act "louder/more active" in the thread.Canucklehead wrote:Flying under the radar is a tried and true mafia strategy. This is not to say that all low-participants are bad (that's obvioisly not the case), but flying under the radar is (for me at least) a point of suspicion rather than a reason to exonerate.
What changed from your previous post?Canucklehead wrote:Just so we've got our semantics clear whilst we're catching up Ol' Nippy, let the record show tht I did not *defend* MM so much as I failed to see any compelling reason to vote for him. It's a subtle difference, but an important one.
I'm sad that we can't vote for RoxNip today, because I really am starting to think that they're badbad....but I guess there are still about 4 billion other baddies gleefully rolling about in the thread, so I guess I just have to decide which one to vote for.
I think Sabie/Ap is my most likely vote today. I will NOT be voting for Bass, myself, SD/Vomps, or RoxNip (but only because I can't). All the rest of y'all are fair game.

Hi. I don't think I am trying to fly under the radar, I've just not been posting. If you want my thoughts on the game, I think I'll vote Long Con today. Normally I'm too scared to take risks because I so often end up killing civs, but we're in peril of losing so there is not much to lose at this point. LC was the one to start the recent crusade against low posters, and I think it's because we're easy targets at this point. If they kill off a couple low posting civs, they win.Ricochet wrote:Also, AP, kindly address this. Or anything.
My first list was an off-the-top-of-my-head response to reading LC's question. My second was after actual thought on the matter.Dom wrote:What changed from your previous post?Canucklehead wrote:Just so we've got our semantics clear whilst we're catching up Ol' Nippy, let the record show tht I did not *defend* MM so much as I failed to see any compelling reason to vote for him. That's a radically different answer.
